ROFL lol I love that you totally forgot you were recording a video and chowing down LOL hahaha I love it. You have BEAUTIFUL hands and fingers by the way.
Heyo James!....Grilled Salmon looks super delicious all you need is some Bacon Wrapped Asparagus as a side and you got the perfect meal. Take care and stay safe. Cheers!
Vielen Dank für deine tollen Videos. Mein Englisch ist zwar nicht gut, aber trotzdem verstehe ich (fast) alles. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland/Bayern 👍🏻 Andrea
I've watched a lot of videos trying to learn how to use my ninja grill. James is by far my favorite! Everything I've made following James methods have turned out perfect! Everytime I make something for the 1st time I watch his video on it 1st. Following the manual just wasn't working for me. Thanks James, I feel like an even better cook having the ninja foodi smart xl grill & you to guide me!
I recently received the Ninja Foodi XL Grill as a gift. As a newbie, I’m looking for easy to follow recipes. Just found your channel and love videos. They are easy to follow and the results are fantastic. I bought 1/4 pound of salmon recently it’s a very small piece and I’m wondering what the results would be cooking it on the ninja. Perfect would be the word. I followed your recipe exactly cooked that little piece for a total of seven minutes. It was so moist and delicious I surprised myself. I usually cook my fish on the big egg and never knew what the internal temperature should be now I know 145 it was perfect and tender. Thank you for taking the time to put this in a video.
I did grilled salmon tonight in my 5 in 1. Followed your video and it turned out perfectly. I used a manual digital cooking thermometer to check the temperature. Took 11 minutes total on high.
So the best thing to do is have the same thickness in fish but that is very hard to do. So I would get some more external thermometers with a cord and then stick them all. Take them out as they go off. Also I would not cover the hole in the middle. Great stuff. Also, having a separate cutting board for uncooked food is a good idea also. Unless you bleach each time you wash it.
@@CookinWithJames Got it!!! My salmon was lovely but a little over cooked although I took it out early. Thanks...look forward to watching more of your videos 😊
I just got one of these and thawed out some salmon so I'm gonna try this tonight. I'm a little worried with the discrepancies with the internal temps. 145-170 degrees is a bit drastic!
Wow. Never had that question before. You know what I have never tried that. But, not saying to do it....hahaha😝. But I might try. Happy holidays! Again I’m not recommending u try it! Hahaha😝.
I have tried for so long to find a video for using my Ninja foodi smart xl grill but couldn't so glad I found you this was Very Helpful Thank You
Thanks so much
So no need to put butter in the grill or salmon i guess right?

Nice James….thanks for making it simple. I’ll be doing this tonight on my new Ninja!
Sweet! Tell me how it goes!
Should i use a little oil on it?

Awesome! I’m glad it turned out!
James this looks absolutely delish. Thank you for the idea.
Your welcome Ken! Hope you enjoy! Happy holidays!
Another great video, James. I'm a big tuna fan so going to try some tuna very soon.
Thanks Larry! Much appreciated brother! Have a great weekend!
I followed your instructions step by step to a T. However, my salmon was a little dry, but I love the flavor!
Thnx so much. Every piece of fish is different. Did u have a thermometer to check internal temp. Its done at 145 degrees
Change to 140

@@CookinWithJames Got it!!! My salmon was lovely but a little over cooked although I took it out early. Thanks...look forward to watching more of your videos 😊
Kerry O'Leary thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it! Awesome!
Did you use any oil??
Yes
Is the ninja grill better than an air fryer?
Actually the ninja is an air fryer. But it also has grilling functions! Happy holidays! Any other questions let me know!
@@CookinWithJames
So would you recommend the ninja grill or an air fryer?
Melissa Roeseler the ninja foodi smart xl grill is awesome! It really depends on how much food u want to cook at once!
I don't have a thermometer, so how long does it take? I lost my thermometer!!! :(
I think I say how long in the video. I can’t remember exactly.
@@CookinWithJames 8 to 10 minutes. Then Remove fish from the grill
Like a lot of things in takes practice. Thanks for the video. Great job.
Great video James😋
Thanks so much Stephanie! I really appreciate it! Have a blessed weekend!
We don’t flip fish?
No

I would do 135 as it will need to rest anyway and will get to 145 during that time.
I have to thank you for bringing sweet chili into my air fyer cooking repertoire. Made seeet chili basted chicken thighs yrsterday
Oh oh yaaaa! Man the sweet chili is a game changer, for sure! So many things to cook with it! Thanks so much!
Good job
Thanks so much tell me what you think
Yummy 😋
Thanks Rosemary! Happy new year!
Can I use a small cedar plank with my salmon in mine, just got it!
Wow. Never had that question before. You know what I have never tried that. But, not saying to do it....hahaha😝. But I might try. Happy holidays! Again I’m not recommending u try it! Hahaha😝.
James tomorrow salmon
It cooks salmon so good!
Cut it well oooo
Thanks!
Mines said to flip...you don't flip salmon
You can if you put skin side up first. That would be to get grill marks then flip
I always flip, I do akin side up first so that way I get the grill marks and for some reason it cooks better from personal experience
ick no skin!
Your preference!
