Greetings, my wife and i just got a 2022 Taos SE as a 2nd vehicle. Gotta love that black pearl. We also got the iQ safety package, panoramic sunroof and a couple other options. So far this is our 3rd VW and absolutely love them. Great Video
Just got the exact same Taos. Black with black wheels and the same interior and pano sunroof. I love mine so much!!!

Update! I tried the launch control of the 7 speed DCT on the Taos it works like charm, can't belive they advertise this vehicles as a 8.4 second 0-60 when in reality it can do 6.9 secons using regulat 87 gas when using launch c

I really want this car but it has already had 2 recalls. What has been your experience dealing with those?
I took it in for the current recall and they did a couple of tests and mine was all good. No issues and still loving my car
Does it have the ambient/interior lighting you can switch the colors of? It's not advertised on their site for majority of their cars but its always in video ads.

According to our VW dealer, tinting the moonroof traps heat in and has the possibility of cracking the glass when the heat rises.

Nice review! Your anti kidnapping hatch explanation was a new one for me, really funny, i don't mean this disrespectfully it's just such an interesting explanation, as a car guy it's interesting what normal ppl come up with to explain certain features. Those pass troughs in the back seat are called "Ski Hatch" it's there so you can load long objects like Ski and still seat 4 people in the car, useful if you were to go skiing with 3 friends ;)
Our sales guy is actually the one who said it could be used as a safety feature for potentially getting stuck in the back haha. Your explanation makes much more sense 😆

Any turbo lag issues
So sorry I am just now seeing this comment! I personally wouldn't call it an "issue" but it does take some getting use to. I personally really like it
Girl get a Spigen clear case, you won’t have to remove the phone from the case! The case DOES protect your phone. I dropped my phone off a ride at Disney and it survived in the clear case!!!

Volkswagen was founded in Berlin Germany. I just had that stuck in my mind, I know now they aren’t made there.
Great review - prefer owner reviews since they voted w/ their wallets. Had to laugh - my daughter also got out of a 2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk into a 2022 VW Taos SE 4-Motion. Power delivery & smoothness is so much better in the VW. And in today’s world, an honest 8-9 more miles per gallon. Hers is white w/ the black interior. Again, great review from an owners perspective!

I keep going back and forth between the Tiguan and the Taos!! Now I’m leaning more towards the Taos.
We didn’t drive a Tiguan but I love the look of them too! The Taos is basically that but a better price point
I have a Jetta and I’m 100% thinking about trading for the Taos. The newer Tiguan give mom vibes.

It is made in Mexico, only 16% in Germany but it is well put together, I also bought one and it drives nice, the acceleration when Taking off needs getting use to but nothing that disappointed me.

Haha yes, I have learned a lot since posting this video lol. So glad you enjoy it, its honestly my favorite care I've had. My husband even suggested an upgrade and I told him it would have to be something epic because I don't want to trade in my Taos haha

@@RichardVac So we did go to Tahoe, Ca over winter and it was snowing and the roads were icy and we had no issues. We didn't even have to put our snow chains on. BUT we did not go through thick or deep snow and I am not at all an expert lol

Do you still love the car? I think I am going to trade my Rav 4 in for a white TAOS. I love the Taos!!! My Rav 4 technology is stuck in the early 2000s. Toyota needs to upgrade the radios and sound systems. I have the highest model available and it’s still not as nice as the Taos and I paid MORE for my car than a brand new Taos!
I traded my white 2019 Rav 4 for the 2022 VW Taos. I love it! Glad I made the switch!
Definitely don’t switch, if you want your vehicle to last a long time.

S or Se?
This is the SE FWD model with an optional sunroof and IQ safety package added from the looks of it. I have the SE trim FWD and wanted to keep the price from hitting $30K with the sunroof and extra safety stuff. The SE trim does have blind spot monitoring and rear collision alert which is enough. If you go S trim, though, add the IQ safety package.
@@philweiland5391 im going with the S with the IQ package. My VW salesman told me that the IQ package includes blindspot sensors though

The Taos isn't made in Germany, it's made in Mexico; it isn't sold in Germany or many other European markets, either. South and Central America, Russia, and much of Asia where it has a different name and is slightly different - as well as North America, obviously.

Even tho it’s built in Mexico, I read that it’s built under strict guidelines from VW, so consumers get VW engineering at its best…I love my Taos💯👍
VW has manufactured factory all over the world. Just because it’s made in Mexico that’s doesn’t mean is still not German engineering

I get kidnapped all the time, so, that escape hatch is so handy! Love it! I also got a TAOS but mine came with the owner's manual that explains all the features and functions...I paid extra for that...$0...maybe fake blondes really are that dumb....
