Gorillas are first of all very food oriented. Food is there most important touch or attachment agent to planet earth for gorillas. That's what I learned after two years of daily observation of them. . It's almost... euh... a sacred thing... that food🙃 and certainly when it is very prefered😬😛 Well done, Kintaro : let not rob your prefered carottes by your dad. Momotaro needs to gather his own carots all by himself 😤
Kintaro wasxchased down by his father, but you could tell he was chuffed that he still got a handful of carrots. I think the family is used to Momotaro's food aggression and occasional grumpiness. But, then the moment passed, and lots of leaves and vines were consumed.
Momo, is teaching Kintaro the way it is for when he is a silverback, and if he is head of his troop! There is a hierarchy that has to be followed, you don't touch their food or go in that space until he is finished.
I see other Gorillas eating fresh watermelon, plums, oranges, etc. I never see the Momotaro's have any of that unless it's in a frozen block of ice. I never see them eating peppers, broccoli, etc. I mainly only see them eating grass and leaves. Why is that?
Good quesition ! I repeatedly explain that eating too much fruits defo leads to tooth decay. Except Genki, the rest of the family has no cavities at all. However at other zoos, many gorillas have dental issue. Unfortunatly they will die earlier.
@@Gorilla-Life I can definitely understand about the fruits and tooth decaying, but what about other green veggies? I've seen many many videos with other SilverBack tribes in Zoos eating lots of fresh veggies like whole cabbages, broccoli, eggplants, lettuce, tomatoes. Peppers, etc. I rarely see the others eating just leaves. I'm sure they're not starving but they should have a variety of fresh veggies everyday. Now, i am not expert on animals whatsoever but i personally would be bored if i only ate leaves. The Momotaro's seem content and they do love the zookeeper. But being that these are huge animals they should get more. Shabani, Haoko, D'Jecco, Zola, and all of the other male Silverbacks are enormous compared to Momotaro and it very well could be based on their genes. I still love Momotaro and his beautiful family and they will always be my favorite. God bless all animals and please be kind to them always ❤️🙏🏽🦍❤️🙏🏽
They have PLENTY of carrots, they need to spread more out so they ALL can eat carrots that they need! Or separate them during snack time so they all eat equal amounts of their favorite foods, it’s a Zoo, food is always stocked for the animals, plenty of it too!!!!
So, during super time, they are separeted. No worries, the whole members can get a treat even if some of them miss it. The zookeepers give it to the members later on.
