It is so so weird to live in a timeline where a prequel to an absolute disaster is more well received and written better, than a prequel to an absolute cinematic masterpiece…
I know right the 2020s what the f***
Hey Now, GOT was nowhere near a disaster, it just ended disastrously.
LOTR did also have The Hobbit trilogy which weren't as great as the LOTR trilogy but still very good.
GOT huge
@@blingximus well ya that’s what I mean. S8 in particular
The fact that Deamon didn't speak a single word the whole part in the stepstones and still tell a million words shows how good the writing was
And acting
Right because within only 2 episodes they managed to create a full enough character that we could understand him without him explaining all his reason. Its a pretty confident move on the writers part and it worked.
That part was kind of cool, but the fact that for years the Triarchy has lived and kept them at bay, and then all the sudden fall for that ploy, just doesn't really hold water for me.
Exactly! I was trying to explain how this show doesn't waste words. Well shot, directed and written.
@@ordocastus The look on Daemon's face when the messenger read the letter from the king was priceless. I thought he was actually touched, and then...
The characters are complex.
Maybe it’s not a masterpiece, but We take wins where We can get them. A show that actually SHOWS is a big step in the right direction.
If you have read fire and blood you know that the best still to come. THEY are still establishing the characters because it occurs over about 30 years
For House of The Dragon , we are barely scratching the surface , real greatness is yet to come
@@fahad.2924
Fingers crossed. So far so good.
With only 3 episodes it can’t be a masterpiece. If they do it right with the source material they have, then it will be epic.
It's a masterpiece compared to RoP.
Masterclass in acting by Matt smith. Show don’t tell to perfection.
That was not so much Matt Smith's decision as it was the showrunners and the writers, but he did act well.
I actually don't think most of Rings of Power actors are bad, but they have shit writing to work with, so there's only so much they can do.
Paddy Considine has acted way better than any other cast member
its was his subtlety in his movements were fantastic when he wasnt speaking plus his actions scenes were great!
Him and Paddy Constantine steal the show
The casting is a mess though. I mean you can take one or two actors (Matt Smith) as doing a good job but compared to initial Game of Thrones seasons, it's far below that level of quality.
I have to admit Matt Smith is excellent in this role. By his acting I can tell his motivation and reasoning. All HAIL to Matt Smith.
@Tala K True.
Love the guy, great docto then Prince Philipp and now Daemon. A powerhkuse that guy is.
When the show started I was disappointed because the role is not one that lets him show off his rascally charm, but after episode 3 I'm fully invested.
GRRM writing for House of the Dragon is beyond being ironic.
*THE ENTIRE POINT* of A Song of Ice and Fire is that the white walkers are coming to end the world, but everyone is far too obsessed with their own little lives to care about looking into it. Which has now finally reached the meta level where even the AUTHOR of the series has stopped caring about the winter coming, and is instead obsessively writing about the petty little lives of everyone that has ever lived in his world.
The Night King has won.
ingenious
That would have been a great ending. The petty squabbling turns into a war and no one is left to stop the white walkers.
He's not writing for the show. They give him a big bag of money, he gives his advice and input on some things and the show runners can either listen to or ignore him.
@@liamjm9278 Nah. George himself said Ryan is working closely with him on approving stuff with the series. HOTD is based on a collection of history and isn't a POV novel.
@@airwaters George a 2 weeks ago in an interview, with the History of Westeros Podcast, explained what he does, which is what I said. He can influence the show-runners by talking to them about things, but that's it. He has no creative control like script approval or anything like that, just his advice which can be ignored.
It's similar to his role in early Got. Even then some of his advice was ignored like Jane Pool not being established, which caused problems later on with Ramsey.
I love how unsubtle and politically inept Lord Jason Lannister is as opposed to Tywin. I can just imagine the two meeting in the afterlife and Tywin growling to Jason, "How, by the gods, are we related?!"
His father was tytos who was just as bad
Lannister were mostly inept if you look at their history only Loren and Tywin stood out.
Tywin was a titan as he felt most of his siblings were inept, so he went out to crush all of them and secure the family line.
@@raphaelostrowski6336 and Gerold (Tywin’s grandfather)
@@raphaelostrowski6336 Joanna Lannister was kind of cool
I wasn't expecting much from HotD to be honest, but it's been genuinely enjoyable so far, and is getting better with each episode. The dialogue, story, and acting are all pretty good IMO. It really just makes the failure of RoP all the more obvious.
Emma d'Arcys acting is "excellent"?
@@8asw8 She hasn't been in the show yet.
@@USN1985dos Just realised that. Than the chick that lays Rhaenyra. And since d'Arcy's comments before release, I am not holding my breath for her.
@@8asw8 I think Milly Alcock (current Rhaenyra) has been pretty good, tbh. As for D'Arcy, her haircut alone flags her as a tard, but hopefully she can act enough so that it's possible to separate the character from the actress. If not, then it's going to be a pretty bad spiral. At least the end of her arc will be satisfying if that's the case, lol.
@@USN1985dos he hasn’t even seen the fucking show and he’s chattting shit ahhh
Why is everyone missing the wonderful characterisation of Alicent? Her finger nail picking when she is cornered, her genuine love for the king and her sound advice to Viserys.
Agreed. Fantastic character and development.
I just realized that Daemon always knew that his men would follow him since he saw Laenor's battle plan on the table to lure Crabfeeder's men outside their caves using Daemon as bait.. Wow!
Of course it was suicide mission... But damn... It shows us how much Daemon is focused and determined..
Determined to beat those bast*rds WITHOUT Big Brother's help or die trying. Matt Smith nailed it.
You mean the worst battle filmed for this IP yet? One man, Legolas...erm, I mean, Deamon cutting through dozens like its nothing, dodging volleys of arrows and then, the masked grunting gimp...erm, I mean Prince Crab Feeder then forgets his enemy has an army and dragons and sends his own entire army out to...surround the one person...oh fuck it this battel was shite.
Oh, and it all happens because Deamon gets a LETTER saying help is coming and so he magically wins because, angry, even though he was losing for 2 fucking years?

There was a weirwood tree in Kings Landing that had been cut down prior to ASOIAF, it’s mentioned in AGOT and in the show it’s hinted at during season 1 episode 7 when Ned was talking to Cersei by what used to be the weirwood

Yep RoP will surely "win" in the MSNPC media acolytes' demographic. They exhibit the collective discernment of a boiled turnip.
The reason is garment dirtiness vs cleanliness.
Its crazy was decent writing and good acting can do. Everyone is on about Matt Smith. But Viserys is my fav so far. Honestly most of the characters are done well and written well thus far. Also people still like GOT. They just dont like the last couple seasons. It doesnt make the rest disappear. So I don't view GOT as a whole disaster. Just a horrible finish. I think many are in the same boat. This show is doing all the things that GOT did well. Mainly dialogue, plots, characters, relatable movitions. The only thing it doesnt do is add tons of mysticism (ie white walkers)... which is A OK to me. I think I like it better than you though because SO FAR I'd give it an 8... maybe a 7 if I'm having a bad day. I actually think your hatred for GOT is dragging the score down lol
Honestly, I’ve been thinking that the writing is decent (nothing special) but the acting has been piss poor besides Daemon and the Hand of the King. Viserys has had a few good scenes which is dependent on the scenario. He lacks range.
No white walkers; instead Dragons. MORE Dragons
GOT's legacy is ruined, for me. I love the first four seasons. But ultimately, I judge the series as a whole and GOT let me down big time. It's not just the last season but the constant downfall in quality of storytelling post season four. No amount of prequel, or sequel is going to fix that. At least this story is written and has an ending, so they can't make up excuses.
@@saelind73 I was thinking the same thing: the symptoms of decay already started season5 onward , notably with Stannis' death
I’ve actually been really surprised in how many people who got burned have committed to watching this. They say they just really missed this world. I’ve no doubt if it starts self destructing, they’ll bail, so hopefully they kept that in mind when they were writing it.
Seeing how good House of the Dragon is breaks my heart even more for Game of Thrones, because GOT had enough book material to make atleast 10 seasons with NO effort as the writing has already been done for you. You only needed to be creative enough to write 3 more seasons.
It's over and done. Let's move on already.
nah house of dragons still sucks cuz of the casting
Matt Smith told an amazing story on the Step Stones without saying a single word. I will take the win (as unexpected as it was) because we have had so few in recent years of Fantasy.
matt smith is so good i didn't even notice he had no dialogue. 🤣
Good writting makes for a good show. I cling to every word of dialog in here.
they have one goal, DONT BE BORING.
LOTR ROP, is *BORING*
@@MalcomJuliaMorgan And they at least have interesting characters in HOD.
And don't attack your potential customers.
Thats what I did in Thrones.
The dialogue got really horrible after se5
season 8 GOT proved that and this "rings of power"..well I'm guessing the writers of that show still haven't seen season 8 GOT
at the end of the day, the cgi doesn't matter, the message doesn't matter, the diversity or woke'ism or whatever doesn't matter..only the story matters, if it's not entertaining then it fails, plenty of shows out there forget this, they get lost in dramatic scenes or flashy fight sequences or really heavy dreadful atmospheres and elaborate set designs but they end up being a depressing chore to watch, the characters are lame, you gotta have AT LEAST 1 character that draws you in and hopefully it's a lead character, this doesn't even have 1
it reminds me of the walking dead where for many seasons there was no character development in characters that had been there for years and the only time they developed a character was the very same episode they killed him in, haha, you could spot it so easily, meanwhile that same actor was in a previous series for just a few episodes and he's identified as that character, HBO develops characters so well, hell the SYFY channel does it better than Amazon seems to do it, their characters just jump from scene to scene, this show will fail just like that Y:The Last Man failed..and that show should have been a very easy success, that show could have been huge, what a waste
never imagined the day doctor who would be in a game of thrones series and be doing better than lord of the rings, it's not perfect but in terms of competitions rings of power didn't set a very high bar... i am glad matt smith was able to easily move on after morbius and didn't get his career ruined though, he's a likeable guy and a damn good actor.
The cinematorahpy in RoP is another level. It does feel better made but... The problem was the source material. It's not even remotely the size of the backstory (already written) to HotD and the characters aren't really Tolkien's apart from a few. It's not awful like some have stated though. Better than the Hobbit films if you ask me. I can pick far more faults in the Hobbit movies than a slow start series.
It's not as if Morbius was riding on Smith's shoulders; he did a job and left. Jared Leto, on the other hand... that prettyboy tripod should probably run screaming.
I thought there was a weirdwood tree in the godswood. I seem to remember Sansa visiting it to "pray", while she was really using it to meet Dontos in secret and plan her escape from The Red Keep.
I was thinking the same thing. I remember the books mentioning that
yep
She goes to the Godswood, but the weirwood trees in the South were cut down by the Anals thousands of years ago. I think their heart tree is an old oak or something.
Weirdingwodes we is Ent.
Ah yes, the "Anals" xD
I feel like the biggest hurdle this show is going to have to get over at this point is changing out Milly Alcock for Emma D'Arcy in a few episodes. I feel like Milly has a better look and am kind of already attached to her as the "face" of the show. I'm not looking forward to the time skip.
Yup, I’m a little concerned. Milly Alcock is really popular. Actually it might be good, since some are associating her with Denarys, and she is not her.
Hard agree. Especially since I saw a video of Emma at the premiere and she had a rather goofy looking, short masculine haircut and wore a huge men’s suit. Ever since then, all I can picture “older” Rhaenyra as, is that utter clown. I can’t associate her as a Targaryen Princess after that, much less one who was called the “Realm’s Delight”.
Rhaenyras children will be around 13 years old, milly is too young to look sround 30 years old
Me either. I don’t know why people associate her with Daeny, they have totally different vibes and nothing the same in looks. People just see blond hair and blank out
Indeed. The whole time skip and new actors and characters introduced in the second half of this season will set the show up for the rest of its run. The first half is already established as a nice mini-arc in the grand scheme of things. The second half will make or break the series.
What I thought they could show:
a) Sauron as a Promethean figure impacting the peoples, beliefs and cultures of prehistoric men, in a religious engineering;
b) Galadriel reflecting on her role and moving towards the queen-philosopher archetype;
c) Show Harad and Rhûn an inspiration (as Tolkien said in 1966) from the myths and histories of Africa and Asia.
But only elves, only dwarves, only hobbits. And that's after 6 movies.
*harfoots*

Bollywood sure is not for everyone but they could never mess up Tolkien more than Amazon did 😁.

Regarding the comment about the godswood, in the books the Red Keep actually does have a godswood and a heart tree and is also a big plotpoint as Sansa visits the place multiple times throughout her imprisonment in King's Landing and is the place where she planned her escape with the knight working in Littlefinger's favour
George R.R. Martin went from "respected author" to "sell-out show writer." Everyone has been waiting for him to finish his book, (which he likely never will before he dies from an "obesity" caused heart attack).
Glad that I have all of the Easton Press Tolkien books and Peter Jackson's Extended Edition movies.
Fantasy TV and Movies has been usurped by "leftist wokeism."
I still respect George R. R. Martin he's been writing books and scripts his whole career nothing has changed.
Is there something better about the Easton press books than other publisher's? When I was in high school it was Balentine books (BB) editions that I read
Patty Considine is absolutely killing this role. My favorite character so far
Side note on an admittedly very nitpicky thing that has bugged me about the stepstones conflict; in real life, the main use of flamethrowers was cave and bunker clearing-the way they mostly caused death wasnt through the direct burning and immolation of people, but by sucking the air out of tight places, resulting in suffocation.
I'd imagine a dragon or two stationed at a couple of cave entrances, with maybe a pile of logs to produce smoke jammed in,would clear those caves very quickly.
I thought the same thing. But clever tactics aren't as impressive as cool sword fighting and lots of people being burned alive 🤷
Interesting how LOTR:ROP has a rascissists problem, while GOT:HOTD seems to have no issues.

It's simple: once you have THE Doctor on your TV show, it gets better simply by him being there.
Rings of Power, killed the Queen. It's so bad!
I like the younger actress playing the queen, and have a feeling the time jump to the older version might not match up as the same character. I hope it doesn't mess up the show.
I agree. I don't really understand why they changed Millie since she is 22 years old and could play a woman in her thirties. And then they didn't even shange her for someone visually older.. Emma is only 30. So I don't really get this swapping of characters, but we'll see how it goes. I'm just glad Matt Smith wasn't replaced!
@@yenneferL98 realistically Millie looks anywhere from 14 to 20 depending upon the scene. Absolutely the best decision to change her
Exactly! She makes a convincing Rhaenyra and her chemistry with Matt Smith’s Daemon is great so far. But the slightly older actress who replaces her? Nah. I don’t see her as Rhaenyra and she probably has no chemistry with Smith and idk why they just couldn’t keep Milly for an older Rhaenyra when they literally also kept Matt Smith as an older Daemon too. Like I don’t understand the point of replacing her especially since said older replacement isn’t even THAT much older than she is. Just seems like an unnecessary waste.
@@yenneferL98 yeah like you said, her replacement isn’t much older anyway and they kept Matt as older Daemon too instead of replacing him for an older actor as well, so why replace Milly? Especially since she seems like such a good Rhaenyra (so far) and it isn’t like she’s a kid. She’s in her 20’s.
Its funny how people are judging D'Arcy without having seen any scenes. She isn't replacing Milly. Instead, Milly was cast as D'Arcy's younger version. It's in line with the rest of the cast as well. Not limited to this specific character.
People have a lower expectation of House of The Dragon. it hit rock bottom already, Rings of power hadn't done that.. until now.
You know, I've not been hearing complaints about wokeness in House of the Dragon - despite girl power and black Valyrians. It's almost like people don't actually have a problem with black people and strong women in fantasy when the story makes sense and stays true to the spirit of source material.
Yes, this. As long as it’s not in-your-face and shoved down your throat, ppl seem to generally be fine with such things especially if the actors are competent. But Rings Of Power does exactly that, blatantly shoves the wokeness in your face, all the while insulting Lotr fans directly and bastardizing Tolkien’s lore.
I dislike the race swap of Valyrians but it still made more sense to turn only one family from a distant land black than to just sprinkle poc here and there (like in RoP).
@@nickb1156 Agreed, it would have been better had they not done any race-swapping but the shows popularity seems to not be suffering from it.
@@buzzardbeatniks I had noticed some complaining when it was first announced but it wasn't done too sloppily and, most importantly, the GoT fandom doesn't care as much. Paddy Considine has been great as Viserys. Grief, anger, frustration, joyous moments, it's all there... unlike his fingers. I wonder how many seasons they've got planned, hope they keep it tight and well-paced.
I totally dig House of the Dragon, not a wasted scene or word, well written and looks good.
only a 6-7? I mean its fine to have an opinion but then you should do a bit more explaining in what you think the episode lacked
Not gonna lie. It took a Gary, an Az, a Mauler and a Shad for me to even think about watching this. Hope it won't end like the last time.
Also; rip the Queen, she was the last monarch of that great generation. I pray the UK will get through this.
I rewatched the episode last night, because it is rewatch worthy, and picked up on something that is literally right there in front of us, but no one focusses on.
Rheanera keeps saying how she is afraid of losing her heir-hood, but she refuses to act regally. She doesn't want to take part in any royal activities, whether it be hunting or getting married. She clashes with the high born of other houses.
And yet... did anyone else see the look Harwin Strong gave when he saw her bringing that boar back? It is like they are part of a newer, younger generation of royalty (along with Laenor who is out fighting) is purposefully juxtaposed to the old sniveling mob who is only used to tourneys and cake.
And then you have Allicent who is bridging that gap, or trying to, in so many ways.
I love the subtle ways in which she tries to back on Rhaenera's side. You can see how one day she just snaps and gets 'over' it.
The one thing I'll give this show over a lot recently with the boar scene. Yes she would have clearly been dead but the scene did not seem like she didn't as a "Strong woman out strong boar" but more just hollywood being unrealistic and them trying to build up suspense of whether she would die or not.
The main reason for this I believe is because yes she didn't die and held it off but she didn't then just flip it over and stab it, it took the knight saving her for her to escape and then go stabby stab all over the boar.
I refuse to give to George R. R. Martin a single penny. So I do with Amazon Rings of Boring.

Hey Gary, you're very particular about details of lore being correct, how about pronouncing Paddy Considine's name right? Just read it carefully and say the sounds slowly a couple of times to get the hang of it first. - Con - Sid - Ine. Considine. There you go, easy.
Up until now, I was watching reviews and not caring about spoilers because I thought I no longer have access to HBO max since we moved. But my daughter is still paying for it (b/c I won't) and I watched the 1st three episodes to see what the fuss is about and I'm really enjoying it. So now I have to avoid most reviews but that's alright, I am in the know! 😄
My biggest issue with rings of power is I do not see myself represented on that screen. LMFAO!!! I kept an open mind and tried to allow the show to stand on its own two feet apart from lore etc etc and it's just bad and boring.
Also a nice touch that the episode concluded with the dragon spewing fire on their enemies and Daemon dragging out the partial corpse of his enemy covered in blood. A literal representation of the words of House Targaryan - "Fire and Blood".
I’m pleasantly surprised by how good “House of the Dragon” actually is. They are really developing characters and I’ve really enjoyed all three episodes.

Maybe George Martin is loving the feeling of it, because besides he says he is a fan of Tolkien, it feels that he talked about with some jealousy.
why does nobody ever adress that those arent dragons? they are wyverns! dragons have 4 limbs + wings.
I thought the solo combat scene from Daemon was too much, even for a fantasy show. The army was posted there for years and he defeats them in a single afternoon.
I can’t disagree because I haven’t checked I always thought that’s why Sansa went to the gods wood all the time because there was a weirwood tree! I assumed there was 1 in every major house 🤷🏻♂️
7:22 I mentioned this during FNT but no one reads these messages. A STAG is a fully mature male deer. A buck is a male deer that has yet to reach physical maturity. That white Hart was a STAG, not a buck.
Colloquially they are used interchangeably even amongst conservationists and biologists. In fact, the only time I hear the word stag is when it is associated with specific members of that family, such as red deer i.e., Red Stags.
I was talking to my Mum about Rings of Power today and she asked if it had any known actors in it. Literally the only name she would know is Lenny Henry. That is utterly pathetic. When you consider they got Matt Smith for House of Dragons, that is absolutely shocking.
- I thought he was a comedian

I notice that it is one of the weak decision that ROP had made. They should have put critically acclaimed actors to helm 1-2 important characters. Then the rest can be relatively unknown. GOT had Peter Dinklage & Sean Bean. HOTD had Matt Smith & Paddy Considine. It just puts some trust in the level of acting prowess in the show. It will give leeway to unknown actors to show how they will do next to the great actors they are with.
This is the reason I am impressed with young Alicent and Rhaenyra as they are holding their ground with Matt, Rhys, and Paddy. It was a very impressive feat, acting-wise. ROP should have someone charismatic and acclaimed early on.
I like how you said Otto Hightower is becoming the Tywin/little finger of the show, I thought the same thing after this episode though I get more littlfinger vibe than Tywin
Yes because at least Tywin was loyal to the Crown until Aerys pissed him off one too many times. So Otto is definitely like a Littlefinger, obviously not really loyal to Viserys, only his own self interests.
Wasn't this the same guy saying that House of the Dragon would be woke garbage? Grifters gonna grift.
When she killed the boar poncho said think ya could of found something bigger
The kings guard dude got the boar off her but Rhaenyra dealt the final stabs that killed the boar. Idk why it’s so hard for everyone to remember that.
Why is it that I think about Police Academy, every time I hear the name HIGHTOWER?
An ok episode. Although I thought the ending and the battle with the crabfeeder had a weird pace, like they had cut a whole lot of it.
You just want to watch unnecessary fight scenes. We get the point from the half body he was dragging
@@adedayooyegunju828 You can think whatever you want, but you'd be wrong.
Crabfeeder makes some questionable tactical decisions at the end but I guess I might be nitpicking. Good episode though
It was a good episode but it left a bad taste in my mouth because of how stupid the ending battle was.
You aren't nitpicking, the end is stupid imo. Sending out your entire army to attack one guy that is already shot? I know he's a dragon rider so important to take out, but it still wouldn't have required more than crab-feeder sending an archer to the spot where Damon was taking cover and firing an arrow into his face from a safe distance. It was basically lets make this character make a decision that no person actually would so the plot can happen. You'd think with George assisting with the show they could've come up with something more sensible.
Thanks for throwing in spoilers for no reason and with no warning
Then Ilúvatar spoke, and he said: ‘Mighty are the Ainur, and mightiest among them is Melkor; but that he may know, and all the Ainur, that I am Ilúvatar, those things that ye have sung, I will show them forth, that ye may see what ye have done. And thou, Melkor, shalt see that no theme may be played that hath not its uttermost source in me, nor can any alter the music in my despite. For he that attempteth this shall prove but mine instrument in the devising of things more wonderful, which he himself hath not imagined.’
I rather enjoy Rings of Power, don’t think it’s nearly as bad as it could’ve been, but House of the Dragons is leaps and bounds ahead of it right now.
…great insight, as always…a small request please: you mentioned several details about characters and storyline that haven’t yet appeared on-screen so I asume you got it from the book…I myself haven’t read it (I’m still waiting for the real one not some prequel)…but if you could avoid those tidbits of info it would be great ‘cause it’s kind of a spoiler…keep all the great work you do!!!
I have the same comment, 100% agree.
Man the scene where you edited in Tim with the music riff was flawless, and I was dying with laughter at it. I say that as someone who hears him out on the regular, which made it so much funnier. Also the sound you had Daemon make while rowing was great too. Fitting little review that echoes my sentiments exactly. Great work.
"I'm eating cake while men die"
Let me guess, nobody is going to adress this in the show and it's just gonna be "haha men die lol" and that's it. Sad.
The Mighty Morfydd Elven Rangers isn't feeling too good, Mr Stark.
HOTD is great so far! Not as woke as I thought it would be. Hope they don't screw it up
Rhys Ifans sounds like a recalled pharmaceutical that you would see in a commercial. "Have you or a loved one been effected by Rhysifans? You may be entitled to compensation!"
Amazon should have just made a western. We all loved that first season of Westworld. And who needs to waste money on cgi when Monument Valley exists? Amazon thought it could take a popular name and make an easy buck on it. They're like AMC who thought they could put zombies in a show, not give a damn about the writing, and expect 17+million viewers to continue watching it for 10 years.
I feel like nobody needs nerdotic’s extremely augmented magnifying glasses to see that Rings Of Power is absolute hot shite 😬
Honestly, HotD is probably a 7 for me, but in light of all the other shit lately (RoP) it just feels like a 9. At least Cobra Kai S5 was fun. So, if you like Cobra Kai you can look forward to that tomorrow.
That Mario jump sound effect with Guy-ladriel at 12:40 cracked me up.
Can we talk about how HofD feels like it has a much larger budget than ROP despite the opposite being true? The quality of it feels much higher. Including the CGI.
I've started watching the classic Japanese Kurosawa samurai movies to get away from woke US and UK movies. I don't need the samurai warriors to be Tom Cruise in order to like the characters. They don't need to be white.
There is a chasm between the two shows. There is also a chasm in their respective response & treatment of fans. Amazon’s ‘race baiting’ is disgusting.
at 4:13 funny little detail. Stark means Strong in german. For some stupid reason they translated the original names in german (which sound horrible), now I wonder if they gonna do the same with house Strong, just to confuse everybody lol
The big difference for me, people in house of the dragon talk like adults and rings of power reminds me of a toddlers book.
Daemon is a badass!
Actually, Rhaenyra is the one who killed the boar, cutting its throat with what I assume is a Valyrian steel knife.
@Darth Metaluna I don't think so. You can see when she speaks with the other ladies that the knife is a lot smaller. Viserys probably keeps the other Valyrian blade.
Hmm it looks like the Crabfeeder has grayscale and Daemon literaly bathes in his blood.
Pretty sure when the king says hes annoyed with "politicking" that was a cap tip to viewers.
underrated post... that would be the best easter egg of all time
Gary, your editor is fantastic.
Never thought I'd see the day I'd like GoT more than something supposedly based on Tolkien.
At least they made the Targaryen’s look like ACTUAL Elves from Middle Earth.
I believe there was a Godswood in King's Landing until the Dance
