Thoroughly enjoyed this video. The drone footage and the poetry especially. Even the little history thrown in. Tell me: How much to park at Low Bradfield overnight please?
@@HikingForHealth1 It certainly does, thank you! Plan to take advantage of less wind this Saturday and head for the edge. 3+ hr drive for me so parking is crucial. Thanks again!
@londonviking3801 head to Low Bradfield and the cricket pitch. You may need to drive round it to find the entrance depending on what road you enter but it’s easy to find. Have a great camp. 🙂🏕️
Beautiful in every way Gav, that trig point was a stunner, I thought Kinder Low was high up until Id seen this one..Very nicely edited video, the sunrise was stunning, as was the heather. I really like that camp apot, there looked to be some cracking pitches in and around the rocks. Thanks for sharing, and stay safe. +1 for the poetry - that was my Mams favourite poem, we had had it on our wall, in a pre internet time you used to read everything, cereal packets, wall posters, even instructions! How times have changed, the information age has lost its detail! 🙂
Thanks for watching Phil, it’s a bit of a unique trig as requires a little bit of a scramble to get to it. Great views once you’re there. Was a bit interesting with the drone as kept getting high wind warnings when sending it up high. With it being mid week was nice and quiet. Can get busy at weekends though. Yeah, love that poem! Often think about it’s message when I’m out and about hiking.
@@HikingForHealth1 Ive ignored the wind warnings quite a few times with no issues. Theres a second message that comes up when its really unhappy but Ive never seen it.
Thanks, that’s very much appreciated 🙏🏼. I was certainly spoiled with that sunrise. Just nature doing it’s very best to bring a smile. Awesome stuff. Cheers and all the best.
yes that was one nice no lovely sunrise buddie and so relaxing. oh i went on my first oex bobcat 1 wild camp on a closed dwn golf course its in west lancishire and i was that hot in that bobcat i had to pop my head out the tent to cool dwn lol no great video my mate from austieoutdoors 👍💯.
Thanks bud. It was a great camp for sure. Those Bobcats are warm tents as they’re so compact and the mesh is at the top of the inner door. Never had a problem with condensation that much though. Thanks for watching. All the best!
@@HikingForHealth1 no i didn,t have condensation i was just hot no not one bit of condensation mate its been great and i see you was in my fav tent the cloud peak thats one lovely looking tent
Thanks Dave. Really enjoyed this camp. Perfect conditions and that sunrise was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Appreciate you watching. Hope you’re well! 🙂🏍️
@@HikingForHealth1 all good Gav and off on the Bike this morning, the weather is looking very mixed for the next 10 days. I followed your route on the OS maps and the sunrise well you don’t get many like that. 🏍️🛳️⛺️🍻
I think I bottled it as it would have sailed right overhead I think 😂 I’ll beat it next time. That sunrise - lost for words. I’d set the alarm but noticed there was also a glow on the tent from the inside. Just epic. Thanks for watching 🏕️
It was quite surreal. Just wished it could have lasted a little longer as the colours changed from pinks/purples to oranges very quickly. Then it was just the standard grey. September coming up is awesome for sunrises and sunsets so there should be quite a few to look forward to. Thanks for watching. Gav
Yeah.. moments that spectacular are usually brief aren't they, which makes it all the more special when you capture them in such breathtaking surroundings. 💥 All the best Gav. 🏕️
It was a great hike in, with a range of scenery to mix it all up a bit. Peaceful camp too. Shame about the midges but they weren’t about for long when the breeze picked up. All the best.
Thanks, wasn’t quite expecting that sunrise. It didn’t last for long but whilst it did… wow. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. All the best. Gav
The kind of video I ‘LIKE’ before even watching these days. A guaranteed good watch every time and very relaxing. I was looking through the work window that morning around 05:20 trying to keep my eyes open and then I saw the sky and knew someone lucky would be out enjoying that moment. I’ve swam in Dale Dyke and Agden reservoirs under the moon and sunrises, it’s a beautiful part of the Peaks. That’s for taking me along on your adventure from The comfort of my swing chair whilst my workmen are banging my house to bits! A welcome Retreat ❤
Ah thanks for that. It was unreal and the colours were so bright. It was a great hike in and the camp made it all even better. Hope the new house is coming along well. Thanks for watching 🙂
Ha. I camped on that exact 2sq m pitch you have, earlier in May. Had a wonderful night up there too. Absolutely silent. Apart from the sheep who came to wake me up at 5:30am
It’s a great spot that. Quite a few nice ones around there 👍🏻 🏕️ Strange and unique old trig up there on that rock. Thanks for watching Alex and all the best 🙂
