    … Very nice job and video. Thanks for taking the time to do it. … My parts arrived. The full exhaust, DNA air filter, 550 Stage 1 ECU and intake boot. The boot will be the last thing I do. Also will be cutting a hole(s) in the back top of the air box. I will film some before videos with the stock then after videos to see how much improvement there is. Thanks again for the video. Jeff .

    Does the stand you have your bike in slide under the bike or do you have to lift the bike to get the stand under it? If it does slide under the bike, please tell me which one you have. Thank you.

      Hi, The stand is really close. I have to slightly lift it but very little effort. I bought it at Harbor Freight for around $50. www.harborfreight.com/350-lb-capacity-motocross-dirt-bike-stand-64926.html

    When you added this exhaust did it make any check engine lights come on?

    Did your header pipe sit flush with the flange. Mine doesn’t appear to tighten all the way

    Are you goin to do the 550 ECU ? Is there any difference is less heat and does it run better?

    • @chetcornelison
      @chetcornelison  Год назад +1

      Hi, Yes I had my ECU Re-Flashed by 550 Performance. I am still doing mods to the bike so I have not ridden it yet. What I know is when I started it in the Garage it sounds Great, and sounded really smooth. From all of the videos I’ve watched, everyone is really impressed with 550 Performance. I’m looking forward to riding it, and will provide an update once I do. I hope this helps.

      @@chetcornelison Did you get the tune with like stage 1 premium unleaded or which one?

    • @chetcornelison
      @chetcornelison  Год назад +2

      @@mt1885 Yes, I got the Stage 1, 91 Octane which Maverick (The Owner) said would accommodate the High Performance Exhaust, High Flow Airbox lid (Which I purchased) and the High Flow Airbox Velocity Stack, if I choose to do that modification. At this time i am not doing the Velocity Stack. He said it would still run great without it and I can always do it later. I haven’t ridden it yet, but starting it up it sounds so much better and you can tell it’s raring to go. Hopefully the weather will cooperate soon and I can get it out for a ride. I’m working on Bars, grips, levers, and hand guards next.

    Hi, I want to ask if anyone had this issue..i just installed the yoshimura full exhaust and I noticed that a small bracket from the engine is touching the exhaust pipe ..a bit further back from the sensor.
    Is it normal or just mine ?😊

    • @chetcornelison
      @chetcornelison  Год назад

      Hi, I’ll take a look at mine and let you know. I don’t recall seeing anything touching a bracket.

    • @chetcornelison
      @chetcornelison  Год назад

      Matthew,
      You are correct, there is a bracket touching the exhaust. I tried wrapping a microfiber cloth around the exhaust the working it down the backside of the exhaust to see if it would Pass through, and it would not. I don’t think it will be an issue but will keep an eye on it. It may be a matter of bending it in a couple mm. Let me know if you come up with a solution and when I have time, i’ll take try bending the bracket in to see if it can easily clear the pipe. Thanks for asking the question, and bringing that to my attention.

    Adding the Yoshimura RS-4 Comp Series Complete Exhaust With Stainless Header . .. THEY CLAIM it has been made for this bike specifically (2023 CRF300L) this year, so you can bolt and ride with no programmer. Some say you do, R&D says you don't? One popular magazine says it is 100% compatible, one says it needs a programmer to get it dialed in? GEEZ! Google it and Everyone is an expert, but there is no definitive YES or NO across the board. Downside to internet search, everyone is an authority. What was Honda thinking with the enormous rear fender, it looks ridiculous!

    • @240LTS
      @240LTS 9 месяцев назад

      ... Paul, I'm with you. Many so called "experts" cannot agree in what the facts are. Frustrating to say the least.
      I also am considering an exhaust system. Jake the garden snake went from the Black Widow to this Yosh.
      I only want to do this once but do not want to get into re-tuning, etc.
      Seems like once you start down that road owners run into unknown issues.
      Undeniable reliability is why I bought this bike.
      Is there any benefit to simply bolting this exhaust, or any exhaust, on?
      Ben, Dork in the Road, bolted on a Graves and he believe it helped noticeably. 15%.

      Putting mine on in three days, I will let you know my personal experience. It’s a 2023 CRF300L. I have a friend out of state with the same bike, used same exhaust and claims he has had absolutely zero issues. He said “I’ve had to use programmers in the past since they ran rich, but this is the first one I know of that is bolt on ready to ride like it came stock from Honda” 👍🏻
