Air bubbles always seem to come up,bringing ink with it,as one cant put ink in without displacing the volume of whats already in there...
I have trouble refilling my pen because the little reservoir is stained by the ink and i can't tell how much ink I need to add. Should I clean out the reservoir first?

How do I open a brand new ink cartridge? It has some sort of plastic inserts inside that I'm not sure how to remove.

I've bought a brand new pen, filled up the cartridge but it still won't write, is this something new pens tend to do? If yes how do i get it to write
I might be too late, but for others who might not know, cap the pen again after you have put ink on the cartridge. Then, shake it in an up and down motion for a good 15-30 secs or until you see the tip of the pen inked.
^correct, shake the pen a few times and try to draw a line, then shake the pen again and repeat :)

You should be able to buy them on specialized art sites, ebay, amazon, etc.
Is this an ordinary ink or specifically for rotring pen?

I did that earlier and most of them just don't work
But why my professor tell us to put oil first? Is it ok or it is required to put oil first in ink reservoir? Cause my tech pen didn't write well. I mean the ink when write is sometimes faded or it looks like its lack of ink when written because of the color isn't black as natural. Sorry I can't explain this well in English but I hope you understand my point. Please answer me ASAP.
The TWSI eco fountain pen uses a small amount of oil on the converter, but these rotring isograph pens never use oil. Just the technical pen ink. :)

how much ink did you fill in? Is it few or too much?
if i am going to do a LOt of drawing i fill it completely. But i recommend filling it half way so that the pen can be cleaned more often, so you dont waste ink :)

i wouldnt use rotring isograph ink for fountain pens.

@@prideless2122 The isographs should have a plastic tube to place the ink in that you fill. They do sell the nibs which doesnt come with the barrel or the plaatic tube. So they sent you an isogrpah with all parts but the plastic tube (reservoir)? Haha that would be hard to use. Maybe if you had an eyedroper dropping ink into it at an exact mathematical rate to prevent ink drying lol.
@@JSheetzArtwork The thing i did was putting ink into a plastictube and glueing it onto the nib, it works.
