Hahaha wow. If I hadn't had a nice 13% stout (cost of $100 a bottle, since you like to talk about how much I get paid) in me, I wouldn't take the time I'm about to to type this out. But here we go! Especially over art lol. Does it make you feel good, letting people know that you don't like what they like? lol All you're doing is being negative and that literally serves no purpose. Next time you want to hate on something, just stop for 10 seconds and think about what the point is. I guarantee that 90% of the time, you're just being petty. I mean, you've been petty this entire conversation lmao. I haven't smoked weed in 4 years. This account was made when I was 16. I'm 26 now. Again- Nice try. Furthermore, your presumption that smoking pot influences my point of view here shows that you literally are trying to cling to anything you can to be right, so you don't have to look at yourself and realize that being an asshole is unwarranted and just plain isn't cool. Also, massive lol at "being invited to parties year after year". Hearing this today for the first time. Amen Brother! It brought me to tears because I'm exhausted from staying strong. It made me feel better though, and I love the song. Praying for humanity who remains strong in these days & times of the poisoning of our environment, mind, body, soul, & very existence. It's time to be self sustaining again, so we can thrive after the fall of the cabal and corrupt corporate world. 😊
Beautiful song brother, I just had a negative moment in my day and your song came just like blue angels from heaven, namste and love to everyone reading or not reading :)
Namaste and love back to you two years later. I was in a negative moment too, and trying to bring myself up and out of it. Here I am connecting with you somewhere in the universe sending hope and light and love.
Risking to die from a fever (except if "living this way" includes pharmacetics), accepting to be hungry half a day and saying goodbye to the easy access to our society's entertainment and culture (and I'm even talking about the"sane" ones, like litterature)? Then throw out your computer/phone or whatever you're writing this comment on, because that would be the easiest part of starting to live "this way". I'm glad I live in this society... Even if it's often unfair, I would not trade my place with a guy singing half nude with a guitar in the forest. I disagree with a lot of things going on our system, so I fight for some of day everyday - without preaching it, because you don't make things evolve by forcing it on people. Stop dreaming your life, live it. You can do beautiful things wherever you are now. You want nature? Start growing up the simplest stuff yourself - it's not hard to have your own onions or tomatoes. You want community? Go talk to your neighbours, invite them, help them... The list is long. Some things depend on yourself only.
Hey, be sure not to leave your house, MrsFackdem, since it might be cold outside, and you might even fall and hurt yourself. To be sure, simply stay inside, order food, watch tv all day, and make sure you have 911 on speed dial. That's true living.
Just rubs people the wrong way because they can not process it and have to express their agitation, while they live their 'modern' material lives probably, heads in their devices detached from reality.
Man i agree with you, more people should live like this guy see how happy he is. And whats with the "how can a hippy have such a nice guitar"what if this is his only possession because he loves playing guitar? You know what i see jealousy in those people i think its just jealousy like "why can he live the way i actually want to and im not"
After more than a decade this song is Still, just as good. I listen to this song every few months to remind myself that I am a Child of the Aina and I am not standing alone as an Ambassador of Aloha. Love-Light!
How dead does one have to be on the inside to dislike this? Paul, you are a representation of the only kind of people that can live on this planet a thousand more years without having to worry about the future at all. A conscious revolution is on the horizon, and psychedelics are the catalyst. It's time to change.
brother paul, your song made me tear up, brought me light on my darkest hours in life and it makes wish to go back in time when i was a kid, to sit with my parents and listen to your song all day long, tons of love and super respect for you, XOXO
Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai In a time where the culture could die If you take away the water, our precious wai, wai Oh Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai In a time where the people could cry Cause they are abusing the 'aina `A`ole malama So let's not feed Our hunger with greed Its time we plant the seed And remember true Hawai`i Kanaka Maoli Don't let it die Don't say we didn't try To break out through the lies And look in to the inside Akua guide I Like `opelu in the sea A school we must be Planting kalo to feed our family Singing a song to help each other along Keiki O Ka `Aina Stand Strong Well we can talk about sustainability But most of this land is leased to companies Who could care less about the people And the land they grow upon Just becomes a chemical farm They're doing harm And what have these companies done for us anyway Most of the food they grow just get sent away To another place and they say it to our face If we didn't have them, we'd starve in just a few days But our way We are here to make our stand today And there's a lot of people out there that feel the same way Don't let them trick you, they're out to deceive But everyone is entitled to what they believe So I'll be chanting Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai In a time where we look through the lies Stare them in the eyes and told them that This truth wears no disguise Like `opelu in the sea A school we must be Planting kalo to feed our family Singing a song to help each other along Keiki O Ka `Aina Stand Strong Like `opelu in the sea A school we must be Planting kalo to feed our family Singing a song to help each other along Keiki O Ka `Aina Stand Strong
I remember watching this on shrooms a few year back..This made me realise how materialised we are now and how we as human species forgot what are true form is. Mark my words X
Honesty opens the conversation, truth sustains it. People who cannot (and will not) listen to reason would find their deviousness being tested, making them react in violence. Hatred stems from being faced with realness that's hard to handle.
Heres some of the lyrics O manai, mahalo for the paia, in a time when a culture could die If you take away the water, our precious vivai O manai, mahalo for the paia, in a time when the people could cry Cause the're abusin the aina a ulemalama So let's not feed our hunger with greed It's time we plant the seed and remember true hawai kanakamaoli Don't let it die don't say that we didn't try To break hem through the lies, I'll look into the inside akua guida Like a pillow in the sea A school it must be, planting kalo to feed their family Singing our song to help each other along Keiki o ka aina stand strong Well we can talk about sustainability But most of this land is least to companies Who could care less about the people and the land they grow appart Just becomes a chemical farm, the're doin harm But what have these companies done for us anyway Most of the food they grow just get send away To another place and they say it to our face If we didn't have them we'd starved in just a few days Well I wait, we are here to make our stand today And if it goes like a lot of people out there who'd feel the same way Don't let them trick you the how to deceive, but everyone is entitled to what they believe So i've been chanting manai, mahalo for the paia In a time we look through the lies Stare them in the eyes and thaught them that this truth wears no desguise.
Mahalo brother. Thank you for such a beautiful song and message. May our Creator bless you and your family with long life and fertility. I stand with you in heart and in spirit

Ok guys I think we're missing the main point of this video/song. Instead of discussing hippie lifestyle, hippie appearance, hippie superficiality, etc., it would be nice to pay more attention to the message implicit in the lyrics. Doesn't matter who you are, how you dress, what's you lifestyle or way of thinking. That's not gonna change the fact big corps are destroying and polluting the environment, specially in small regions where rural communities are more vulnerable -not to mention the bloody historical struggles stemming related to land appropriation unfair processes. Look I live in the city, I follow a pretty average way of life here in London and I still do care for the planet, climate change, food and conservation issues, etc. There's only one thing I don't care about: labels. We are all needed in this environmental struggle to save the planet. Everyone plays their role and the way we look like, speak, walk, dress, etc. is irrelevant. I think the message of this song is very strong and should be the main point of discussion that we all share.
Purchasing drives production and consumption. London gonna be sad when Del Monte can't bring bananas in May. Stop purchasing and his poison water problem goes away. The City a vampyre sucking lifeblood from vast Ancient ecosystems turned monocrop. Full stop. -emason
Uhm okay BUT people are discussing amazing things he has helped them with I thought I was going to have a heart attack and die soon from the stress of living in south africa and instantly after hearing this mans voice for one second it went away and I felt his love and he helped me so people can discuss what they want to online. I get your point but its not like they smashing his name or anything bad so why the problem with comments ?
Keep your mind open look straight into the 3rd.eye walk the less trodden path and it will become a well trodden spiritual trail(trodden is a word innit)come 1
I love this song so much. It helped me through times when I was lost, when life was close to having no meaning. It helped me smile it helped me cry. So meaningful.

Great message Paul. I am with you 100 %. We have started to look at growing our own food and using food as our medicine. We are vegan and feel so much better for it. We stay clear of the unconscious crowd in big gatherings and are promoting peace and healthy living in our local community through our Ki Gong classes here in the UK. Keep the good vibes flowing as you have a beautiful heart. Namaste.

Other people are just jealous, that someone can live without much money or completely without it, away from the system and hostile society, close to the nature, in peaceful communities where everyone loves and cares about each other. They are jealous that you can you live so simple life and be just happy everyday, have time for creating, playing music, doing art works. Not to work in a corporation, live in stress, paying for credits, expensive cars and houses. Those people are convinced that life cannot look different, and because they (think they) cannot escape from the vicious circle in which they move everyday (work-home-sleep), they hate people who are fully free and happy.
i know i cant wait to be off grid. i got a few groups of friends down i also wanted to leave room for strangers also but i wanted to buy up alot of land together an build a close cob community with living grass roofs and a food Forrest going all throughout are community, strawberrys and grapes growing off the roof ect. collect water in a water catcher get free food free water and free shelter. show people a more natural way to co exist along side nature. hopefully inspire others to live in harmony with the Forrest, or atleast along side it.
thats a pretty naive interpretation. ...as if the one and only explanation can be jealousy... I think the main reason for the hate or troll comments is, that to most people it seems unnecessary to transform into a dreadlock wearing hippie talking with a jamaican accent, walking around like tarzan and practice yoga all day long. It seems really really superficial. You can be a good person and do good things, without all these superficialities.
i wish i had the lyrics to sing along with, love the wisdom, love the spirit of what is better than whats wrong, we got the people and the places, with so many faces, but we aren't receiving these messages, the difference in our necessities, together we will be free, and that is what we should see, to be in the moment and stand tall like the trees, fill with nourishment take in all inspiration and knowledge, wouldn't it be beautiful with laughter and worry not, for the frowns we will turn around and multiply

LYRICS:
Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai
In a time where the culture could die
If you take away the water, our precious wai, wai
Oh Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai
In a time where the people could cry
Cause they are abusing the 'aina
`A`ole malama
So let's not feed
Our hunger with greed
Its time we plant the seed
And remember true Hawai`i
Kanaka Maoli
Don't let it die
Don't say we didn't try
To break out through the lies
And look in to the inside Akua guide I
Like `opelu in the sea
A school we must be
Planting kalo to feed our family
Singing a song to help each other along
Keiki O Ka `Aina
Stand Strong
Well we can talk about sustainability
But most of this land is leased to companies
Who could care less about the people
And the land they grow upon
Just becomes a chemical farm
They're doing harm
And what have these companies done for us anyway
Most of the food they grow just get sent away
To another place and they say it to our face
If we didn't have them, we'd starve in just a few days
But our way
We are here to make our stand today
And there's a lot of people out there that feel the same way
Don't let them trick you, they're out to deceive
But everyone is entitled to what they believe
So I'll be chanting
Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai
In a time where we look through the lies
Stare them in the eyes and told them that
This truth wears no disguise
Like `opelu in the sea
A school we must be
Planting kalo to feed our family
Singing a song to help each other along
Keiki O Ka `Aina
Stand Strong
Like `opelu in the sea
A school we must be
Planting kalo to feed our family
Singing a song to help each other along
Keiki O Ka `Aina

"A mans richness is in the fewness of his wants". We are looking at a very wealthy man ✌️
Lyrics:
Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai
In a time where the culture could die
If you take away the water, our precious wai, wai
Oh Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai
In a time where the people could cry
Cause they are abusing the 'aina
`A`ole malama
So let's not be
A hunger with greed
Its time we plant the seed
And remember true Hawai`i
Kanaka Maoli
Don't let it die
Don't say we didn't try
To break out through the lies
And look in to the inside Akua guide I
Like `opelu in the sea
A school we must be
Planting kalo to feed our family
Singing a song to help each other along
Keiki O Ka `Aina
Stand Strong
Well we can talk about sustainability
But most of this land is leased to companies
Who could care less about the people
And the land they grow upon
Just becomes a chemical farm
They're doing harm
And what have these companies done for us anyway
Most of the food they grow just get sent away
To another place and they say it to our face
If we didn't have them, we'd starve in just a few days
But our way
We are here to make our stand today
And there's a lot of people out there that feel the same way
Don't let them trick you, they're out to deceive
But everyone is entitled to what they believe
So I'll be chanting
Mana `Ai, mahalo for the pa`i`ai
In a time where we look through the lies
Stare them in the eyes and told them that
This truth wears no disguise
Like `opelu in the sea
A school we must be
Planting kalo to feed our family
Singing a song to help each other along
Keiki O Ka `Aina
Stand Strong

Same bro. Always sing along.
Love the taro plants you got

I love this song. I hope it inspires more and more people to wake up.

I would love to live this way..
Some things depend on yourself only.
who asked you
+T2 TheY that's what people who are able to have a social life call "discussing".
Hey, be sure not to leave your house, MrsFackdem, since it might be cold outside, and you might even fall and hurt yourself. To be sure, simply stay inside, order food, watch tv all day, and make sure you have 911 on speed dial. That's true living.

why so much hate towards hippies? this song is so cool
You know what i see jealousy in those people i think its just jealousy like "why can he live the way i actually want to and im not"
Agree @Tamahagane , good vibes , with a tea on my house, just good chill and a good message, respect and peace people
Hey i just wanted to chime in and say that Happiness™ is not automatically achieved by living a certain lifestyle. it comes from within. :)
Tamahagane Hippies are against cutting down trees but then buy things like this that take many trees to create

How dead does one have to be on the inside to dislike this? Paul, you are a representation of the only kind of people that can live on this planet a thousand more years without having to worry about the future at all. A conscious revolution is on the horizon, and psychedelics are the catalyst. It's time to change.

Honesty opens the conversation, truth sustains it. People who cannot (and will not) listen to reason would find their deviousness being tested, making them react in violence. Hatred stems from being faced with realness that's hard to handle.
Heres some of the lyrics
O manai, mahalo for the paia, in a time when a culture could die
If you take away the water, our precious vivai
O manai, mahalo for the paia, in a time when the people could cry
Cause the're abusin the aina a ulemalama

Most of the food they grow just get send away
To another place and they say it to our face
If we didn't have them we'd starved in just a few days
Well I wait, we are here to make our stand today
And if it goes like a lot of people out there who'd feel the same way
Don't let them trick you the how to deceive, but everyone is entitled to what they believe
So i've been chanting manai, mahalo for the paia

Stare them in the eyes and thaught them that this truth wears no desguise.

Parmaculture way the live !!!big up Paul you awesome
Full stop. -emason
I would normally agree, but his lyrics are generic and mundane.

My brother U save life's with this music. So much fuckn LOVE. BEAUTIFUL heart. I would like to thank you

why do people hate hippies? are they too peaceful and compassionate for people or what? i dont get it lol
Everybody do what he feels. Follow your way and accept that other people have their own way.
bartelgrant dude i feel that too, it is an odd feeling. idk if im being too discerning or its my ego? who else feels that way
this is so peaceful
Man keep preaching that beautiful music im in love with the music u make man keep playing on man ✌️📿😇❤️🌈
i wish i had the lyrics to sing along with, love the wisdom, love the spirit of what is better than whats wrong, we got the people and the places, with so many faces, but we aren't receiving these messages, the difference in our necessities, together we will be free, and that is what we should see, to be in the moment and stand tall like the trees, fill with nourishment take in all inspiration and knowledge, wouldn't it be beautiful with laughter and worry not, for the frowns we will turn around and multiply
Mahalo for sharing! Working on some lyric videos soon! Much aloha to you! Be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications so we can stay connected!
