Tony Buzon is a genius.wow he knows what he is talking about.this is like a set in stone type of thing because once you create new things on a piece of paper you actually can re-create your life from a fresh start.

I love how Buzan talks with his hands. You could almost gather that gist of what he's saying simply by watching him.

I'm just introduced to mind mapping and I bought his book. I find the idea very intriguing and exiting. I don't know how long it will take to master mind mapping, but I surely know that it'll be a long and fun journey.
Let's see what will happen in a year. I'll come back and edit this comment and share my experience with you.

    Very interesting video.
I have noticed that association and visualization works wonders for me. The crazier the association, the better.
Say you want to remember bread, milk and eggs....
Visualize as vividly as possible something like balancing a loaf of bread on your head while drinking milk from the jug and throwing eggs at people as you leave the store.
OK maybe that's not the best example but I think you will get the point.
Try it and let me know what you think!!!!!

Used this method intuitively throughout my studies. Indeed the linear note taking never worked for me. Luckily for me, always had teachers that encourage the use of color pens & pencils. Still doing it today.

  • @nassimabed

What leaves me concerned is, when you stick to the "one word", and as the map ages, it becomes impossible to remember exactly what you were thinking. I am familiar with process mapping but what I do not know is the context in which mind mapping is useful: in the sense that, what comes after it? One it's done, how is it used for subsequent steps?

Since math is based on logical thinking (left brain), I don't think a more creative method would help at all (except for remembering mathematical formulas). In most all other subject, though, this should drastically improve the effectiveness of studying.

what is the next best way to think and act more in synch and aligned with the ways our brain functions ?
Am sure that neurosciences, anthropologists and psychologists already have discovered the next quantum leap of expressing ourselves to better understand the challenges of complex problems, multidimensional and lateral issues, ...
how can we include mindfulness and triple sustainability into our ways of expressing ourselves ?

I agree with you even though I have above average intellegence, when I'm around people of lesser intellegence I taper down my intellegence because I have never like showing off to someone of lesser intellegence because I don't want people to think I'm conceited. But I love to test my memory, because as you get older you tend to lose some of your memory if you don't keep your brain active doing memory exercises.
