@@jakedavis2954 Ciri broke his staff.. where most of his magic were kept, along with the powerful ice spell. In a 1v1 Caranthir would simply freeze Geralt and slit his throat. No, he was not very physicly injured by Ciri, but greatly weakened
What's your build look like? If I get hit twice by those magic blue balls I die even on full health and qith Quen. The only way I defeated this guy was by never getting hit more than once per combo.
Yeah the only potions i have are swallow ( normal ) and thunderbolt so fuck me right? Geez, this game really needs to give more of a focus on the alchemy because i decided to do the main story first because side quests would over level me. Well hip diddly squat because i missed a LOT of alchemy shit thanks to that. Ffs.
You dont even need a single swallow, if you have superrior thunderbold. I killed him on my first try on death march, just using thunderbolt and archgriffin decoction.

This isn't death march, I'm on death march fighting this bastard right now with master crafted gear, two hits and I'm dead.. this guys is taken multiple hits and barely losing health

That's death march, I spent a lot of time leveling up and getting the best armor before fighting. Also the alchemy/potion set-up is by far the strongest, giving me a huge health boost.
Sander Konso the armor it’s self cannot do that much ursine mastercrafted , the alchemy and potion makes sense cause if you go with alchemy tree you are too strong , I played with exactly the same armor and that blue ball combo I was dead
@@panagiotisbamioglou7900 i had to go back and buy the potion to restart my stats at one point to invest heavily in the alchemy tree. The basic strength/magic tree proved to be too weak and I could even beat the first boss
@@panagiotisbamioglou7900 yeah, the problem is that alchemy build gets way too strong in endgame. I didn't have that much problem defeating the Toad and the vampire at the end of BnW.

Because Eredin is nothing more than a good leader. Caranthir is actually meant to be the most powerful.

Caranthir was the hardest one of the wild hunt bosses. Then Imlerith, and then Eredin last
MR. Nobody caranthir was the most powerful out of any of the wild hunt, Avallach even said as such basically, he bested Ciri but could not best Geralt

I don't bother engaging the elementals; let Caranthir take out his own summoned elementals; use them as shields from that ice missle.

Enhanced swallow really helped me a lot.
Was trying all the other potions without luck.

It all depends of your character skill build and armors. The alchemy build is far superior to all others.

What armor are you using? And where can I find superior swallow?
Armor is Ursine, and it seems the build is Heavy Attack focused.

+huzi37709 I am playing on the hardest difficulty, but once you go full alchemy, you become much stronger. I also have the best armours.
as do i and i still get hit twice and dead sometimes even through fully upgraded queen and still get intsa killed so yeah idk about this
Maybe your level is too low. It should be a bit higher than the recommended level :)

But this is the 1st playthrough not NG+, if the elementals have skulls then you started the quest with a lower level than recommended.

Sander Konso that’s true my build is also fast attack with full alchemy 88 level and just finish NG+ I got the 2 dlcs also left to get 100 level
