There is no such thing as "The word of god" only the word of "men". God cannot write books. Gods are human concepts/ideas - that's it, and like all bad ideas they will have their day.

***** people have been believing in God since time immemorial. İf it was an idea,or a bad idea as you put it, it would have died by now. Even you , obliviously acknowledged His All mighty existence with what you just wrote above and i quote you,''God cannot write books''. Just remember you are going to stay in the grave more than you lived on earth. And you'll live eternally when you wake up again. Beware of hell fire where people will never die nor live in it. We are certainly from Allah and to him we shall return. My friend ,My brother in humanity, as we are all sons of Adam, even from an economical standpoint, it is better to invest yourself in islam for a couple of years of your worldly life for the hearafter than live as you desire in this world at the cost of the here after which is as long as eternity. I in vite you to islam :)

True humans have long believed in gods. All were invented. Thor, Amon Ra, Zeus, El, Tlaloc + many thousands of Earth, Rain Fire gods etc. As for the grave, ask yourself before you were born was it any amount of time? did you suffer? NO. When we die we return to this same eternal state. Eternity has nothing to do with time. It is outside to time.Hell, like heaven, is another human concept usually used to install fear. There is not literal place called hell. You can test this by looking for it on google maps. You know there is no Allah. Allah can literally do nothing. Test this by asking this most merciful and passionate god to stop others killing in his name. Surely the greatest insult! Or to heal the sick. It won't literally happen since Allah is no more than a made up ideal like all of mankind gods.
I do actually study the Quran / Bible and other religious texts. I agree with you on one point. What we have in common is our humanity. Live now - we are NO TIME dead.
      As-salamu alaykum

***** the way you study is different, there is where the problem arises. Allah leaves murderers to live for reasons incomprehensible to humans, but I can tell you some, Among his 99 names is the forbearer, so He will wait. Number two is that He waits for them to repent. If He were to destroy people immediately after the commit a sin, there would be no one left on earth. That why, among his 99 names is ''The most Merciful''.
He makes people sick so that he tests the people who have the financial power to help heal the sick . The way i studied Islam and the way you studied it is way different. We studied the rationales behind every single verse and found its flawless wisdom. That I think is where your problems arise.
By the way, I couldn't help but notice you contradicting yourself again. And I quote you, '' You know there is no Allah. Allah can literally do nothing''. The first sentence disprove His existence, the second one approves it but states his incapability.

    Questions:
1- Qur'an teaches peace and freedom of opinion. I agree. But why do some Islamic countries have the "death for apostasy" law?
2- If those Islamic countries have made up the "death for apostasy" law on their own and are misrepresenting Qur'an, then isn't it the responsibility of Muslims to persuade them to stop misrepresenting Qur'an by abolishing the "death for apostasy" law?
3- Wouldn't be easier to promote Islam in non-Islamic countries when no "death for apostasy" law exists in the currently Islamic countries?
4- What guarantees that promoting a peaceful Islam in a non-Islamic country will not eventually lead to "death for apostasy" law after it becomes an Islamic country?

    • @zaydmia5097
      @zaydmia5097 11 лет назад +13

They misinterpreted a statement of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The "death for apostasy" was made because in the early days of Islam it was a war on the state and the "apostates" apostatized because they did not want to follow the law and become the leaders of the Caliphate unjustly.

But some Islamic countries still have the "death for apostasy" laws in place today. Are you saying the whole country misinterpreted the statement and they have not yet realized that they misinterpreted the statement?

Islam has death penalty for apostasy and it's procedure is if one muslim converts to some other religion. Then scholars of islam will say to that man to come back to islam if you will not come back then argue with us and let's have a discussion to find which religion is true, I mean that which religion is valid to be followed. If he can prove that the new religion is better then the new religion is valid to be followed but if can't then the scholars of islam will prove to him that islam is the only valid true religion which is must to be followed to go to paradise in the Hereafter. Islam is the only religion which can answer all the questions which can come in your mind. The scholars will convince him for three days to take him back to islam. And if he doesn't come he will be sentenced to death penalty. All those are bullying on Islam are those who don't know about islam and whoever gain the true knowledge of islam converts to islam. Just search and listen to those who converted to islam are the highly educated intelligent men in Europe and America and those converted to some other religion from islam they are those who are uneducated and those who don't have the knowledge of Islam. So my friend feel the difference.

      @TheYourtuber1 11 лет назад +8

Hello, I really appreciate you for asking questions rather than badmouthing like some others on here. Personally, I would recommend that you actually do some more research on this yourself as it might help you come up with an idea of why it exists. However, I will try to answer your question and if it makes sense to you great! if not, well no one can change that.
First let me start off by explaining what this law really is and why it is in place in Islamic states. The "death for apostasy" law came into use when atheists and polytheists at the time of the holy prophet(pbuh) used to seemingly convert to Islam and then leave Islam just to spread hate and denounce it amongst the masses. “And a section of the people of Book says, ‘believe at day-break in what has been sent down to those who believe and deny at the day-end; perhaps they may turn away.’” (Qur’an 3:72). They did this because they had extreme animosity towards the prophet(pbuh) they did not like that the Holy Prophet(pbuh) was changing their wild ways and showing them decency, gratefulness etc. Another important thing that I want to mention is that this law only comes into affect when the apostasy becomes public. This is where your freedom of thinking and freedom of opinion/expression separate. You have no limits freedom of thought, however when you start taking action on it it becomes your deed and hence if you become apostate and keep to yourself this law does not apply, if you go out in the public denouncing Islam; spreading lies, hate and encouraging others around you to leave the religion, it results in this law being applied.
1)You are absolutely correct, Islam does teach peace and freedom of opinion, however, freedom of opinion/expression has to remain within the confines of the state in which you reside. For instance, if you are in a proper Islamic state you have to go by their laws, if you are in a western state, you have to follow their laws. The Islamic countries have to keep this law since it is told by the Holy Quran.
2)No these Islamic countries have not made up this law, hence no Muslim denies it because they themselves know it exists.
3)Im not sure I understand this question.. please do reply to me with a clearer explanation.
4)Who says non-Islamic countries will become Islamic countries so soon? or ever? It is not like Islam is being spread and Muslims are trying to take over each and every country..... Come on.
Just to answer your question though.. if a country does "decide" to become an Islamic country it will definitely have the "death for apostasy" law. No guarantee that it will not.
I know to an outsider it might seem very opressive and destructive of the freedom of a person, but when you get to know of the reasoning and conditions of this law it becomes very clear. Remember that Islam is a very "just" religion so every action is counted for. Also, don't just get stuck looking at Islam through this law... It is a very small detail compared to what the whole of Islam actually is.

@@mr_ander_3989 You obviously didn't dissect islam very well.
      (1) You refer to quran 5:32 to prove islam does not support terrorism? The verse is:
"That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life-unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land-it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity". - Muslims love quoting this verse without understanding it. It DOES NOT APPLY TO MUSLIMS. It applies to the 'CHILDREN OF ISRAEL'. The children of Israel are NOT MUSLIMS, they are jews.
If you had bothered to read the very next verse (5:33), you'd have seen this peaceful gem:
"Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides, or exile from the land."
One might ask: 'What does spreading mischief mean?' Well thankfully, the Quran elaborates, in surah 4:89 it says:
"They wish you would disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so you may all be alike. So do not take them as allies unless they emigrate in the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them" - so the quran orders the execution of apostates who leave islam and try to convince others to do the same.
      (2) You same some rubbish about chopping off hands depending on the society we live in. The Quran is supposed to be perfect is it not? So don't tell me following the quran depends on what society you live in. The society you live in does not change the inherent immorality of the quran's commandments.

These are, as @Dragon_Gaming said, meant for war times. If someone is attacking you you fight back so you don't, uhh, die? Quran 8:12, in its entirety, is
"[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."
We wish to be strong in the face of opposition. Words of encouragement are not signs of a war-mongering religion.
"And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
I simply can't believe that you left that last part out. IF THEY REPENT YOU FORGIVE. Such a horrible religion, how could they forgive and release prisoners that apologize? A non-peaceful religion would not have 4 whole months where you are not allowed to be non-peaceful (sacred months). Don' just point at things you have to look at context as well.
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled."
Fight against the non-Muslims in war times, how unexpected. Of course YOU SHOULD FIGHT YOUR ENEMY. If they attack you attack back.
"It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allah dislike it."
What kind of religion says it ISN'T the true religion. Christians believe that they are "the" faith. Jews believe THEY are "the" faith. Hindus believe they are "the" faith. Muslims believe they are "the" faith. What's non-peaceful about that?
" O Prophet, fight against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination."
Be harsh upon your enemies in wartime, we are not pacifist, we use violence is certain contexts like Mehdi Hasan said.

The Armenian genocide was not based on religious beliefs, it was a conspiracy by the famously incompetent Enver Pasha to blame the Armenians for his poor military skills. There was a whole propaganda campaign in the Ottoman Empire, accusing the Armenians of conspiring with the Russians to sabotage the Ottomans. That was obviously not true and I would not expect anything else from current and future politicians who follow a Nationalist ideology.

      Islam is
a relgion of good values and peace; the main concept of Islam based on :mercy, peace and forgiveness.
As regarding, that there are 100 verses or references In Quran Indicate that Islam is not peaceful religion, that really misconception and totally untrue
T have read Quran multiple time with analytical way throughout ten years, I have found out that any mention of using violence was only as a defense "a defensive war " when aggression against Muslims happened at the time of the messenger Mohammad, or else Islam was obliterated at its cradle.
As for the narrative saying :"Mohammed commanded to fight people till they
Believe", that saying Contradict with Quran verses so that keep to Quran verses and not be confused by the narrative of the extremists who take the Quranic Verses out of the context distorting the message of the peaceful and merciful religion ;Islam.
God says : O Mohammad, l have sent you only to be mercy for mankind and other creatures " verse no. 21, Chapter no. 107.
Verse no 256 chapter no. 1- says :
" No coercion in accepting religion, it is" now the truth (Islam) has been distinguished from false relgion ".
      Chapter 109 verse no. 6
      Say (Muhammad) to disbelievers :
" you have your religion and I have my religion "
As for women right according to Islam religion they more powerful in Islam than other religions and they accept Islam much more than men,
The first person accepted Islam was "his boss" a powerful woman ( Muhammad 's wife ;khadiga)
      As for chopping hand, flogging
      This punishment was made difficult
To put in force and no longer relevant according to Islam concept.
As for stoning, stoning not mentioned in Quran.
      Quran revealed in Arabic language
The words of Quran in itself miracle ;unmatched and unrivaled so that its difficult to translate ; each one word packed with meanings

Muhammed- The Islamic prophet was a violent warlord.
"The Prophet had suddenly attacked Bani Mustaliq without warning while they were heedless and their cattle were being watered at the places of water. Their fighting men were killed and their women and children were taken as captives" (Bukhari 46:717)
Although there are many reliable accounts from the Hadith and Sira that mention the Mustaliq grazing cattle, not one mentions Muhammad making any effort at peacemaking. In this case, Muhammad's men raped the women (with his approval) after slaughtering the men (Sahih Muslim 3371). What does raping a female captive have to do with self-defense?
In many situations, Muhammad waged war for the purpose of revenge, such as the attack on the Lihyan, in which the people were clearly not prepared for war and saved themselves only by fleeing into the hills (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 718). Muhammad also attacked the people of Taif as soon as he had the opportunity to avenge their rejection of him (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 280 & 872).
Also disproving the myth that Muhammad only fought in self-defense is the account of his first attack on the Christians. There was no compelling reason for him to send an army to Muta (in Syria, where they met with disaster at the hands of the Byzantines). Had this been a matter of self-defense, then the enemy would surely have followed the routed army back to Arabia, but this was not the case (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 791).
Near the end of his life, the prophet of Islam directed military campaigns for the mere purpose of spreading Islamic rule. He knew that some cities would resist and others would not. He left instructions to his people for dealing with each case:
"The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: If you come to a township (which has surrendered without a formal war) and stay therein, you have a share (that will be in the form of an award) in (the properties obtained from) it. If a township disobeys Allah and His Messenger (and actually fights against the Muslims) one-fifth of the booty seized therefrom is for Allah and His Apostle and the rest is for you." (Sahih Muslim 4346)
As can be seen, those who were not at war with the Muslims are to be subjugated anyway, and their property seized. The only distinguishing factor is the extent of Muslim entitlement following the victory.

These are ahadith that you are quoting....they're not even authentic...I don't care if they are considered "sahih". Mohammad even said himself that "no one is to write anything down except the Qur'an." The Qur'an itself warns people to not follow any other narrations (ahadith) except what is in the Qur'an.
Of course hadiths displays bloodshed and so forth. Hadiths are fabrications invented by the method of the chinese whisper style. They were created to give power and political stance by using religion as a tool.
I'm aware that you didn't use a single Qur'an verse...since of course no one can truly find anything that established the fact that it is teachings of evil. Especially when the Qur'an gives justification why certain tribes had to be destroyed, due to their tyranny and oppression over their own people. Only the righteous and pious people were spared..those that instill good and forbid evil.

I see in the 'About' section that 286 voted that Islam is a religion of peace and 168 voted that Islam is NOT a religion of peace. My understanding is also that this event is one held by the prestigious Oxford University. I see this as evidence that leftists have truly destroyed some if not all of the great educational institutions. Because this 'issue' is not actually a truly debatable one. To be of the opinion that Islam is peaceful is to be completely ignorant of Islam. From it's founding 'prophet' in the 7th century to the current year of 2014, Islam has been and is a religion of violence, murder, rape, oppression, conquest, intolerance, deception, and destruction. There is so much evidence of this that a 'post' is nowhere close to sufficient as a medium to carry this knowledge. Because there are mountains of material evidence that can be brought to bear. I believe the confusion occurs when we hear the cliché that it is just a tiny fringe group of extremists that make Islam look bad. This is the great lie that is allowing Islam to flourish. As I said I don't have near enough space for all the proofs, but ask yourself this question; how often do you see this question debated with the subject being atheism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, or any other belief system? There is a reason for that........

Look at ISLAMIC history... Islam never gives up what it conquers, be it religion, culture, language or life. Neither does it make apologies or any real effort at moral progress. ISLAM is the least open to dialogue and the most self-absorbed. ISLAM is convinced of its own perfection, yet brutally shuns self-examination and represses criticism.
Let's debate if "islam is a religion of peace?" before MUSLIMS shut down the free flow of information because they can't win in the arena of COMMON SENSE!

    • @francinelast
      @francinelast 11 лет назад +3

Apples and Oranges.... You mustn't compare a religion (Islam), with a geographical area (the West). Compare religions, and in this, extreme religious belief and indoctrination, because very few people who practice Islam, commit crimes such as slavery, imperialism (where?), intolerance, women rights abuses, and warfare (well, Christianity and Judaism would easily win on the warfare front, simply because of their devastating weapons and the number of people they kill with them).
Next: History.... Islam never gives up what it conquers? Do you have any knowledge of Christian territorial history at all? Wasn't America taken from the Native Americans by Christians and never given back? Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Israel????? All these countries are essentially Christian (or Jewish in the case of Israel), "have never given up what they conquered, be it religion, culture, language or life".
Islam is convinced of its own perfection? Well of course, but then so is every other religion in the world. Do you mean, Muslims or the religion? If you mean Muslims, then you are wrong, because there are Muslims that question the doctrines, you just don't hear about them in the Western media.

Francine Last Seriouisly? As a women, you are defending this madness? The same madness that clearly instructs muslim "men" on how to PUNISH and BEAT their wife(s)?? (Quran 4:34). The same religion that plainly says that husbands are “a degree above” wives? The same religion where their “holy” Hadith says that women are intellectually inferior, and that they comprise the majority of Hell’s occupants? Seriously?

    • @ya0sef
      @ya0sef 11 лет назад +2

Ed Z give me one example where islam actually says that women are inferior? ... A man once came to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and asked him "who is the person that should be dearest and closest to me?" Prophet Mohammed replied "Your Mother" , the man said "then who?" , Prophet Mohammed said "Your Mother" , the man said "and then who?" Prophet Mohammed said "Your Mother" the man said "Then who?" Prophet Mohammed finally said "Your Father"... this shows that Islam encourages people (Men or Women) to show their utmost respect to their Mothers who are women... another Hadith says "Heaven is under your Mother's feet" ... and many verses recite to the respect of Women, It'd take me months to post them all over here... The truth is that you are just "islamophobic" like the rest of the people over here.

The ancient scriptures of all the Abrahamic faiths (especially the Old Testament) are full of rape and abuse to women, not just the Quran. In many places in the Bible there are references to "taking a wife". Don't be fooled into thinking that these were voluntary marriages. This first quote clearly shows that murder and force were used to "take" these wives.
      1) Murder, rape, and pillage at Jabesh-gilead (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)
So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.
The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives. But there were not enough women for all of them. The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel. So the Israelite leaders asked, "How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead? There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever. But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God's curse."
Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem. They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, "Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, 'Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn't find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'" So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes.
Obviously these women were repeatedly raped.
      2) Murder, rape and pillage of the Midianites (Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)
They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings - Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba - died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.
Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. "Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. "These are the very ones who followed Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.
Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.
      3) More Murder Rape and Pillage (Deuteronomy 20:10-14)
As you approach a town to attack it, first offer its people terms for peace. If they accept your terms and open the gates to you, then all the people inside will serve you in forced labor. But if they refuse to make peace and prepare to fight, you must attack the town. When the LORD your God hands it over to you, kill every man in the town. But you may keep for yourselves all the women, children, livestock, and other plunder. You may enjoy the spoils of your enemies that the LORD your God has given you.
What kind of God approves of murder, rape, and slavery?
      4) Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)
If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.
What kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer: God.
      5) Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)
If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.
It is clear that God doesn't care about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans "property".
      6) David's Punishment - Polygamy, Rape, Baby Killing, and God's "Forgiveness" (2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB)
Thus says the Lord: 'I will bring evil upon you out of your own house. I will take your wives [plural] while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor. He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight. You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.'
Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan answered David: "The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die." [The child dies seven days later.]
This has got to be one of the sickest quotes of the Bible. God himself brings the completely innocent rape victims to the rapist. And then he kills a child!
      7) Rape of Female Captives (Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NAB)
"When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house. But before she may live there, she must shave her head and pare her nails and lay aside her captive's garb. After she has mourned her father and mother for a full month, you may have relations with her, and you shall be her husband and she shall be your wife. However, if later on you lose your liking for her, you shall give her her freedom, if she wishes it; but you shall not sell her or enslave her, since she was married to you under compulsion."
Once again God approves of forcible rape.
      8) Rape and the Spoils of War (Judges 5:30 NAB)
They must be dividing the spoils they took: there must be a damsel or two for each man, Spoils of dyed cloth as Sisera's spoil, an ornate shawl or two for me in the spoil. (Judges 5:30 NAB)
      9) Sex Slaves (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
      10) God Assists Rape and Plunder (Zechariah 14:1-2 NAB)
Lo, a day shall come for the Lord when the spoils shall be divided in your midst. And I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle: the city shall be taken, houses plundered, women ravished; half of the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be removed from the city. (Zechariah 14:1-2 NAB)

SIR ,, I respect you in your science in physical chemistry ,,, but what ever you say about my religion it's only from your point of view ,,,, don't focus on a small group and say this is ISLAM !!!!!
this group could be found in many religions ,,,, for example :
i could say jesus said "
    Joshua 6:21
21 They devoted the city to the Lord and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it-men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys.
also in Jeremiah 11:22 " therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine."
but because i know the jesus more than you i know that he wasn't ever never shout for blood and killing ,,, so please read more about islam ,,, :) thanks so much for your opinion about islam ,,, that made us really getting closer to our religion :)

Very true, brother. That is why people need to have experience & study something with somebody who is part of that thing, like Islam.
Lack of knowledge creates concern, concern creates fear, fear creates ignorance, & thus a new & unnecessary argument is born. But indeed, no matter what people say whether they like it or not Islam is a true & peaceful religion & Allah is & will always be the greatest.

      Islam is
a relgion of good values and peace; the main concept of Islam based on :mercy, peace and forgiveness.
Please read it carefully, more and more!!!!!!!!!

You see what you want to see. In our times, it is easier to be fooled by the kind of information that comes to us. It's easier for someone to believe that sikhism is a peaceful religion, because of the acts of the believers. But I am sure that there could be loopholes and some faulty believers too. History speaks for itself.
When it comes to religion, all of them are the same: they talk about the same principles and the way of life. Almost all start with the most basic axiom: God is one. So it boils down to how people interpret the teachings and more than that, how well are those interpretations broadcasted.

@@kiranthomas5944 The religion of Islam has been degraded and vilified by those who seem to believe that they have a better understanding of the religion, compared to the consensus of scholars for the past 1440 years. These misguided individuals cite a verse here and there which they believe to be violent in the sense that the verses endorse violence against innocents. They conveniently or better to say, deliberately leave out the historical context regarding why and when these verses were revealed. When one engages with them, correcting their misunderstanding of these verse(s), they often accuse us of ‘cherry-picking’!
      1. Introduction
Some claim that the verse (Q. 9:29) endorses and ‘sanctions Muslims to kill innocent Christians and Jews’. This is simply not true. I undertook the task to investigate the verse (Q. 9:29) as a result of some critics misusing and twisting the verse to mean something it has never intended to say. It is only appropriate to respond to their claims, given the fact that, not even Prophet Muhammed (p) interpreted it as such during his own life.
      2. Background
It is agreed by some of the earliest classical to modern commentators on the Quran that this verse (Q. 9:29) was revealed concerning the expedition to Tabuk, to face the Byzantine (Roman) Empire’s army (Mujahid Ibn Jabr (645-722 AD), Hud b. Muhakkam Hawwari [1], Al-Tabari (838-923 AD) [2], Baghawi (1044-1122 AD), and Ibn Kathir (1301-1373 AD)).
      3. The Verse - Historical Context
Let us read the verse [Muhammed Asad Translation]:
“[And] fight against those who - despite having been vouchsafed revelation [a foretime] - do not [truly] believe either in God or the Last Day, and do not consider forbidden that which God and His Apostle have forbidden, and do not follow the religion of truth [which God has enjoined upon them] till they [agree to] pay the exemption tax with a willing hand, after having been humbled [in war].” - Qur’an 9:29
So, the verse tells Muhammed (PBUH) to fight against those who were revealed previous scripture. Who does the verse refer to? As mentioned previously, some of the earliest Islamic exegesis on the Quran says that the verse (9:29) was revealed concerning the Tabuk expedition.
The Hadith, collections of reports from what Prophet Muhammed (pbup) said, approved off, or sometimes what the Companions of the Prophet (pbup) said. According to Sahih Muslim (Hadith) and Riyad us-Saliheen, they report to us that the Tabuk expedition was undertaken as a result of the impending army of the Byzantine (Romans) who were advancing on the Syrian border for war. Sahih Muslim:
“I never remained behind Allah’s Messenger from any expedition which he undertook except the Battle of Tabuk and that of the Battle of Badr. So far as the Battle of Badr is concerned, nobody was blamed for remaining behind as Allah’s Messenger and the Muslims (did not set out for attack but for waylaying) the caravan of the Quraish, but it was Allah Who made them confront their enemies without their intention (to do so). I had the honor to be with Allah’s Messenger on the night of ‘Aqaba when we pledged our allegiance to Islam and it was dearer to me than my participation in the Battle of Badr, although Badr was more popular amongst people as compared with that (Tabuk). And this is my story of remaining back from Allah’s Messenger on the occasion of the Battle of TABUK. Never did I possess means enough and (my circumstances) more favorable than at the occasion of this expedition. And, by Allah, I had never before this expedition simultaneously in my possession two rides. Allah’s Messenger set out for this expedition in the extremely hot season; the journey was long and the land (which he and his army had to cover) was waterless and HE HAD TO CONFRONT A LARGE ARMY, so he informed the Muslims about the actual situation (they had to face), so that they should adequately equip themselves for this expedition, and he also told them the destination where he intended to go. …” (Sahih Muslim Book 37, Hadith 6670)
      Riyad as-Salihin:
“Abdullah bin Ka’b, who served as the guide of Ka’b bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) when he became blind, narrated: I heard Ka’b bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) narrating the story of his remaining behind instead of joining Messenger of Allah when he left for the battle of Tabuk. Ka’b said: “I accompanied Messenger of Allah in every expedition which he undertook excepting the battle of Tabuk and the battle of Badr. As for the battle of Badr, nobody was blamed for remaining behind as Messenger of Allah and the Muslims, when they set out, had in mind only to intercept the caravan of the Quraish. Allah made them confront their enemies unexpectedly. I had the honor of being with Messenger of Allah on the night of ‘Aqabah when we pledged our allegiance to Islam and it was dearer to me than participating in the battle of Badr, although Badr was more well-known among the people than that. And this is the account of my staying behind from the battle of TABUK. I never had better mean and more favorable circumstances than at the time of this expedition. And by Allah, I had never before possessed two riding-camels as I did during the time of this expedition. Whenever the Messenger of Allah decided to go on a campaign, he would not disclose his real destination till the last moment (of departure). But on this expedition, he set out in extremely hot weather; the journey was long and the terrain was a waterless desert; and HE HAD TO FACE A STRONG ARMY, so he informed the Muslims about the actual position so that they should make full preparation for the campaign.” (Riyad as-Salihin Book 1, Hadith 21)
Notice, in the above two reports we read that the Byzantine army was already there, ready, and equipped to go to war. These following reports (below) also shed information that news had reached the Muslims that the Ghassanid tribe, which was part of the Byzantine (Roman) empire were preparing to attack the Muslim community.
      Sahih al-Bukhari:
“… I left her (and went home). At that time, I had a friend from the Ansar who used to bring news (from the Prophet) in case of my absence, and I used to bring him the news if he was absent. In those days we were afraid of one of the kings of GHASSANID TRIBE. We heard that he INTENDED TO MOVE AND ATTACK US, so fear filled our hearts because of that. (One day) my Ansari friend unexpectedly knocked at my door, and said, “Open Open!’ I said, ‘Has the king of Ghassan come?’ He said, ‘No, but something worse; God’s Messenger has isolated himself from his wives.’ …” (Sahih al-Bukhari volume 6, Book 60, Hadith 435)
      Sahih Muslim:
“I had a friend from the Ansar. When I had been absent (from the company of the Prophet) he used to bring me the news and when he had been absent I used to bring him the news, and at that time we dreaded a KING OF GHASSAN. It was mentioned to us that he INTENDED TO ATTACK US, AND OUR MINDS WERE HAUNTED BY HIM. My friend, the Ansari, came to me, and he knocked at the door and said: Open it, open it. I said: Has the Ghassanid come? He said: (The matter is) more serious than that. The Messenger of Allah has separated himself from his wives. …” (Sahih Muslim Book 9, Hadith 3508)
      Jami at-Tirmidhi:
“‘My house was in Al-Awali among those of Banu Umayya, and I had a neighbor among the Ansar, and he and I would take turns visiting the Messenger of God.’ He said: ‘One day I would visit him and bring the news of the Revelation, and one day he would visit him and bring the same. We heard that GHASSAN WERE PREPARING THEIR HORSES TO ATTACK US. He said: ‘One day he came to me in the evening and knocked on my door, so I went out to him. He said: “A horrible thing has happened.” I said: “Ghassan has come?” He said: “Worse than that. The Messenger of God has divorced his wives.’ … “(Jami` at-Tirmidhi volume 5, Book 44, Hadith 3318)
In relation to this, Ibn Sa’d (784-845 AD), in his book Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir states that news had reached Prophet Muhammed that the Byzantine (Romans) had ‘concentrated large forces’, and Heraclius had sent some his military to ‘Balqa’. This is when the Muhammed (p) ‘summoned’ his people to the expedition of Tabuk:
“They (narrators) saud: It (report) reached the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him, that the ROMANS HAD CONCENTRATED LARGE FORCES IN SYRIA had, that Heraclius had disbursed one year’s salary to his soldiers and that tribes of Lakhm, Judham, ‘Amilah and Ghassan had joined hands with him. THEY SENT HAD SENT THEIR VANGUARDS TO AL-BALQA. THE MESSENGER Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him, SUMMONED THE PEOPLE TO MARCH. He set out and informed them about the place which he intended so that they could make necessary preparations. He sent (messengers) to Makkah and to the tribes of Arabia (asking them) to send help. This took place in the days of intense heat.” (Ibn Sa’d, Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir, vol. 2, pp. 203-204) [3]
9th Century historian Aḥmad Ibn Yaḥya al-Baladhuri (D. 892 AD), also reports in his book, ‘Kitab Futuh Al-Buldan’, in clear words that the Prophet (p) learned that the Byzantine army ‘had assembled against him’:
“Tabuk make terms. When in the year 9 AH the Prophet marched to TABUK in Syria for the invasion of those of the Greeks, Amilah, Lakhm, Judham, and others WHOM HE LEARNT HAD ASSEMBLED AGAINST HIM, he met no resistance. So he spent a few days in Tabuk, whose inhabitants made terms with him agreeing to pay poll-tax.” (Kitab Futuh Al-Buldan, vol. 1, p. 92) [4]

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who makes his own desires his deity, and whom God has [thereupon] let go astray, knowing [that his mind is closed to all guidance], and whose hearing and heart He has sealed, and upon whose sight He has placed a veil? Who, then, could guide him after God [has abandoned him]? Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? [Al-Jathiya (The Kneeling) 45:23]

OH MY GOD! Contrast any atrocity that any person commits with the teachings of their religion, laws of their state or just collective moral ethics as Human beings. These contrasts are cultural, not sweeping statements to be assumed connection with Islam, I cannot believe people so well educated and intelligent can be so ignorant. The same could be said of so many people from every background imaginable.

In Bolivia, a Suez company (Aguas de Illimani) left 200,000 people without access to water and caused a revolt when it tried to charge between $335 and $445 to connect a private home to the water supply. Countless people were unable to afford this charge in a country whose yearly per capita GDP is $915.
Unfortunately, the IMF and World Bank are playing a key role in pushing water privatization all over the world. Many countries have been required to open up their water supply to private companies as a condition for receiving IMF loans, and the World Bank has approved millions of dollars in loans for the privatization of water systems.

Peter Singer (one of the world’s leading atheist ideologues) shows that determining sex to be licit on the basis of “consent” also justifies bestiality.
Around the year 2000, Singer was criticized for his positive review of a book by Midas Dekkers called Dearest Pet.
Dekkers is a popular Dutch intellectual public figure who was initially a biologist. He is known for his particular affection towards animals.
Singer was accused of advocating for bestiality as well, because he said that the issue with sex with animals is not so much related to morality but rather cruelty. He argues that if there is no cruelty, a person can take part in “mutually satisfying activities” with their animal.

I believe that the true essence of a debate is to answer questions where there are doubts, besides the objective of laying down our own point. I disagree with how the opposition is misrepresenting Islam, but that isn't my sole reason behind disliking it. The major reason is their refusal to answer questions, despite the fact that I noticed the woman, as well as Daniel interrupting the first speaker, as well as Mehdi Hassan, to which they both politely and wisely responded. If you cannot back up your arguments with proofs and if you cannot answer questions, due to your 'lack of points' or 'lack of knowledge' in the field, then one should stay away from arguing for or against the point of debate. This is what I believe.

Atkins disappointed me, it's appalling, he has a very fragile and weak argument, I'm an atheist, but Mehdi Hassan, though he said some things in the other video that I don't agree with particularly, with more factual as heck.
Atkins resorted to the use of the same responses that are made against Islam because he couldn't find genuine and logical responses and he retorted to Mehdi's argument using these same interminable and insipid responses.
The use of circumstantial evidence and tautologically repeating arguments made Peter Atkins intellectually reprobate and un-dialectical in theological discussions.
