This whole thing is setting a terrible precedent for the USA.I grew up in the 1960's. This was a time in the USA when politicians were articulate and ran on a 'platform' of ideas and plans of how to make our country better. At family gatherings, politics were often an interesting topic of discussion, and debates over the pro's and con's of candidates and their plans were peaceful and respectful of other's ideas and belief systems. People across the board universally trusted the election system. And when the elections were over, everyone from both sides would get behind the winning candidate regardless of party, and fully support them through their term.
There are forces in the world today that do not have humanity, peace and tranquility in mind. They want to control the world, not just a country, and without any vote from its citizens. They're intelligent, well funded and do not seek to destroy America by war; that would be stupid. Instead they seek to take America down by dividing us using ideological ploys, infiltrating our educational, political and corporate institutions and slowly eroding and destroying them. It's a long term plan that includes indoctrinating our children and taking away parental rights.
And I must say, it seems they are having great success. America has never been more divided and polarized. I would like to see a candidate (from any party), who can demonstrate they fully understand what's going on in our world and has a well thought out plan to get our country back on track. The future of our children and our country is at stake.

Very well written, you present a mature account of the political landscape of today. I do wonder about RICO being applied, but what is not being discussed is that this case could take longer than all the others, and might be to the advantage of the prosecution, particularly if convictions start coming down on a regular basis. Taken by itself, this case might not look as strong, or may seem like another grape in the bunch. But it is more like a prickly pear because of its potential ramifications. If the defense discounts this particular case, it does so at its own peril.
These are all politically driven cases that would never had been filed if Trump had quietly drifted into the Mar-a-Lago sunset, as the rigged election intended him to do. Oddly they took two and a half years to file which is evidence of the reprehensible motive. Returning the ballot system to one that instill confidence to both sides of the aisle is more critical to the recovery of the Republic, than who spends the next four years in the White House.

Are you saying that that RICO isn't being used properly, or that it isn't being used at all? Because RICO IS being applied to the Georgia case, and all of the defendants are going to be prosecuted at the same time, just as in a RICO case. By definition, the separate actions used to obtain the goal of overturning the election by separate parties all connected to a single entity fall under the wheelhouse of RICO. Regardless of what you or I think of the validity of Biden's presidency, the defense hasn't argued against RICO's validity to the case, which they would have by now, or should have, anyways. Particularly Giuliani's lawyers-he knows exactly how RICO works, as he used it to take down the mob in the 80s.
In strict definition, RICO does apply to the Georgia case, and if Jack Smith had wanted to, he could have applied it to Jan 6th.
