Hey Chuck, two stories for you going to do two different comments for them. 1 - I got my first contract violation a week ago tonight. Bad wintery weather, ice and snowy roads, sub zero temps so my husband drove me around. Dropping off in a somewhat familiar area of town to us, and told him what street we needed to turn on, and then we get to a stop sign and app says turn right and your destination will be on the right. Found the house number, dropped it off. App said you're not in the right place - I see that all the time and always am in the right place so I ignored it and just made sure my photo showed the house number. Several minutes later as we are almost to a grocery store for a quick alcohol pickup order i get a message saying that's nowhere near the right house. I wrote back and said I'm sorry the app said such and such address. They never responded, so I did the alcohol order. Told the girl at the checkout about it and she said she used to do DD and would get those and it was irritating - people trying to get stuff for free. Which was my assumption. Get home later that night, have my first violation. I disputed it, said check the photo, but it was bothering me so my husband pulled up houses on google, and turns out if was my fault. We had turned one street prior and I guess neither of us double checked the street sign. Right house number, wrong street, I felt horrible about it.
So I used your little trick about talking, especially to ring doorbells, when dropping off the order. I did that yesterday and the customer added $2 to my already $8 tip. Sweet...thanks for the great tip. Now to remember to do 8t more often with my ADHD lol!!
I've been trying to get my friend to do this. He's capable of doing it, just doesn't think it will help. As a customer it does. I always up tip friendly service. ❤
@@abbylynn8872 I leave individually wrapped peppermint Lifesavers on a post it that says "Enjoy your meals!" and 1 out of every 3-4 people increases my tip by $2 or more since I started.
Those instructions get me. One time there were no drinks with the order but the instructions had get a straw please. I didn’t think much of it because I didn’t see it until I was on my way, and even said to myself it was probably left there from the last time. Nope! They even came out and asked for the straw. 😂
I had a contract violation as well one time, it was a system error. I called them right after it showed and they support said it didn’t show on her end. I called back a couple days later and also appealed it and in the notess stated i not sure why its showing up. I never herd anything back from them and a week later it disappeared. I do really wish there support was better. I feel like there support system is so bad for is drivers. Most of them don’t know answers to our even general questions.

I didn't realize you could go to a different dollar general, I was under the impression that the door dash card/ app, wouldn't let you do that, because your gps has to match ???

@@TravelingWithSpecialAbilities it’s a violation of your contract. Basically customer stated they never got their order to try to get a refund from DoorDash when they really did get their order and they ate it. Basically it’s them trying to get free food but what happens to the driver, they get a contract violation on their account, which eventually goes away after 100 deliveries sometimes drivers call support and sometimes they take it off or sometimes they leave it on, but if they leave the contract violation on your account and say you get another order to deliver and you get another one you are in the means of being deactivated and then you won’t be able to go out and make food deliveries and then you have to appeal through email and they might reactivate your account. I think it’s three contract violations on your account and they deactivate you automatically, it’s kind of sad

We get 20mpg which means we spend .15 cents per mile driving with gas prices at $3.00 per gallon. After that, it’s an easy thing to figure out. You know you’re good, but we all want more than we’re getting. We will absolutely take a $3.00/4.5 mile offer every now and then just to engrain it in our heads that sometimes we don’t get the best offers.
