- ➡️ Raphinha sent out a strong message about his Barcelona future after scoring twice in Wednesday’s Champions League win at Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian has been linked with a summer exit on several occasions this season, but he has insisted he has no intention of going anywhere.
“I have a few more years on my contract and I plan to fulfil them,” he said after the game.
“I have already said many times that signing for Barcelona was a dream, and I will do everything possible to stay here for many years.”

I think the way xavi has now played him has brought out his true potential. We are now playing to his strengths and he is not stuck wide and forced to dribble which is certainly not his game. Now he has the freedom to come inside and if we look at his time at leeds he never was stuck out wide , he came inside a lot .

Raphinha has shown great work rate and versatility long before this match. It's only right now that the ungrateful fans are truly seeing his value. Even before this game he was Barcelona's most productive forward, despite playing various roles throughout the season. It didn't take this match to prove he's more valuable than Felix, but clueless fans would still knock him. What people don't understand is football isn't won by "looking dangerous". It's far more valuable actually producing a result than just "running past your defender 1v1". So many praised Dembele because he looked more dangerous, but his output was practically equal to Raphinha's first season in a new team and league.

The thing about Raphihna is that he gives his all for the Barca badge even though he's not that good of a player bt he's dedication will elevate him to the next level. Raphihna is not a sellout like Dembele.

In the last 5 matches, raphinha gets better and better, he sometimes makes silly decision in 1st and 2nd game, but in the last 3 games, he play more consistent. I can say if he keep it up, he will reach the expected qualities just like psg battle, He looks focus and very determine.

Raphina’s ability to play in multiple positions is crucial for this team and makes them unpredictable in a way cause you will never know where he decides to pop out of no where and gives Barca the lead or equalizer. With this kind of player in your team who’s more of a work horse doesn’t complain much but would follow the coaches instructions is instrumental. Sell him and you will have to leave with that gap of unpredictability. In addition, dembele is the type of guy you meet on the street and tell him you’d slap the hell out of him because you feel like he will betray you even though you don’t know him

What we have learned is that Raphinha should be the false winger in Xavis system. He complements Lewa so well as a threat in behind when lewa becomes a target man as a CF. Xavi has finally found a system that maximizes our key players.

Players like Faye and Mbacke should be brought into the first team. Then sign a winger like Leao or Kvara. The DM can be managed with players like Christensen, Casado. Faye or even Cubarsi can even be developed to play as a DM.

If I get the option to choose any LW in the world I'd still choose someone like leao, doku, silva, grealish, rodrygo etc. Over Mbappe. For the simple fact that Mbappe is a luxury player that needs to be fed in order to do his thing, otherwise he is quiet. Raphina for instance will get better by the day for the simple fact that he is willing to work for the team. PS: this is in no way shade to Mbappe who is still a very amazing player.

Raphinha isn't a great wing because he's not as good at dribbling as Yamal or Dembele, he's not as fast as Mbappe, he's not as good as Grealish at getting fouled and he's not the next Beckham in terms of crosses. However, he's very good as an attacking midfielder or a center forward playing behind a big striker like Lewandowski, he makes great runs, he shoots from long distance, he's good at pressing and defending his side. It all depends on how the coach wants the team to play. If the expectations are "tiki taka", positional play and possession, then Raphinha isn't right for that style. If the idea is to play a more German "gegenpressing" style like Liverpool or Bayern, then Raphinha is perfect for an attacking midfielder role. Personally, I like the second option better, but for some fans it's some sort of sin to not play "tiki taka" all the time.
I like the way we’re happy but the game is still tight as Xavi said. This outshining is not important now when second leg is just at the corner. Let’s eliminate PSG and fire them well.
