I have both, I prefer shoes over the boots...my legs just don't move well with the boots feels uncomfortable on the bike. I wear them when I'm out on my quad in mud, because obviously they help keep your legs from being smacked with sticks in the woods. Plus I don't have to shift my 4 wheeler, trying to shift with boots like this with no flex can be a pain. You can get a decent pair of motorcycle shoes for like 60 bucks. I have the alpine sektors which are comfortable
Now that you mention it, it kinda feels weird how Polyphony did the effort of making a Gr. 3 Corvette from scratch when they could've just added the C7.R into the game. Hopefully we get the C8.R in future updates.
If your shoes doesn't have the elastic band like mine. Pull the remaining part of the laces underneath the other laces works about the same. Also shoes on work rides not gonna wear boots all day, boots on free time rides.
I wear Keen hiking boot/shoe things. They come up ankle high and feel pretty good on my old 919. Maybe not the best protection ever but they’re comfy and much better than a shoe. They’re also pretty tough and waterproof so I mean they work. I use another pair I have for work everyday 😂

Can confirm, getting your laces caught on your footpegs is scary. Getting BOTH shoes caught on the footpegs at a stoplight will 100% give you a heart attack. Luckily some frantic leg wiggling and good balance helped me keep the bike up. Went out and bought proper motorcycle boots the next day lmao

Shoes have no ankle or lower leg protection. They never made perfect road boot,bottom like road racer top like motorcross boot. Track is one thing road you need lower leg protection to the knee. Cars sling debri that can break lower leg, not so if you got motocross boot protection.
I’ve broken my foot and ankle TWICE wearing shoes. One time coming to a stop. Dragged my foot a little early got a little hole in the road with my food and shattered my foot. Second time came to a stop and stepped off on a rock or some shit and rolled my ankle bike fell on top and broke it. They have TERRIBLE protection and support and I should’ve known better being on dirt bikes my whole fucking life. Don’t make the same mistake.
