These never gets old - some of us have the bad habit of taking long breaks and then having to start over. Thanks, your approach to teaching is among the best.
Played for 10 + years and put down for nearly the same. My Mum gifted me a Strat when I was 18, she passed quickly from Cancer last year. I got it back from the guitar shop where it was being restored from damp and this is my 1st song to learn from scratch again (traditionally I'm lead). It's like coming home playing again, brings tears to my eyes. Incredible production and video. Thank you
Thanks Bill , i'm an old learner 66 and with your help got to speed on banjo and my son learnt the guitar 'so back to the top we go' (heard it a 100 times) .You're star , thanks again
Awesome. My Son sent this to me, after buying this old man of 70 years a banjo this Christmas. We're going to use this and try to do a Father and Son duet. Wish us luck. Only been plucking at this thing for 30 days.
I can't believe its just (glibly) walking G C and D around. This tutorial taught me that; I already knew how to play it. Always wanted to; just never did lol. What a time to be alive.
The guitar has always been a mystery to me. Always wished I could play it, but never had enough patience to actually learn how. Love the duelling banjo theme.
I have played the gbe lick for omg 😱 forty years and never learned the rest. And some how came across your video. I’m gonna wear your video out learning the rest of the song. 🎵. Thank you for sharing this video. 😃👍👍👍
what a great video man! i recently saw deliverance and i got very hype with the banjos scene, you put dawn all in order and with a very easy way to explain, great job!
Im trying to teach myself this song to play with my dad and this vid is the best one out there! Ive never played before and you make it easy to follow. Thank you!
Cool alternate Dixie rendition. Thanks for clearing the fog (I thought I'd never be able to play this, now I can already play part of it). Thanks for the inspiration to not give up!

Awesome thank you. This REALLY is the best instruction video I've come across. I've been playing acoustic for about a year and learning what I know from the internet. I've come a very long way but got a long way to go. I've got my basic chords down and strumming so I'm upping the ante by trying to learn how to pick an use tabs. I still love playing and still eager to keep learning. 2020 and still helping folks. Thanks dude
Thank you - this is a great and "easy"- cause of it´s way to be - tutorial! It gets me started to accompany my friends in playing dueling banjos on guitar. Very helpful in getting started.THANK YOU!

im playn your banjo arrangement to this..3 months now!...but learning your other tutorials!....guutar backup makes it sound great plus keeps all playing in time!
I have had my guitar for about a month, so I am still very green. I learned a lot from this video and another on how to walk from chord to chord. I never knew this little tune (that is now under my belt (thanks to you)) was so simple, it lifts my spirits and confidence exponentially! Thank you so much!
I just got a guitar a few weeks ago an I'm past the sore fingers. This will be my first song (I hope) it gets a little hard when my grand babies are here though. Your just laid back and getting into it being all relaxed. Can't wait until i can do that being the party starter. I have checked out every YT lesson on this song i can find, an believe me ( YOU ARE THE BOSS! ) but dang you make it look easy so easy. So for the past month or so that's been most of my views an minutes earned and enjoying every minute of it!! Thank you very much for sharing! Cheers Ed. P.S. Thinking it's time to sub your channel... I'm always so much into the lesson i keep forgetting, on there now!
