You said during the stream that you like to do these walks to take those who might not be able to travel to Japan along with you on your journeys...And I'm one of those people. I may never see these wonderful places in person, but I am SUPER grateful for your streams and videos. So honestly, thank you! Also: shout out to your umbrella for its great service. May it rest in pieces now.
Japan is probably one of the few countries that look fantastic even in rainy weather. I don't know why, but this rain makes every color look so much more vibrant (way more than if the sun was shining). And at 1:44:35 right next to the road below the shrine is an old bridge ruin which looks quite beautiful.
Norm, I love watching your videos and exploring Japan through your eyes! I enraptured with Japan the more I watch your presentations. I cannot imagine or believe that I will ever be able to visit Japan in this lifetime but I cannot tell you how much it means to me to see Japan through your travels. I send you a very heartfelt thanks for providing me the opportunity to visit Japan through your eyes. Japan is truly an enchanted land devoted to beauty, nature and the aesthetics of living. Your presentations are deeply appreciated more than you can imagine! With Warmest Regards, Armando
Those misty fog laden mountains are to die for. I'm a rain person, so these almost two hours were an awesome way to start out the morning. Taking the back streets and the lesser traveled paths is what keeps me coming back again and again. Ok, well that and the enthusiasm from Oowee guy, then again that enthusiasm is contagious.
Stunning place with the Misty Mountains, the beautiful Shrines, the rustic small Town and the calm rainy atmosphere. I think the last couple of Streams really delivered a amazing Adventure espacialy with contrast of the rainy Mountain town and the sunny beach Region and before that the walk through the rainy Shrine.
Loved this part of Japan . Appreciate your efforts for sharing this lovely scenic video . Greetings from India . Brilliant , this video is one of the best video of Japan .
@Tokyo Lens Explore thank you so much for this wonderful back to back to back livestreaming and premier holiday. It's made it easier to catch your streams live for a bit...and getting to see some of the great people here day after day really adds to the community here! Ikeda is beautiful, that mist coming off the mountains was gorgeous! As always, grateful for you sharing it with us!
Hello from Moldova. We are very far away from our dream country Japan and your videos help experience the adventures from our homes. Thank you soo much. You are the only youtuber who is brave enough to go exploring though the bear lands . God bless you !
The rain makes the narrow Japanese streets so much more cool looking and cozy. Would love to do it one day as well, hell I wish. Greetings from Slovakia.
Thoroughly entertained, Norm. I watched from start to finish and I'm already eager for your next adventure. Maybe carry a 6-pack of umbrellas next time.
Drat -- I caught the first one of these streams REALLY live, and the rest on re-play. But that's okay, always an awesome hangout vibe anyways! Beautiful, thank you, Norm! 😊❤❤
Awesome livestream as always Norm. These mountain walking livestreams are the best I’ve always been more of a mountain person than an ocean person I always look forward to your videos and livestreams keep up the great work Norm.
Really enjoying this million second series--clever concept as usual--sounds like you are really busy these days--I'm watching while building jewelry in my studio in Austin Texas--thanks for your effort and drive producing these video---Merlyn (ATX)
Today’s rain walk was an another beautiful livestream! Thank you so much Norm for getting up super early, hiking mountain paths and stairs with a broken umbrella…🥹🌂💔looking forward to the next one in 24h!!(excited already)
Always a delight when I see a notif that one of your videos has popped up. This is such a vibe! Watching you while I work makes the day relaxing. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this and share with the rest of us your wonderful adventurers, and we will see you real soon, in the next live stream! Hope to catch it!!
Hello from Canada. I just discovered your channel and want to thank you for the amazing tours. I have seen people stream their visits in Japan but this is the first channel I've seen that really shows the raw beauty of so many places. As a person unable to travel I throughly enjoy your videos.
So nice, the mountain paths, the sound of nature, rain, so relaxing, thank you Norm, it helps so much with my solitude and my overthinking mind, beautiful videos as always, please do regular running and being chased by viewers, is fun and nice way to interact with your viewers 😊, the rain sounds are amazing probably cause it's amplified by the raindrops touching the umbrella which works perfectly 👌
What an awesome walk and cute bits of bamboo. Loved the missed in the mountains. The little town looks so cute. Please get yourself a new umbrella 🌂 😂 enjoy the rest of your walks!
What a stunning location. Those clouds just hugging and cascading down the mountains almost makes it seem like a fairytale place. Will definetively add this to the list whenever my next trip comes up. Thank you so much for sharing this gem !
Finally had some time to binge your live streams. So much fun and amazing places. Followed your walk through this village with google maps after I found out where you were, started with you by the dam. So much fun! The shrine up on the hill was absolutely beautiful! I hope you'll find a new umbrella.
Watching from Loxahatchee, Florida! Thank you for sharing your adventures and travels in Japan. I wish one day to be able to visit Japan but if I never get to at least it feels like I have. I personally love to find the more off grid trails here in Florida. I usually use maps to search the area and have found some great areas to see wildlife and beautiful scenery. Your style of traveling and going through trails feels like how I go through trails. Like the other video with the stick and the spider webs I was already telling the screen “you need a stick”and then you grab the stick. 😆 Love your videos and the new ideas you come up with for your channels! Much love from Florida! 💝😃
I'm still definitely more of a nature walk person, so the beginning of this was more my speed. But, if we *are* walking in town, the tiny backstreets are absolutely better. I've worked on getting myself rain gear that I am comfortable in so that I don't shy away from all nature on rainy days.
Hi Norm, thank you so much for taking us along on this walk. It was very enjoyable and relaxing. The mountain scenery is absolutely gorgeous, especially with the clouds and mist rolling through them. I also particularly enjoyed your narration throughout. Sending good vibes watching from South Africa 🇿🇦
I am enjoying your 1 million seconds videos through Japan so much. Thank you from Pine Ridge, FL located on the western Gulf Coast of Florida known as the Nature Coast. I am a nisei who has never been to Japan so I am relishing your content. Thank you so much!
Hey Norm! Amazing adventure! These walks have been so nice to see, so very relaxing. The sounds of the rain are so peaceful. I'll be sad when the 1,000,000 seconds through japan is over but i know I speak for everyone when i say I can not wait for the 2,000,000 seconds through japan.
It has been really amazing to see all these travels you're doing, your energy and the energy of the places you go are beautiful, thank you for making these videos
This was spectacular Norm those winding roads ,high mountains with the rain hitting just right at an angle.... you can see the light reflecting off the rain... kinda envious of the rain sitting here typing this in 32 degree heat.. sleepless lol..
I love vicariously walking the streets of these tiny Japanese towns with you! Really lovely to have something relaxing to watch while I finish my masters :)
Long time watcher, rare commenter, i really wish the rain didn't make your life harder because Japan is just one of those places both in the concrete jungle and out in the countryside that just looks better when it's raining. Some kind of mystery and magic in it that i just adore, some travel in hopes of nice weather and leisure, i can only hope it rains plenty when i do eventually get there. helps that i'm the sort that enjoys being out in the rain.
I'm watching a month late because my job takes away my former RUclips time. I'm in South Carolina and I love your content. I don't think I'll ever make it to Japan but your content helps.
i am so envious...i love the beautyfull quiete Places u Visit..would love to live there.... keep up the good Work and we need more Explorations with Sherry :D
Hey, I finally joined the patreon! My first one ever.... Japan is a bucket list destination for me, but thanks to creators like you I can be there virtually. Love your content here, and on the "main" channel.
This area looks so beautiful. Makes me want to visit. Feel like I could live there, even. This video also feels a lot more silly than other videos I've seen. Sneezing, and umbrella breaking, and -- I too am feeling pretty "uii!" 😆I love rain, and I'm from Manitoba. So hi from home country. That last shrine was a pretty great view point. Lovely.
Finally got a chance to catch up on this one and cannot wait to get to explore this area for myself next year, especially the kazurabashi (even though 35km was probably a little bit far away for this live stream!)
I got to see a good chunk of the end of the stream (including all the fake outs lol) and I'm so happy as I haven't been able to see many live yet. Thank you for what you do and please take care of yourself - you're in rainy weather all the time it seems!
enjoying watching all these vids and nope not again live but always cool i was with kid for mothers day so watched what she wanted to lol... have a good day today from central new york finger lakes ...
Great way to have an adventure. i have been on a couple trips around the world but ,because of mobility issues I don't think I'll make it out quite that far thanks for the front row seat.
That was a really lovely walk, Norm. I like rain, which is a good thing since I live in Vancouver, and it rains a lot here. I miss Japan so much. Hopefully, I will visit again one day.
I'm not sure that I have seen an area yet that you've shown us that wasn't gorgeous. Love the rain! Mabe because living in the desert we don't get rain. We haven't had the normal summer monsoons for years! So I'm really missing rain. Luckily, in 5 years I'll be moving to Georgia and they'll have plenty of rain for me. 😊 Sending love from the Southern California desert 🏜 🎉❤
I do remember her haha wow that was before I subscribed, I started watching your channels just over a year ago I started with one of the tiny apartments videos
I actually got a hunting rifle AB3 Browning in 7 mm Remington Magnum made in Kochi ,SHIKOKU Japan. Smooth action and a Top notch rifle. Price $1300. I will never ever sell it to much of sentimental value.
I hope you went back to the Pinokio bakery and treated yourself to something warm! This stream has really made me want to get an illustration of you as Link and instead of a sword you get an umbrella 😁All the "HYA" with the umbrella shooting out has me all in the giggles
Thank you all SO MUCH for joining
Did you have a favourite spot on today’s walk?
And where do you think we will be tomorrow?

If you ever get the chance, check out Sadamisaki. Whole area is beautiful. Underrated part of the already underrated Shikoku.

Currently from Moorpark, California USA
absolutely spoiled by another calming rain walk. RIP umbrella-chan though.
Haha! The secret endings feel very clandestine and a bit naughty! 😂 Loving these videos, even though I don't always manage to catch the live streams.
Nice video 📹 watching from Kathmandu nepal. 🇳🇵🙏🙏🙏🇳🇵
I remember Ieaka she took yourself and Yohtan to get the fresh mountain spring water .
Thank you again, Norm!
Not that I don't enjoy the rainy day vibes, but maybe hang a teruteru bouzu from your gimble... for sunny weather...?😊
Also every time you say in the mountains it reminds me of the song yo cham sang lol
