I can't figure out what the purpose of it being able to turn the top half is all about. If they were going to do that why not just have the whole thing turn?
I suppose you could buy another set and build the two smaller trees and have a Goldilocks and The Three Bears type of display going on what with having a daddy tree, a mummy tree and a baby tree. Do you have the Lego Christmas tree 40338 that was a gift with purchase a few years ago? It would be interesting to see a comparison between the two sets if you do.
Hi Barry. 3 trees of differing sizes would look good together. I think I may have one of the old GWP Xmas tree sets In my attic somewhere, but it will still be sealed. I did see a video from someone else that built all 3 of the, trees from this set and the older GWP set, which is about the same size as the middle sized tree from the new set ruclips.net/video/RCY5lZFFADs/видео.html
Thanks for your review. Finally bought it!
Excellent. It looks great once built.
Great review thanks Iain! I was amazed at the size of the box when this arrived but I haven't built mine yet.
You get quite a lot of Lego pieces for your money with this set
How's your city coming along could put a Xmas tree as a centre piece possibly
City is on hold at the moment. Never seem to have enough time these days

It is a bit odd.
it is easier to transport it and/or store it in cabinet, locker etc.

Is it normal for the halves to be separated? Because for me there isn’t a piece that locks the 2 halves of the tree so it feels a bit loose
No sure - the instructions dont say that the top part can rotate, but it does for me
It was a nice build but I had so many pieces missing.. had 6 2+6 flat green missing
Oh no! Did you contact Lego about it?
Got the free one 3 years ago.
That's good enough for me. Lol
Me too, but that one is a bit smaller.
@@iainsbricks free is free. Lol
