I will update the FAQ as needed. :) (Hit "Read more" for the FAQ). FAQ and Corrections: Q: I'm a late game player. Can I clutch even with 100% exploration? A: It’s tough, but YES, because new Areas and Events appear with every update. You definitely need to make sure you have some spare primogems, but new updates will usually bring a huge boost to your primogem count as a result of fresh content and mail, which can help you clutch a character if you couldn't save enough primogems originally. Q: This guide doesn't seem very helpful. I tried all of this already. What else can I do? A: As I mentioned at the end of the video, please keep logging on and consume content as it comes. Stockpile primogems from Spiral Abyss, Events, Daily Activities, new quests, etc. and save them for upcoming banners/rerun banners. Note that this means you need to plan ahead and predict character banners or look at leaks. If you already did everything in this video, including 100% exploration, then you probably have a few 5-stars already. If you want even MORE than your current collection, I would suggest using an alt account for a split archive, joining Welkin giveaways online, or actually spending money on your account. A solo F2P account is NOT enough to sustain you for every banner past AR 55, especially if you lose 50/50s. You cannot spontaneously gather primogems once you use up all content in the game. Q: Is the thumbnail clickbait? A: Hardly. I’m friends with people who have clutched banners before. One of them got 70+ wishes in 3 days, and you can get 1600+ primos within the span of a few hours, so a week is definitely possible with spare exploration. Again though, please be careful about going too fast and exhausting yourself. Q: You talked about Regional Priority, but what about Enkanomiya? A: Enkanomiya is an Area that I consider part of Inazuma. I'd say for Inazuma the order would probably be something like: Narukami > Yashiori > Seirai > Kannazuka > Watatsumi > Enkanomiya >>> Tsurumi Although please make sure you activate the Tatara Tales questline early and continue the quest every day so you can explore Kannazuka ASAP. IMPORTANT: World Level does NOT affect chest loot at all apparently. Only boss drops. So if you don't mind doing it, I do actually recommend lowering your world level to explore faster. ALSO IMPORTANT: Remember that you can also get starglitter while pulling from the Event banner, so you're able to refund those into more wishes as well. :)

So idk,I meant to ask..Is this a good routine for any ar or for 40-50 ? Since the exploration from ar 50+ is high and its harder to find chests and all of those..Thats my only question!
Something that also needs to be said is. Don`t wish at every Banner, If you really want a character you need to keep in mind that building pity and stuff like that isnt a good idea.
@@harryvpn1462 Yeah, if you have low pity then going for a 4 star you want would be a good idea but if you really hate the five star then idk, everybody needs to choose for themselves.
Cries in all shrines already unlocked, exploration domains done, events complete, every quest complete, very rare to come across a chest (90-100% exploration everywhere), Sakura tree maxed, all statues maxed, used stardust, frost tree maxed, tea pot maxed(tho I can do sets:D), hangouts complete BUT thanks, you are very good at explaining and helping out
@@Sergmanny46 although there are story quests that you can do that unlock every patch. Me as a new player who has only done amber, kaeya, Lisa, diluc, xianling, Klee, yoimiya and ayaka’s story quests that’s a lot of primogems for me and still, sometimes one or two story quests unlock every patch.
Meh, even 100% doesn't mean you found everything, you just found "more". As someone who cries in 26 missing overworld chests and 620/639 achievements and everything and everyone maxed and all sets put in, i can say for sure you still can get 10+ rolls from clutching depending on your numbers

About exploration percentages: A region with 100% Exploration Completion does not mean you got all of the chest in that region. There are a number of excess chests in every region. This might include hidden chests, hidden mechanisms, world quests, respawnable chests (i.e. placing naku weed on doctor's bucket in inazuma) and so on and so forth. The chests might range from the lowest tier chest up to the highly sought after big Luxurious or Precious chests. I already have all of regions at 100% and from time to time I stumble upon a chest just waiting to be discovered.

Just a tip for those who might find getting 100% exploration a bit daunting, I find it a lot easier to explore on inazuma just coz the islands are plot up, you can just find an interactive map for the island and get everything. Knowing you’ve done the whole island is pretty rewarding and a bit easier
I can't even get to inazuma. It's gated behind several quests, and those quests are gated beind other quests, which are gated behind other quests. I got hundreds of "NPC character in other quest" and "Please complete other quest first".
I used all of your tips after losing on Ayato's banner and it helped me a lot to get like 60+ wishes. Eventually I would have gotten more but I was so tired of grinding that I felt a bit discouraged and took a break from the game lol My personal advice would be: start as early as possible and don't speedrun if you know it's not your thing. At the end of the day all of these characters will be back sooner or later!!
@@helenlelidis1 800 primogems means 5 fates, you can get 5 intertwined and acquaint fate each for every month from the shop Edit: but it costs 750 masterless stardust for 10 of them, if I'm not mistaken
Is it me or did we all forget about the adventure book which guarantees you a 100 or more primogems with artifacts once you complete an amount of quests. Plus if you go to the enemies section of the adventure book you can automatically get that enemies location and easily farm for your characters
There was an extreme clutch I used to do back before. If you guys didn't know, ascending characters at a certain level gives you an aquaint fate. An aquaint fate is given at lvl 20, 50 and 70 ascensions. As he said regarding stardust conversion, one could use those aquaint fates on the standard banner, get starglitter/dust and use those to get intertwined fates. You can probably see where this is going: Ascend your characters to lvl 70, get the aquaint fates, pull on the standard banner, get stardust/glitter, convert to intertwined fates, and boom, you now have extra pulls. Do know that this process is extremely slow, taking days to ascend even a single character. The bad news is that the resin you have would be used for the characters' ascension, so you won't be able to spend it on something like an artifact domain. On the good side, all the pulls on the standard banner will bring you closer to pity, pretty much giving you a free 5 star if you've grinded enough. This method also is most effective if you've got a lot of characters, since it works the same way with 4 stars and 5 stars. It took me roughly 6-7 days per character to ascend to lvl 70, counting farming for mora, xp and ascension materials. I finished maxing out everyone I got to lvl 70 after 3 or 4 months, but in my opinion, it was worth it. I got my 5 star weapons from doing this (WGS, Skyward Blade and Harp), and in converting the stardust/glitter I was able to clutch Hu Tao on her rerun. If any of you guys are grinding to clutch out a character, I wish you all the best.
I would recommend only going to 20 and ascending if you don’t plan on using the character in the future. But if you do leveling them up to 50/70 should be fine
I think that's a not a good idea... Wasting resources for a few wishes when you could've used them to improve the characters you actually use. You'll get those eventually when you feel like trying other characters up. But to actively farm those materials and (wasting) resources for characters that I wouldn't possibly use at the moment sounds really taxing ngl. But maybe that's just me. Those starglitter ain't gonna run awa, they'll still there when you finally lvl those characters you haven't used before. For a newbie especially I think this is a very bad idea. It's fine for high AR players who already has like 8-10 characters built decently but for newbies I think it's a no no.
@@Sergmanny46 yeah lol, that'd be a huge waste of wit and other resources. I only level up a very few characters that I main and even i find myself out of wit by the time they're fully built. Doin allll that for a few fate and star dust doesn't make the slightest sense. Especially when you can only get 5 intertwined fates per one cycle of the shop. That's just 375 star dust which you'll make easily by the next cycle.
your last guide seriously helped me so so much, i was able to get all my faves and i even got xiao on his banner unexpectedly because i actually had some leftover wishes !! with venti, kazuha, and maybe even new characters releasing even though i saved up a fair amount i feel as though i wont have enough TwT thank you !
Although it's not applicable to me (late game player + able to spend), it's definitely one of the best guides of its kind i've come across. It's thorough, well-organized and you deliver your script in a clear and engaging manner.

I pulled for Raiden today after saving up for months and after using all my primogems and masterless stardust I thought i'll just use my stardust glitter too and then i got a 5 star, but i lost the 50 50 and got Mona. i feel dead from inside now.
well, same. I have to get better artifacts for lot of my charachters like my hu tao has a 4 set even tho the crit ratio is 50/100 but she has very little pyro dmg bonus soo anyways ik nobody cares but I'm building fischl with amos lol bc I just got her :3
True. I'm not performing well enough and get blocked at floor eleven for not having enough stars. I could probably clear the whole abyss should there be no timer. And this is mostly dut to my playstyle and how much I invested in my characters. I want my characters to not reach LVL 90 "too fast" to begin with. None of mine are LVL 90 yet I heard it would make a noticeable difference.
@@yourmomprobably9104 ello just a few tips, for ur hu Tao it’s way better to go for off pieces with better substats than a set bonus with trash ones, also make sure u have the correct main stats as well. For hu Tao it would be hp, pyro, crit rate/crit dmg but prolly crit rate. For fishcl, Amos bow is kind of garbage on everyone but ganyu, the passive only works for charged shot gameplay. If you’re using fishcl for support I would recommend stringless instead if you have it, if she’s gonna be your main stick to Amos
@@EminoMeneko only characters like kazuha get a big boost to being lvl 90, other characters can be at 80 but ascended and do just fine, it’s actually not recommended to lvl to lvl them to 90 cause it costs so much resources it’s insane, 70 is fine for supports even. I only have 1 lvl 90 character, and it was mainly because I love the character, not for dmg, the rest of mine are at 70-80. Make sure you lvl those talents and weapons and I’m sure you can make it past floor 11 if you just have random lvl 20 artifacts with the correct main stat
I loose all my 50/50s and the only one i actually did not loose was Zhongli's rerun banner a few weeks ago. I actually pulled 10x by accident and got him first try (I only had 10 wishes)

The exact same thing happened to me. I managed to get ganyu guaranteed and was like “lol it’d be great if she had Zhongli to shield her”- I did a 10 pull and got him.
If you don't have enough time to do these things whenever you lose the 50/50, I recommend doing everything in the video preemptively. The reason why is because you WILL eventually lose the 50/50, so if you start doing this now but at a slower pace, you most likely won't have to grind as much in the future to clutch a banner.
I'm gonna try this tomorrow, i'm currently going for Kazuha's rerun banner and needing a lot of primogems for him. I'm gonna edit this in about a week to see my progress in 7 days. (Also new sub)

Update since I came back here!! I lost the 50/50 for Ayato but had enough from saving so I was able to get him. Then also lost the 50/50 for Kazuha but managed to get him because I had enough saved and also got him C1! So success :D
Your tips from your other video helped me get xiao, lose the 50/50 then get zhongli. Now I'm back for kazuha and raiden. 8 months later and Sumeru has been unlocked, this guide still holds true. I didn't know about the companion sets and thank you for helping me streamline getting my exploration percentage in each area up. One difficulty I have been having with the Serentea Pot is getting the blueprints for certain furnishings needed for some of the sets. For one set I need a wooden picket fence of some type, but I have no idea where to get it from. It isn't in the realm depot, and I don't know where else to get blueprints from, other than the foggy island in Inazuma (God, I hate that place).
For teapot blueprint, you can buy them at the teapot spirit or doing some teapot quest. There is a teapot advenfure guide with some quest with 6 lvl I think, that give you blueprint as reward. (I hope you understand what I mean)

By adventure guide, do you mean the book that lists the things you can do for unlocks like leveling characters of certain elements up, ascending weapons, and enhancing artifacts as well as listing all domains? Or do you mean the rewards for increasing the trust level in the teapot? EDIT: Thanks for the info!
@@TheBattleRabbit860 Yes, that the adventure guide When you are inside the Teapot ; in the right up corner, you have a small Teapot icon ; that is the "Teapot adventure guide", that give you missions, and things and blueprint as rewards
@@irina-ty1336 That's what I thought you meant; I'm working my way through that. I'm also hunting down all the chests with blueprints that I can while trying to also pay attention to the Sumeru archon quests and ascending my Nahida.
F2p here. I honestly really think the game is viable and will continue to be viable for f2p people. While explorarion, world quests and stuff like that are only one time, there are other things that will keep coming, such as the web events, in-game events, maintenance rewards, the daily log-in, the occasional code, etc. You just need to be smart, and while it is true that 5* aren't guaranteed, they're not guaranteed for literally anyone, even p2p people, as we've seen content creators spend literally thousands to get a single character. Also, people make it seem as though you NEED a 5* when plenty of people have proven that it's not necessary. There's also plenty of showcase videos so you can easily choose which 5* is worth your primos. If you're smart and take advantage of the primos and wishes given to you and don't pull on every banner, you'll be fine!
tbh the game always has been pretty "viable" for f2p, it's just the amount of dedication you need to pour in, which honestly, is quite demanding for most people. so i do understand the frustration when people need to decide between staying f2p or spending.
Aren't you talking about the weapon banner prior to fate points? Because a character is guaranteed within 180 wishes provided you made no wish or just got a guaranteed 5⭐. Which means that you can get a character for like 400€. This is at least the number that some streamers provide. But I heard of whales wishing on weapon banner and spending thousands of dollars for nothing. This guarantee is what makes me (a F2P player) play the game. With no guarantee whatsoever I wouldn't consider the game at all.
I am new to this game. so which first 5 star character should i pull for, who have very high DPS even on C0, which should i get zhongli, itto(i personally like him), ayaka?
I respect your comment...but i can not agree with that. As f2p player its just a pure frustration. You get so less primogems, wishs etc. You have to farm for MONTHS to get around 90-180 wishs and thats crazy. Plus, many people just have 2-3 hours a day to play this game..so you cant farm that much. Sure you don't need 5 stars..but lets be honest collecting those special characters is one of the few things why many people play this game. But the funniest thing is, to push your character to the way you want, you sometimes need this limited time available character a few times. Even if pulling this character one time is incredible hard. I'm honest with you guys, i like this type of game...but the pay barrier is so laughable high, i think i will quit this game soon...farming months to not even get the wished character fo sure is crazy

fun fact: collect enough special collectibles such as crimson agate, lumenspar, or the little orange thingies in the new northern desert i forgor the name of, and eventually you will be given a way to locate the remaining ones! i really reccomend this, its way easier than finding remaining oculi since you don't need to craft anything or wait for a cooldown to be given the location of the next collectable. these can give wishes, primogems, and shrine of depth keys, so its worth it! the little namecards for getting all of them are fun too, if you're into that c: not to mention, its a good way to find obscure areas you havent found yet to look for more chests
On Venti's rerun I lost the 50/50 to Diluc but got all the way back up to pity in less than a week by getting nearly 100% exploration on the chasm and doing all the new quests. Anything for Venti.
Another thing with hangout events is that it usually gives you 2 achievements which give 5 primos each, and if you get every ending you get an achievement for another 20 primos.

Thanks for this guide. I just lost my 50/50 to diluc on ayatos banner. I have alot left to explore and quests despite being ar 50. Im off school for the next 2 weeks so i have plently of time to farm for ayato.
Actually, put Tsurumi island higher on your priority list. These remarkable chests contain blueprints for your serinitea pot, which are necessary for some of the sets where you can get “gifts” from your companions-each gift will include 20 primogems. 20 primogems per character (that favors the design) per design does add up to be quite a lot when you consider how many different characters and designs there are.
This was one year ago, yet I’m still using this video. I just lost my 50/50 to Jean on Ayaka’s banner and got up to 40 pity again. I’m not giving up, Ayaka will come home.
OML THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU'RE A LIFESAVER- me and my bsf have literally 0 impulse control so the moment the new banners dropped she and i pulled on them just for fun. She got nothing but I got raiden- but she did get yae last banner so basically both of us have 0 pity w 0 primogems to get ayaka and ayato. This'll help us get a bunch of wishes for them....hopefully we win the 50/50

Also about Dragonspine all the primos you earn from chest and maybe challenges idk are doubled. Dragonspine is is how I got Childe and Zhongli during their first rerun.
hello, i had lost the 50/50 and got keqing (wrong anime waifu with cute ears) and i was out of hope but i saved up in 7 days and got to 80 pity but i hit hard pity but i managed to get 90 wishes in 1 and a half week. I just did events and exploring in the enkanomiya event map because i already did the whole map cuz i was at 56 ar
You can make it pretty far in abyss using two healers and the Clams artifact set. Noelle and Barbara, especially with C1 Noelle, can carry you to at least Floor 11-3 if you're lv80 with +20 5* artifacts. Clams is also easier to build, as the substats can be pretty much ignored. Noelle needs DEF%DEF%HEALING%, Barbara HP%HP%HEALING%. The healing% can be the odd one out, since HP and DEF goblets are easier to get than healing%. Both Noelle and Barbara can cap out the healing bonus, so they'll do ~25,000 to 27,000 damage every 2.5 seconds. Run Noelle with Geo Traveller and 2 other misc. characters, maybe to destroy elemental shields for enemies on X floor you're on. Run Barbara with anybody honestly, but preferably a second hydro and two others that can destroy shields. You can run cryo and electro in order to super-conduct for the -40% physical resistance on enemies. The Clams bubble pop is physical, so you can do a bonus 40% on the 25-27k pops to do 35k+ damage per pop. Double hydro is preferable on Barbara because it increases healing with the resonance. If you have Qiqi, you can actually run her instead of Noelle or Barbara, because she's currently the only healer that can take full advantage of clams. Her talisman, which is applied on burst or every 30 seconds when hitting an enemy, will max out the pop easily. That means you can have the bubble pop while off field as another character. Additionally, her on-field healing with her skill is strong enough to max out the pop as well. I've personally 9*'d up to 11-3 with Qiqi and three lv20's on one half of my team. As for floor 12, you're out of luck there. You could *maybe* get a 3* clear with clams, but you need a more traditional team to do it. Even with all my galivanting around with building Physical Amber, Clams Qiqi, and EM Lisa, I still have to use my OP characters to 9* floor 12.
@@karma6326 honestly depending on your ganyu's investment. You can use morgana (just switch venti if u don't have him with kazoo/sucrose). You can use bennett xiangling bennett xingqiu / xiangling bennett kaeya rosaria as your second team. I don't know what other 5* you have so assuming that ganyu is your only 5*, that's the best i can say

It was obvious even before clicking on the video it is meant for beginners who did not do anything yet. I watched it to the end and it is fairly complete to be helpful to beginners. I'll add my 50 cents further. For people like me though, there is mostly only the dailies, abyss and (web) events, Check-in, updates mails and new version live or other reward codes. So there's no way we could get 90 intertwined in one week. EXPLORATION I'm AR58 and I "100%" of every area but Enkanomiya. I put the percentage in quotes because it is not a real "100%". It is adding up some of the actions you do until the formula reaches a "100%" cap, but you'll still be able to find chests after. Exploration is one of my favourite things in games, and Genshin is one great game for that. As you mention the team shall be tailored for the area but I'm more on trying to have a most stable team as possible. Some characters have bonuses related to exploration such as climbing, running speed increased. (Xiao, Razor, Rosaria, you name it...) You need a claymore to quickly collect ore. You need a bow for distant mechanics. You need Pyro for many mechanics This gives you Amber as a super handy character for exploration. She had gliding bonus, and is a Pyro bow user. She's not in my main team but it is worth to be mentioned. Being the outrider of Favonius order is just a huge hint. As of Inazuma, it became paramount to use the official interactive map to make sure you cleaned everything. The chest finding item is not that handy. This is because it finds chests in a subdivision of the area instead of a radius around you. You could have a chest next door but the item will tell there's nothing. Either the map shall display those subdivisions, either the item shall use a radius around you. There are several methods to clear the map. Yours is excellent. This is what I did so far for Enkanomiya. But prior to that I was free in Mondstadt. I picked things as I go and it was fun. I kept this way of doing in Liyue. Electro sigils were a pain to get the sakura to level 50. It is a chore to switch constantly between the game and interactive map to update it manually. But it is also horrid to know you'll need to audit the map anyway when you'll reach a certain degree of completion of the map and everything will be rarer. You'll have to check every spot and mark them anyway. That's why I did change my ways for Enkanomiya. Island by island you clear it 100%. It is easier to remember and be sure so that we can focus on the further steps. That goes against my profound will to explore the full map early but you can do a bit of both strategies and unlock TP spots for instance but leave everything else. STARDUST CONVERSION For F2P I'd advise not to buy fates with starglitter. Better buy the characters before or weapons if you are interested. Once you have all the characters it proposes to C6 (and/or weapons of interest R5) you can go ahead. The characters in the shop are cyclic and the 12 of them reappear every 6 months. Unless the character list changes of course. There are rumors it might happen later this year. Weapons cycle also on regular basis between 2 sets. TEAPOT True, you can get primos from characters being in the right set but it is boring. I wish I could just pin one list of items I need to build one because I constantly forget and you know switching between dialog boxes is not something I love much. Thank you for that video. you can use another gesnhin map. a unofficial one, use map genie, they provide complete map with guide and picture (you can donwload it for andorid aswell). playin since 2.3 got 421 achievment ar55, also got qiqi,xiao,zhongli,ei, (mona n skyward catalyst in standar) i almst max inazuma, but still no drgaonspine, mond, liyue
im f2p and farming for ayato but i only have 28 days left. i have 8.5k primos saved up and 21 pity but ik its not enough bc what if I lose the 50/50? this vid is gonna be extremely helpful for me thank you edit: OK THIS IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS AN INTERACTIVE MAP. i cleared inazuma 100% (enkanomiya included), did all the hangout quests, story quests, maxed out all events and ended up getting 2 jade cutters, yae's weapon (a lot of luck here) and won the 50/50 for yae, woo! *time to farm for kazuha*

Great guide, Derpfish! *Tip for new players:* as soon as you've done a bit of the prologue in Mondstadt, you can then walk to most places in the world. In a chill evening, you can walk from Mondstadt to (currently) Fontaine to be able to get a free character/weapon, crown, primogems, and leveling materials from a flagship event. Definitely worth doing! Crowns are another reason to make sure you do events! Crowns are required to level talents from 9 to 10. There are only 16 crowns permanently available. The rest come from limited-time events. Once that event is over, that crown is no longer available. At the time of writing this, there have been 43 crowns up for grabs since launch, and 27 of those are no longer available. Everything else is replacable, those crowns are not. The characters/weapons will come around again in a banner. The materials can be farmed. Worse case, you can swipe for primos. However, there is no way to get those crowns once they're gone. You can't do anything about the ones that have passed, but make sure you don't miss them going forward! Don't worry about the areas outside of Mondstadt being too hard. In many games, the world gets more difficult as you explore further from the starting area. Not so in Genshin. The enemy's level is loosely tied to adventurer rank.
Btw (I know this won't help in getting primos) if you open a chest or kill a lot of enemies and they drop a lot, click/tap your character and it will automatically collect all your stuff :)
I’ve watched this video when it came out but I didn’t do anything about it. But I had just got to 80% on dragons spin and I didn’t get a lot of primo gems but when I went to inzuma I got 1600 and 2 intertwine fait in 1 day

FAQ and Corrections:
Q: I'm a late game player. Can I clutch even with 100% exploration?
A: It’s tough, but YES, because new Areas and Events appear with every update. You definitely need to make sure you have some spare primogems, but new updates will usually bring a huge boost to your primogem count as a result of fresh content and mail, which can help you clutch a character if you couldn't save enough primogems originally.
Q: This guide doesn't seem very helpful. I tried all of this already. What else can I do?
A: As I mentioned at the end of the video, please keep logging on and consume content as it comes. Stockpile primogems from Spiral Abyss, Events, Daily Activities, new quests, etc. and save them for upcoming banners/rerun banners. Note that this means you need to plan ahead and predict character banners or look at leaks.
If you already did everything in this video, including 100% exploration, then you probably have a few 5-stars already. If you want even MORE than your current collection, I would suggest using an alt account for a split archive, joining Welkin giveaways online, or actually spending money on your account. A solo F2P account is NOT enough to sustain you for every banner past AR 55, especially if you lose 50/50s. You cannot spontaneously gather primogems once you use up all content in the game.
Q: Is the thumbnail clickbait?
A: Hardly. I’m friends with people who have clutched banners before. One of them got 70+ wishes in 3 days, and you can get 1600+ primos within the span of a few hours, so a week is definitely possible with spare exploration. Again though, please be careful about going too fast and exhausting yourself.
Q: You talked about Regional Priority, but what about Enkanomiya?
A: Enkanomiya is an Area that I consider part of Inazuma. I'd say for Inazuma the order would probably be something like: Narukami > Yashiori > Seirai > Kannazuka > Watatsumi > Enkanomiya >>> Tsurumi
Although please make sure you activate the Tatara Tales questline early and continue the quest every day so you can explore Kannazuka ASAP.
IMPORTANT: World Level does NOT affect chest loot at all apparently. Only boss drops. So if you don't mind doing it, I do actually recommend lowering your world level to explore faster.
ALSO IMPORTANT: Remember that you can also get starglitter while pulling from the Event banner, so you're able to refund those into more wishes as well. :)

Don`t wish at every Banner, If you really want a character you need to keep in mind that building pity and stuff like that isnt a good idea.

Building pity helped me get hutao and her signature weapon both at pity XD I'm never lucky on this

Meh, even 100% doesn't mean you found everything, you just found "more". As someone who cries in 26 missing overworld chests and 620/639 achievements and everything and everyone maxed and all sets put in, i can say for sure you still can get 10+ rolls from clutching depending on your numbers

About exploration percentages: A region with 100% Exploration Completion does not mean you got all of the chest in that region. There are a number of excess chests in every region. This might include hidden chests, hidden mechanisms, world quests, respawnable chests (i.e. placing naku weed on doctor's bucket in inazuma) and so on and so forth. The chests might range from the lowest tier chest up to the highly sought after big Luxurious or Precious chests.
I already have all of regions at 100% and from time to time I stumble upon a chest just waiting to be discovered.
Those chests must be very lonely

Just a tip for those who might find getting 100% exploration a bit daunting, I find it a lot easier to explore on inazuma just coz the islands are plot up, you can just find an interactive map for the island and get everything. Knowing you’ve done the whole island is pretty rewarding and a bit easier
I can't even get to inazuma. It's gated behind several quests, and those quests are gated beind other quests, which are gated behind other quests. I got hundreds of "NPC character in other quest" and "Please complete other quest first".
I used all of your tips after losing on Ayato's banner and it helped me a lot to get like 60+ wishes. Eventually I would have gotten more but I was so tired of grinding that I felt a bit discouraged and took a break from the game lol My personal advice would be: start as early as possible and don't speedrun if you know it's not your thing. At the end of the day all of these characters will be back sooner or later!!
How long did it take?
Probably the whole week. For many hours a day. Even as a new player, clutching a 90 pull isn’t feasible unless you want to sacrifice your sleep.
I think for endgame F2P:
~600(events)
+ 1200 (20d commissions)
+450-600(spiral abyss)
+800(shop)
= ~3200 primos (~20 fates)

Is it me or did we all forget about the adventure book which guarantees you a 100 or more primogems with artifacts once you complete an amount of quests. Plus if you go to the enemies section of the adventure book you can automatically get that enemies location and easily farm for your characters

There was an extreme clutch I used to do back before. If you guys didn't know, ascending characters at a certain level gives you an aquaint fate. An aquaint fate is given at lvl 20, 50 and 70 ascensions. As he said regarding stardust conversion, one could use those aquaint fates on the standard banner, get starglitter/dust and use those to get intertwined fates. You can probably see where this is going: Ascend your characters to lvl 70, get the aquaint fates, pull on the standard banner, get stardust/glitter, convert to intertwined fates, and boom, you now have extra pulls. Do know that this process is extremely slow, taking days to ascend even a single character. The bad news is that the resin you have would be used for the characters' ascension, so you won't be able to spend it on something like an artifact domain. On the good side, all the pulls on the standard banner will bring you closer to pity, pretty much giving you a free 5 star if you've grinded enough.
This method also is most effective if you've got a lot of characters, since it works the same way with 4 stars and 5 stars. It took me roughly 6-7 days per character to ascend to lvl 70, counting farming for mora, xp and ascension materials. I finished maxing out everyone I got to lvl 70 after 3 or 4 months, but in my opinion, it was worth it. I got my 5 star weapons from doing this (WGS, Skyward Blade and Harp), and in converting the stardust/glitter I was able to clutch Hu Tao on her rerun.
If any of you guys are grinding to clutch out a character, I wish you all the best.
I would recommend only going to 20 and ascending if you don’t plan on using the character in the future. But if you do leveling them up to 50/70 should be fine
You'd still only get 5 fates through Stardust for every 20 days of the shop or whatver the cycle period is
I think that's a not a good idea... Wasting resources for a few wishes when you could've used them to improve the characters you actually use. You'll get those eventually when you feel like trying other characters up. But to actively farm those materials and (wasting) resources for characters that I wouldn't possibly use at the moment sounds really taxing ngl. But maybe that's just me. Those starglitter ain't gonna run awa, they'll still there when you finally lvl those characters you haven't used before. For a newbie especially I think this is a very bad idea. It's fine for high AR players who already has like 8-10 characters built decently but for newbies I think it's a no no.
Huge waste of resources. Unused characters will stay at lvl 1, or 20/40 tops.
@@Sergmanny46 yeah lol, that'd be a huge waste of wit and other resources. I only level up a very few characters that I main and even i find myself out of wit by the time they're fully built. Doin allll that for a few fate and star dust doesn't make the slightest sense. Especially when you can only get 5 intertwined fates per one cycle of the shop. That's just 375 star dust which you'll make easily by the next cycle.

I pulled for Raiden today after saving up for months and after using all my primogems and masterless stardust I thought i'll just use my stardust glitter too and then i got a 5 star, but i lost the 50 50 and got Mona. i feel dead from inside now.

True. I'm not performing well enough and get blocked at floor eleven for not having enough stars. I could probably clear the whole abyss should there be no timer. And this is mostly dut to my playstyle and how much I invested in my characters. I want my characters to not reach LVL 90 "too fast" to begin with. None of mine are LVL 90 yet I heard it would make a noticeable difference.
@@yourmomprobably9104 ello just a few tips, for ur hu Tao it’s way better to go for off pieces with better substats than a set bonus with trash ones, also make sure u have the correct main stats as well. For hu Tao it would be hp, pyro, crit rate/crit dmg but prolly crit rate. For fishcl, Amos bow is kind of garbage on everyone but ganyu, the passive only works for charged shot gameplay. If you’re using fishcl for support I would recommend stringless instead if you have it, if she’s gonna be your main stick to Amos
@@EminoMeneko only characters like kazuha get a big boost to being lvl 90, other characters can be at 80 but ascended and do just fine, it’s actually not recommended to lvl to lvl them to 90 cause it costs so much resources it’s insane, 70 is fine for supports even. I only have 1 lvl 90 character, and it was mainly because I love the character, not for dmg, the rest of mine are at 70-80. Make sure you lvl those talents and weapons and I’m sure you can make it past floor 11 if you just have random lvl 20 artifacts with the correct main stat
I loose all my 50/50s and the only one i actually did not loose was Zhongli's rerun banner a few weeks ago. I actually pulled 10x by accident and got him first try (I only had 10 wishes)

If you don't have enough time to do these things whenever you lose the 50/50, I recommend doing everything in the video preemptively. The reason why is because you WILL eventually lose the 50/50, so if you start doing this now but at a slower pace, you most likely won't have to grind as much in the future to clutch a banner.
I'm gonna try this tomorrow, i'm currently going for Kazuha's rerun banner and needing a lot of primogems for him. I'm gonna edit this in about a week to see my progress in 7 days. (Also new sub)

8 months later and Sumeru has been unlocked, this guide still holds true. I didn't know about the companion sets and thank you for helping me streamline getting my exploration percentage in each area up. One difficulty I have been having with the Serentea Pot is getting the blueprints for certain furnishings needed for some of the sets. For one set I need a wooden picket fence of some type, but I have no idea where to get it from. It isn't in the realm depot, and I don't know where else to get blueprints from, other than the foggy island in Inazuma (God, I hate that place).
For teapot blueprint, you can buy them at the teapot spirit or doing some teapot quest. There is a teapot advenfure guide with some quest with 6 lvl I think, that give you blueprint as reward.
(I hope you understand what I mean)

@@irina-ty1336 That's what I thought you meant; I'm working my way through that. I'm also hunting down all the chests with blueprints that I can while trying to also pay attention to the Sumeru archon quests and ascending my Nahida.
F2p here. I honestly really think the game is viable and will continue to be viable for f2p people. While explorarion, world quests and stuff like that are only one time, there are other things that will keep coming, such as the web events, in-game events, maintenance rewards, the daily log-in, the occasional code, etc.
You just need to be smart, and while it is true that 5* aren't guaranteed, they're not guaranteed for literally anyone, even p2p people, as we've seen content creators spend literally thousands to get a single character. Also, people make it seem as though you NEED a 5* when plenty of people have proven that it's not necessary.
There's also plenty of showcase videos so you can easily choose which 5* is worth your primos.
If you're smart and take advantage of the primos and wishes given to you and don't pull on every banner, you'll be fine!
tbh the game always has been pretty "viable" for f2p, it's just the amount of dedication you need to pour in, which honestly, is quite demanding for most people. so i do understand the frustration when people need to decide between staying f2p or spending.

Because a character is guaranteed within 180 wishes provided you made no wish or just got a guaranteed 5⭐.
Which means that you can get a character for like 400€. This is at least the number that some streamers provide.
But I heard of whales wishing on weapon banner and spending thousands of dollars for nothing.
This guarantee is what makes me (a F2P player) play the game. With no guarantee whatsoever I wouldn't consider the game at all.

I respect your comment...but i can not agree with that. As f2p player its just a pure frustration. You get so less primogems, wishs etc.
You have to farm for MONTHS to get around 90-180 wishs and thats crazy. Plus, many people just have 2-3 hours a day to play this game..so you cant farm that much.
Sure you don't need 5 stars..but lets be honest collecting those special characters is one of the few things why many people play this game.
But the funniest thing is, to push your character to the way you want, you sometimes need this limited time available character a few times. Even if pulling this character one time is incredible hard.
I'm honest with you guys, i like this type of game...but the pay barrier is so laughable high, i think i will quit this game soon...farming months to not even get the wished character fo sure is crazy

fun fact: collect enough special collectibles such as crimson agate, lumenspar, or the little orange thingies in the new northern desert i forgor the name of, and eventually you will be given a way to locate the remaining ones! i really reccomend this, its way easier than finding remaining oculi since you don't need to craft anything or wait for a cooldown to be given the location of the next collectable. these can give wishes, primogems, and shrine of depth keys, so its worth it! the little namecards for getting all of them are fun too, if you're into that c: not to mention, its a good way to find obscure areas you havent found yet to look for more chests
On Venti's rerun I lost the 50/50 to Diluc but got all the way back up to pity in less than a week by getting nearly 100% exploration on the chasm and doing all the new quests. Anything for Venti.

Another thing with hangout events is that it usually gives you 2 achievements which give 5 primos each, and if you get every ending you get an achievement for another 20 primos.

Actually, put Tsurumi island higher on your priority list. These remarkable chests contain blueprints for your serinitea pot, which are necessary for some of the sets where you can get “gifts” from your companions-each gift will include 20 primogems. 20 primogems per character (that favors the design) per design does add up to be quite a lot when you consider how many different characters and designs there are.
also only the ones that are sitting out in the open and can be opened right away don't give primos, if you have to fight for it you'll get 5 primos

She got nothing but I got raiden- but she did get yae last banner so basically both of us have 0 pity w 0 primogems to get ayaka and ayato. Good luck! It's actually more important that you know how to save rather than know how to clutch though, so try to be less impulsive with the rolls. :P
Notice that even with 100% exploration, you can still find hidden chests
Also about Dragonspine all the primos you earn from chest and maybe challenges idk are doubled. Dragonspine is is how I got Childe and Zhongli during their first rerun.

hello, i had lost the 50/50 and got keqing (wrong anime waifu with cute ears) and i was out of hope but i saved up in 7 days and got to 80 pity but i hit hard pity but i managed to get 90 wishes in 1 and a half week. I just did events and exploring in the enkanomiya event map because i already did the whole map cuz i was at 56 ar

You can make it pretty far in abyss using two healers and the Clams artifact set. Noelle and Barbara, especially with C1 Noelle, can carry you to at least Floor 11-3 if you're lv80 with +20 5* artifacts.
Clams is also easier to build, as the substats can be pretty much ignored. Noelle needs DEF%DEF%HEALING%, Barbara HP%HP%HEALING%.
The healing% can be the odd one out, since HP and DEF goblets are easier to get than healing%.
Both Noelle and Barbara can cap out the healing bonus, so they'll do ~25,000 to 27,000 damage every 2.5 seconds.
Run Noelle with Geo Traveller and 2 other misc. characters, maybe to destroy elemental shields for enemies on X floor you're on.
Run Barbara with anybody honestly, but preferably a second hydro and two others that can destroy shields. You can run cryo and electro in order to super-conduct for the -40% physical resistance on enemies. The Clams bubble pop is physical, so you can do a bonus 40% on the 25-27k pops to do 35k+ damage per pop.
Double hydro is preferable on Barbara because it increases healing with the resonance.
If you have Qiqi, you can actually run her instead of Noelle or Barbara, because she's currently the only healer that can take full advantage of clams.
Her talisman, which is applied on burst or every 30 seconds when hitting an enemy, will max out the pop easily. That means you can have the bubble pop while off field as another character. Additionally, her on-field healing with her skill is strong enough to max out the pop as well.
I've personally 9*'d up to 11-3 with Qiqi and three lv20's on one half of my team. As for floor 12, you're out of luck there. You could *maybe* get a 3* clear with clams, but you need a more traditional team to do it. Even with all my galivanting around with building Physical Amber, Clams Qiqi, and EM Lisa, I still have to use my OP characters to 9* floor 12.

@@karma6326 honestly depending on your ganyu's investment. You can use morgana (just switch venti if u don't have him with kazoo/sucrose). You can use bennett xiangling bennett xingqiu / xiangling bennett kaeya rosaria as your second team. I don't know what other 5* you have so assuming that ganyu is your only 5*, that's the best i can say

I just lost my xiao 50/50 a few days ago and I just stumbled across this vid. I’m definitely gonna grind out all the things that you said in this vid, I’ll update you if I get xiao(I hope I do)
It was obvious even before clicking on the video it is meant for beginners who did not do anything yet.
I watched it to the end and it is fairly complete to be helpful to beginners. I'll add my 50 cents further.
For people like me though, there is mostly only the dailies, abyss and (web) events, Check-in, updates mails and new version live or other reward codes.
So there's no way we could get 90 intertwined in one week.
EXPLORATION
I'm AR58 and I "100%" of every area but Enkanomiya.
I put the percentage in quotes because it is not a real "100%".
It is adding up some of the actions you do until the formula reaches a "100%" cap, but you'll still be able to find chests after.
Exploration is one of my favourite things in games, and Genshin is one great game for that. As you mention the team shall be tailored for the area but I'm more on trying to have a most stable team as possible.
Some characters have bonuses related to exploration such as climbing, running speed increased. (Xiao, Razor, Rosaria, you name it...)
You need a claymore to quickly collect ore.
You need a bow for distant mechanics.
You need Pyro for many mechanics
This gives you Amber as a super handy character for exploration.
She had gliding bonus, and is a Pyro bow user.
She's not in my main team but it is worth to be mentioned.
Being the outrider of Favonius order is just a huge hint.
As of Inazuma, it became paramount to use the official interactive map to make sure you cleaned everything. The chest finding item is not that handy. This is because it finds chests in a subdivision of the area instead of a radius around you. You could have a chest next door but the item will tell there's nothing. Either the map shall display those subdivisions, either the item shall use a radius around you.
There are several methods to clear the map. Yours is excellent. This is what I did so far for Enkanomiya. But prior to that I was free in Mondstadt. I picked things as I go and it was fun. I kept this way of doing in Liyue. Electro sigils were a pain to get the sakura to level 50.
It is a chore to switch constantly between the game and interactive map to update it manually. But it is also horrid to know you'll need to audit the map anyway when you'll reach a certain degree of completion of the map and everything will be rarer. You'll have to check every spot and mark them anyway.
That's why I did change my ways for Enkanomiya. Island by island you clear it 100%. It is easier to remember and be sure so that we can focus on the further steps.
That goes against my profound will to explore the full map early but you can do a bit of both strategies and unlock TP spots for instance but leave everything else.
STARDUST CONVERSION
For F2P I'd advise not to buy fates with starglitter. Better buy the characters before or weapons if you are interested.
Once you have all the characters it proposes to C6 (and/or weapons of interest R5) you can go ahead.
The characters in the shop are cyclic and the 12 of them reappear every 6 months. Unless the character list changes of course. There are rumors it might happen later this year. Weapons cycle also on regular basis between 2 sets.
TEAPOT
True, you can get primos from characters being in the right set but it is boring. I wish I could just pin one list of items I need to build one because I constantly forget and you know switching between dialog boxes is not something I love much.

you can use another gesnhin map. a unofficial one, use map genie, they provide complete map with guide and picture (you can donwload it for andorid aswell). playin since 2.3 got 421 achievment ar55, also got qiqi,xiao,zhongli,ei, (mona n skyward catalyst in standar) i almst max inazuma, but still no drgaonspine, mond, liyue
im f2p and farming for ayato but i only have 28 days left. i have 8.5k primos saved up and 21 pity but ik its not enough bc what if I lose the 50/50? this vid is gonna be extremely helpful for me thank you
edit: OK THIS IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS AN INTERACTIVE MAP. NOW I CAN PUT MY 5+ SHRINE KEYS TO USE AND FARM EASIER
Preparing for a character is good, but not being ready on D day is not a big deal.
That's just a game and you have a clear purpose anyways.

thanks a lot lol, I don’t really need this since my next 5* is guaranteed but still it helps for grinding primos gotta keep the grind up for the maple man rerun! your voice is so soothing and chill lol anyways I started calculating primos, after a bit of grinding I was a 2K, after that I went to a text application and roughly caulated how much primos I will get from 2.6 turns out I can get 6990 without exploring, so I just added in the free pulls from exploring the chasm and the gem reward system there and now I’m at roughly 8990 which is the amount I need since my pity is 36

Best f2p tip I can give... Always check you fortune before wishing... I only wish when I get great fortune with rare horsetail as the lucky item... Using this tactic I've never lost a 50/50

if you're playing on mobile, tap your character to get all the loot at once instead of claiming every one individually
just lost the 50/50 to keqing and failed to pull ayato :')))))) let's hope that 20 days is enough to clutch him

i cleared inazuma 100% (enkanomiya included), did all the hangout quests, story quests, maxed out all events and ended up getting 2 jade cutters, yae's weapon (a lot of luck here) and won the 50/50 for yae, woo! *time to farm for kazuha*

*Tip for new players:* as soon as you've done a bit of the prologue in Mondstadt, you can then walk to most places in the world. In a chill evening, you can walk from Mondstadt to (currently) Fontaine to be able to get a free character/weapon, crown, primogems, and leveling materials from a flagship event. Definitely worth doing!
Crowns are another reason to make sure you do events! Crowns are required to level talents from 9 to 10. There are only 16 crowns permanently available. The rest come from limited-time events. Once that event is over, that crown is no longer available.
At the time of writing this, there have been 43 crowns up for grabs since launch, and 27 of those are no longer available. Everything else is replacable, those crowns are not. The characters/weapons will come around again in a banner. The materials can be farmed. Worse case, you can swipe for primos. However, there is no way to get those crowns once they're gone. You can't do anything about the ones that have passed, but make sure you don't miss them going forward!
Don't worry about the areas outside of Mondstadt being too hard. In many games, the world gets more difficult as you explore further from the starting area. Not so in Genshin. The enemy's level is loosely tied to adventurer rank.
