Ekadashi date is dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the sustainer of the universe. In the scriptures, Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month is known as Varuthini Ekadashi. Both Vaishakh month and Ekadashi date are very dear to Lord Vishnu, hence the importance of this Ekadashi increases even more. This time this auspicious Ekadashi is on 4th May. On this day, devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu for happiness and peace in life and also observe a fast. It is believed that by doing this on the day of Ekadashi, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.
एकादशी तिथि सृष्टि के पालनहार भगवान श्री हरि विष्णु को समर्पित है। शास्त्रों में वैशाख माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी को वरुथिनी एकादशी के नाम से जाना जाता है। वैशाख माह और एकादशी तिथि दोनों ही भगवान विष्णु को अत्यंत प्रिय हैं, इसलिए भी इस एकादशी का और भी महत्व बढ़ जाता है। इस बार यह पुण्यदायी एकादशी 04 मई को है। इस दिन साधक जीवन में सुख और शांति के लिए भगवान विष्णु के संग मां लक्ष्मी की पूजा करते हैं और व्रत भी रखते हैं। मान्यता है कि एकादशी के दिन ऐसा करने से भक्तों की सभी मनोकामनाएं पूरी होती हैं
