VERY! Thorough bro.... I appreciate the information because i needed that one last mathematical equation to put in my mind to figure it all out...What did it was the grain transition chart from 17 to 22 caliber, Now i know what to perspective to use. I extended my barrel on a rifled handgun to increased the velocity to push a heavier grain pellet...I threw a lot of rocks and stones in my day and i would chose them exactly how we choose pellets as far as the result i wanted to achieve lol thanks.

I am mostly into .177 co2 replica airpistols myself. But it has come very clear throughout the years how different guns and magazine systems use better different style, weight and brands of pellets. My mostly used pellet though probably is the smooth skirted 7gr RWS Club. Never shot a JSB pellet yet - even though they seem to be very used by many airgun enthusiasts. Probably when I get into PCPs..😁

I just got a Sig Sauer model 226 and I’ve heard and seen videos saying I need to use good pellets to keep it from jamming. I had some very old Gammo’s left from an air pistol I use to have so I loaded up and shot about 25 pellets. I didn’t have any jamming issues but I did have about 8 of those 25 that stayed in the clip and didn’t fire…so I need to know what brand I should be buying to avoid troubles,,,thanks ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

I wasn't aware that 22 had more types of pellets than a 177.
.177 cal has a wide variety and types, quite a few are very similar to the .22 cal. .177 cal is more popular with kids and beginners. .22 cal is more popular with adults or hunters.
Same here. Where I'm at they usually carry one .22 pellet on the shelves, but more .177 than you can choose from.
I’ve known for years buddy 22 have a huge selection compared with 177. Easy solution is to have both.
@@RichardAmmo1they’re are very similar between .177 and .22 almost to the point where it doesn’t matter. .177 isn’t for beginners or children

Hi, would like you to do one on different ways to carry ammo for different air guns. On all my 2240, brake barrels, and Airforce models I glue a pellet pen to the side by the breach or spring/gas piston and stock. New options any one has helps. Thanks.

Hi Chris, I would love to know best fit pallet for long rage target shooting, usually 300f to 450f (100 - 150m) and net pallet for rabbit hunting at 250f (~75m).
the gun I am using is Diana 350 magnum .22 springer

Chris, how about a video on how to tune your rifle according to the grain. For example a 40 grin and a 50 grain running on the same power level will have different results. Does a particular grain have a more accurate velocity vs another?

I have a hatsun blitz 30cal. And a 30 cal. Sk19 on order there what I was wondering are slugs or pellets better for each gun and what grain I'll be hunting rabbits and squirrels mostly and do you think that they are enough gun to shoot pig and coyotes and if so what would you recommend

i have a ruger max impact elite in .22 and a crosman f4 in .177. any recommendations, as far as pellets? so far i have shot crosman hollow points, in both calibers, and the gamo rockets, in the .22. so far, so good, but hey... always looking to improve! i am also curious, if anyone knows the rifling twist rates, of these guns. thanks for the video!
I have an f4 and it eats pretty much all the pellets I feed it I use h& n hornets and barracuda hunters Wich are heavy they are great for hunting and I use feild target trophy's for plinking Wich are a bit lighter don't get me wrong they are a good pellet for hunting also and are very accurate out of my gun so now I just stock up in those 3 just remember every gun will shoot different just try alot of pellets till u find the right ones yr gun may not like the pellets my gun likes H& N are a well maide pellet havnt had a problem with them and I have had thousands of rounds

A good mid weight pellet will work well. Something 14 to 16 grain would likely do best.

tell them get an hw80 in .177. and some jsb 8.4 grain or h&n field target trophy 8.6 grain with 6x18 power mildot scope front ao. and you'll have more fun than you can imagine.

Go with one of the JSB Exacts or Hades for pellets. NSA has several slugs to try. Maybe grab a sampler pack.

Probably a lighter JSB Exact or a H&N Field Target Trophy.
What cal/gr would you advise for hunting coyote at max 40 meters?
.25 cal with a good PCP and a good 30-40+ grain pellet. .30 cal with a 45 grain polymag will be good if it has decent power. anything over and a solid pellet will smoke a coyote.

I believe the lead law in Cal. only applies to fire arms. & they changed the smallest legal calibur for Turkey from .20 .177 some time in the last 10(ish) years.

How do I determine which grain pellet a new pellet gun needs?
Ultimately, trial and error. But you can narrow it down with math. You are aiming for pellets to fly at about 880-950 ideally. Take your guns energy and work backwards (we have calculators online) to find the pellets/weights in the ideal range.

Got lucky I have 2 hatsan flash carbines huma regulated both of them love the crosman premiere 14.3 hp. 1of my guns will shoot .400" @ 50yds. The other .600"@50yds. with them. And they are cheap pellets. Have tried more expensive ones but these guns love the crosmans. None of the other pellets will shoot like this in them.

I use a .177. I hit a horse fly at 30 yards off sand bags using a fixed barrel,cock8ng mechanism under the barrel which is accurate
Personally I have been using a pump style rifle rated for 1200fps at .177cal. I shoot 25, 35, and 45yd groups with the ladder having a target of 3x3in. I find that my particular gun favors the H&N Silver Point on consistency. The power tends to throw the lighter pellets up quite a bit higher forcing me to pump it less and then I worry about penetration. We have gotten a few pests out of the strawberry garden this year, however I still wonder about upgrading to the new gamo swarm. 🤔
The gammo maxxim swarm .22 10x is a lot of fun for target shooting I haven't tried any hunting yet tho

Honestly different ammo or gun different results Gamo flat top pellets from Crosman 1377 shoots perfectly,that’s the best suitable for for my 1377 ,I tried 4 different kinds and I wasn’t impressed.1322 likes Crosman hollow point at 8 pumps. To say .177 is less powerful is not strictly true. For instance 30 ft / lbs is 30 ft / lbs regardless of .177 or .22

@@WearthH That's not how muzzle energy works. Yes they would both hit you with equal force if the foot pounds of energy was the same. Would you rather get hit in the head by a brick travelling at 20mph or a small pebble travelling at 90mph, both have the same amount of force. Both are bad, both hurt.
