Loved that line about Titan's atmosphere being so dense that we could fly just by flapping our arms with some mock up "wings" strapped to them
Because of the lower gravity on Titan the atmospheric pressure at ground level is only about 1.4 times that on Earth. But the actual air density at ground level is about 4 times ours. So with very dense air and low gravity flying is easy. Air density affects flying even on Earth. In places where summer daytime temperatures are very high reduced air density can prevent fully laden aircraft from taking off.
@@rais1953 damn thats weird to think about
What is titan?
@@blainekingi9750 Titan is Saturn's largest moon, bigger than the planet Mercury and the only moon with a dense atmosphere and with rain, rivers, lakes and seas. Air pressure at ground level on Titan is about 1.4 times normal air pressure on Earth.
A true 'hold my beer' moment
It still hurts my head to think that the Great Red Spot is bigger than our whole planet.
Imagine being there.
@@alexomarcvs4907 Imagine the fuking sound of that bad boy. After we land on mars I believe the next "big thing" will be a manned trip to the gas giants. A surreal experience for anyone lucky enough to travel that voyage.
@@nuckerball1259 That won't happen for sure. There's literally no value in sending human near Jupiter on a trip. Jupiter and Saturn's moon Europa & Enceladus are more interesting but then again not suitable for us send someone there.
@Cobb Knobbler Not a safe bet that given a near infinite amount of time humanity still wont have access to the local gas giants.... Have a little faith lol
@@nuckerball1259 Would be better to go to one of the moons of jupiter, imagine that big boy raising up from the horizon. And it definitely won't be a "trip" would be a one way deal, or at least a big chunk of your life.
You have to admit, the jupiter polar storms do look terrifying.
I’d make those storms my bitch though. Just wait. 😈
@Konstanley Jerknov chill my dude. It's just humor.
Am i the only one subconciously attaching meaning to the amount of storms on each pole?
@@pedrojarvis750 Yeah, it's a very human thing to do. The key is to resist it, and either let the scientists do their work, or contribute and find out for yourself.
@@pedrojarvis750 what meaning are you trying to attach?
Imagine being on a flight to Disney world only to be EMP’d by the sun mid flight. The universe stays plotting against us
@@hugejackedman7423 yeah that’s what I’m saying! You wouldn’t even know what’s coming until it’s too late (can you even detect something like this before it happens?)
This is equally and simultaneously peaceful and terrifying.

Wow! This video was very interesting. The topic you chose was engrossing. Beautifully presented. I specifically loved the extensive use of pictures, clips and renditions.
You manage to incite awe and fascination with your video topics. Thank you! Thank you for this collaboration too!
Just a side note on Saturn's hexagon storm. As far as I know, the haxagonal shape of the storm was replicated in fluid using specific conditions, but with vortices forming at each bend. This is something we don't see on Saturn, and is still one of the greatest mysteries of the storm's shape. So although we've been able to come close to an explanation for the shape, we have yet to formulate a true model that fits actual observations.
I saw something that theorized the shape had something to do with the magnetic field of the planet. Might be the best theory yet.
I heard it was caused by bees.
haxagonal
It could be a natural phenom that can only be understood at sizes of that scale?.?.
Its also a cube. Which people worship here on earth
Amazing visuals. I could watch the solar storms on a loop.
Having the Sun at number 1 feels like cheating. That’s like if a bunch of kids were arm wrestling to see who’s strongest and then the dad joins the fight. Yeah of course he’s going to win.
The best is the best. Simple.
Dad? More like the biggest and the strongest man in the neighborhood
no theyre all dads its just that one of them is Francis Ngannou and the others are super flyweight
BUT he still factually and unquestionably... wins.
It's not his fault that the kids are so small.
I’m not a liberal, scientist, climatologist, astrophysicist, astronaut, etc etc. but a sun storm seems way different then storms on planets
Can't stop watching these videos
Thank you so much for introducing this new cool channel :)
Yeah I really enjoyed it too! Primal Space has a relaxing voice as well 👌😌
Edit: Apparently I was already subscribed to primal space hahahaha
That's not fair, the sun wins everything.
Until you start comparing other storms around other stars :P
does the sun get victory royals? i'm joking if your one of the people who think sarcasm is dumb
What about UY Scuti?
@@Dragrath1 Yep, like UY Scuti.
@@kyperkon2472 Fortnite referance?
Basically Van Gogh channeled Jupiter’s atmosphere into all his paintings..
Your videos are as cool as Boötes Void😅😃
His voice is so calm it makes me feel relaxed and the storms are terrifying
I just found your channel a few days ago and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised that YT recommendations are actually working as they should. Your content is very professional and interesting you've got a new subscriber.
Love these type of collab videos! Keep up the incredible work and keep inspiring people with the wonders of our cosmos.
Love your vids so much! I always get so excited when I see you’ve uploaded :)
Space is cool.
I’m so fucking excited for people to finally go to Mars, there is a good chance it could happen in my lifetime and that’s amazing
😂🤣🤣🤣
@@jonniecaraballo2131 🤨
True but you do realize this isn’t a movie so if you do desire to go then it will take a extraordinarily long time to get there so if one decides they wanna go then they will probably never will be able to return to earth
@@cjmichaelrodriguez7431 bruh its an 8 year round trip some people been on military tours longer than that
I'm actually pretty pissed off about it to be honest. We could have already been there by now were it not for several things I won't write a book elaborating. Don't get me wrong; I'm excited to, but it's bitter sweet. Like arriving to a movie 20 minutes late or something.
Always a pleasant surprise to find a new Astrum video 😍
I'm a big fan of both Astrum and Primal Space. This video is amazingly done.
Heck yeah! Awesome vid! Great guest narrator, already gave him a sub. Though I’ll admit I was looking forward to hearing you do it! Informative and fun as ever!
You can tell, he's written it from the trade mark "So there we have it".
Love your videos and glad I subbed. Your content is so interesting. I could watch you for hours.
Absolutely fantastic video again Astrum. Amazing soundtrack and excellent work on getting source material.
Glad a video was made about top 10 storms around the solar system. I learned something new about them !☺
Very cool!
Love it! A nice change from whats going on atm! Much love 💓👌
This primal space guy seems really cool. Wouldn't mind hanging out with him.
Worth a sub for sure
Ups, already am
Good video, even if I miss your voice and background music
You turn your sound on? Lol
@@frontier_settler This video is a collaboration with Primal Space who provided the audio. So this comment actually makes sense.
Agree, content is great but Alex's voice and tone is just perfect!
How coincidental that kurzgesakt also made a solar storm video today..
Interesting listening to Primal Space's voice with Astrum's narrating style. My brain was connecting the dots for several minutes.
Excellent guest-narrator! The way he spoke felt very organic and personal, as if speaking from the mind and memory, rather than a script.
Primal space's voice is so relaxing!
Love these video you and primal space keep it up!
I love this channel ,from India.
Saw this upload appear the literal moment i subscribed...
Why are you subscribing just now? 😁
@@whosjulez1157 you have no idea.
This was good, though I'd recommend more comparisons with earth phenomenon. I don't know the average wind speed on Earth, or the average storm speed. Are these storms significantly faster or larger than ones on earth? Often yes, but by how much?
Fascinating content, none the less!
Most of these storms are larger than Earth.
Neptune has the greatest wind speeds in the solar system.
Agreed big numbers but nothing to reference them too
Can't lie, I was looking forward to hear Astrum's voice )) Great storms nevertheless.
Primal Space has a clean, matter of fact type of voice. It's quite good for naration. However, Astrum's voice makes you experience the journey he takes you with. You can hear the joy, the curiosity, the awe... :)
Oh please lol, change isn’t bad from time to time 😉
Astrum is a channel, not a person.
@@volcomstoned876 OK, Alex's voice. Happy now?
I was hoping to not hear a voice at all
Well done by Primal Space! But don't worry, Alex- you're still my preferred space channel!
Lovely colab!
I would love to somehow see a storm from on the ground rather simply from in space. I feel it would be just as beautiful despite its danger
This was so interesting and engaging to watch. Thank you!
I was subscribed to both channel long time ago, it was a surprise to see this collab project, very nice.
Solar storms by no means are a cheeky addition to the list. They are absolutely massive and deserves their place on top of the list
This is a very well produced collaboration. You guys need to do that again soon.
I wait for your videos every night! I love watching and learning about our universe ❤️
I adore your videos!

PLEASE MORE CONTENT WITH PRIMAL SPACE!!!! that was great content!
I love Primal Space. Great collab!
I look forward to every Astrum presentation. This one is great! Thank you.

Primal Space did a great job narrating, awesome video
Such a cool video with interesting information. Watched it twice already 😁
Amazing content as always
Nice collaboration, I hope you could do some with other RUclipsrs

I love the voice switch off you guys did in the intro. I now subscribed to Primal Space. I also like his voice. Perfect team wish you guys would of alternate together.
anything related to outer space is absolutely terrifying but also very interesting. those hexagon storms are something else.
last week i learned immortal jellyfish exist and now this. makes me want to learn
This was an amazing video, very informative!
Its very interesting and informative thanks to Primal Space and Astrum
beautiful storms! and the narrator voice is nice and calm. great work.
Galileo could see the red spot?! WTF, that’s mental
maybe he did. but then he chose not to write about it. Or his red spot notes are lost to history. Or he did not see it.
But he sure did not see the spot in 1665. He died in 1642. And when a video fux that up by 23 years, I start wondering what else is correct in it.
Awesome video. Thanks guys!
I didn't see this one coming...
Great clip mate
I would love to see a video on how satellites and telescopes capture images of the sun. I'd imagine they have to be built in the complete reverse of usual telescopes. Thanks again for another brilliant video!
With my highly limited knowledge, i once read that you can buy a dimming lens to actually stare at the sun through a telescope. Don't take my word for it but I'm more than positive that is how they take the photos.
What stunning images 😍 a super interesting video!!
That was incredible, thank you!
Outstanding entertainment!👏👏👏
Talking about storms on earth and I immediately see one heading straight for the Philippines lol. You know that country is constantly hit by a barrage of typhoons every year
This was very good, thank you :)
It's a shame a storm every now and then ruins the perfect look of one of the most beautiful plants I have seen, Saturn. The rings of Saturn make it very unique as it is, but then planet itself is so smooth, and a neutral colour, which just makes the planet so amazing to me. I hope some day we travel to Saturn and see the gas giant for ourselves, not in pictures or videos, but with our eyes. I know that won't happen in my life time, but if there was a chance to travel to Saturn, and it was one way, and will take half a lifetime to get there, I would take that in a heart beat!
Good video. And it was nice of you to showcase another channel about space 😊
Spread the word-Sci
Colaberations love em finding quality channels that RUclips doesn't show you.
Primal space has such a soothing voice. Ran over and subbed right away
I was sad when Astrum said he wouldn’t be narrating as I love the way he narrates. But primal space did an awesome job, will be subbing for sure :)
Really amazing video!
This is something to fall asleep to and not saying it's boring either. It's calming and relaxing 😌

Wonderful video!!!
Primal Space, you’re a good narrator! I’ll check out dat channel yoooooo
Watching videos about how much insane stuff exists in the solar system makes me think sci-fi creators don't always push the envelope enough on what could be on other planets. Imagine what culture would be like on a planet that had a permanent storm on it.
Fantastic video
Thank very much for sharing this knowlege wth us!!🤓
Maybe I misunderstood, but how can both polar storms on Venus be the size of the earth, if Venus itself is roughly the same size of Earth?
Size of Europe

The “Great Red Spot” is my favourite.
Clearly we are at the mercy of the sun. What ever it decides to do, all we can do is bend to it's will.
