I really feel like some teams just don't understand how Sage comps work. Especially those teams with newer rosters. We can see some teams exploit sage in Icebox, PRX and FUT with their own take on Sage working well in Sunset and Lotus as well. Considering teams fare quite well against Sage in Split, I really feel like using Sage take some teams by surprise and screw up their plans super hard.
@@funkycrawler619 Maybe the word exploit was too excessive. Even then, Pacific teams rarely use sage on Icebox, and some teams like Loud use Harbor and Viper instead. Sage had been the go to option for forced plants on Icebox, I know. She does see less play nowadays tho. Thats what I wanted to say. You are absolutely right btw. Just addin more context on my part.
I think its fair to say that emea turned into apac whilst apac turned into emea. But seriously tho i seen emea experimenting new comps more than apac itself currently while apac leens in more in the current meta.
The thing about KC's comp is it has no initiator either other than a recon/info one in Fade. I think FUT exploited that weakness. FUT comp would get destroyed by a good flasher like Skye or Phoenix, but they knew KC wouldn't have any. KC only have some fade stuff and nades to work with, other than that their comp is pretty defensive. FUT can just grant them a bit of A space, then what? You're out of aggressive utility and yes FUT will just fight you in the open, with sage slows you have a huge advantage. I like the idea honestly. Wouldn't work vs Skye who can just pop flash you if you're fighting in the open/near A site/stairs. Fade can't do shit there, raze can't either, omen flash is not good that far, and a singular sage slow between A main and pillar screws you.
while ur points on flash-agents are correct, the comp kc using is literally the default lotus comp. at least 80% of teams I've seen are using that comp
To put this another way, Magnum is just sucks, he cant call things to counter this. All they can do is set anti-strat with Engh. They won't be able to adapt to weird comps and strats because these IGLs are just straight up textbook bots.
Cant lie it is indeed a ranked comp with the sage and jett and having no initiator at all is literally like ranked that mfs just pick what they want and just dont fill in for the team.
Emea is the best overall region. Everyone is competitive and all teams are decent. However the top teams of EMEA look quite a bit weaker than top teams of Americas and APAC. So they wont win international LANs but their mid tier teams beat other mid tier teams of other regions
I will say a lot of EMEA teams experiment more than their regional counterparts except maybe APAC. Which can be good for them but they just really have to be more adaptive cause I think a lot of EMEA teams aren't good at adapting during the game.
Nope you're only saying that because EMEA has no elite (PRX GENG SEN LOUD NRG) level teams. If you took those teams away from NA and Pacific those regions would look "competitive" too

Sage on Icebox isn't really exploitative lol she's one of two agents that make B doable. But other maps, like Sunset in particular, she can be.

The resurgence of Sage was not on my 2024 bingo card but I guess PRX's impact is too strong
