Dislikes already?? I have just come to the conclusion that some people are generally just miserable and negative. Michael great build and video. Appreciate your investments of time, money, and creativity in your videos. Keep up the good work.
The dislike mostly come from people that can't see over the fact that the sound is mono not stereo they just don't see his passion in the material or his hard work. I see it and he is totally great!!!
@@coindesigner7477 like I said to me the sound didn't matter because I always need the subtitles. Fact is that the work is one hell of good quality and that is what I like.
You are awesome Michael! I love that you can make a mistake, then laugh at yourself and leave it in the video. So much better than coming across absolutely perfect in each project--leaving the rest of us feeling inferior. We are all human. Mistakes are how we learn. :)
Thanks for sharing these! Explaining what works, what doesn’t, the things we will encounter (like bonding to surface unwittingly). Epoxy being meant for indoor use. All super duper information. You are awesome!
I Can't Help But Have A HUGE GRIN On My Face When I Watch Your videos because Thanks To You I Know I Can Do This As Well!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TUTORIALS!!
Michael, I love the the outcome of this video, I am a Stucco/Concrete Contractor and i'm very impress with your work. There is another mortar call Arcus Stone which is a nice product but much more expensive and harder to work with, than Rapid set, i like rapid set and the work you do with this products. thank you for your time making this Video. God bless you!!
As I sit here at the Depot, patiently awaiting their opening, your next vid comes through!! Another absolutely stunning piece of work!! I am taking time off when I finish this job I’m on in Louisiana and going home to make my own concrete patio table!! You have out done yourself again, can’t wait to see what’s next!
Micheal builds, you are pretty much my hero. Thanks for the video and thanks for the comment interaction. I was going through the comments and I saw how much you respond to your fans. You are the best.
WOW Jaime! Thank you so much! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that! I try very hard to take at least an hour to an hour and a half to answer comments. I don’t get’em all but I try hehehe 👍🏻😊
This is dangerous. I just found your channel while having a cup of coffee before work. Working from home during COVID. No! No! I must be strong and turn off RUclips and be a good little worker, and not spend all day with your inspiring how-to's!!! 5 PM seems so very far away. :) Love the 3 videos I've seen thus far. I'll be back.
Michael - been watching DIY and Concrete and Make it Yourself channels for years. This is one is one of the best. Sorry about your weather though. Thanks for your energy and time.
I haven't done anything with epoxy yet, but I can definitely see how addicting it is like you said. I like both of these benches, but I especially like the rough one & its river rocks.
Wow Michael! Your first video is rounding in on 3 million views! You have really got talent in video making as well as all your projects. I am preparing to pour a small concrete hearth thanks to how easy to follow your videos are. My wife wants it to just be concrete while I want a little grout design in it... so I sneakily bought supplies to make two in hopes of changing her mind! The other will make a nice little bench somewhere. Thank you for all your hard work. I really hope sponsors are getting on to you! You deserve recognition for your talents.
Awesome work, I typically work with wood, shou sugi ban style with unicorn spit gel. Now you’ve given me different ideas with cement. Thank you for showing your beautiful work.
I've been wanting to make some stepping stones for my yard, and I think this might be a really pretty thing to do to make some two by two squares with the river rock in them. Really enjoyed your tutorials thank you
Use a polyaspartic meant for use on garage floors to go over the epoxy . That's what I use on floors . Beautiful work . I appreciate the time you take .
Take the OSHA Silica PEL Certification. Teach and encourage your viewers to use these safety measures, when grinding concrete. Great job and very creative!
So...I've watched this video over and over during my cocktail hour in the evenings. It took me forever to build up the courage to attempt something like this. I mostly work on cars and bikes in my garage as a hobby so this was a little out of my wheelhouse. I finally completed a concrete top for a sofa table. I added a few things to make it my own and as custom as possible. My neighbors saw me working with wood and came to see what my new project was, knowing that I usually work with metal. They didn't really understand what I wanted to do, probably because I wasn't explaining it right or was using the wrong words. Evidently "doohickey" and "whosy-whater" aren't real things. Anyway...when I was done, I used half a bag of Vigoro River Pebbles, 3 bags of Rapid Set Mortar Mix with 3 packs of Set Control and 256 oz. of epoxy. It weighs almost 300 lbs!!!! Torching the bubbles out was a little time consuming but once it started to set up I left it alone. My kids were impressed and said it came out really cool as well as the neighbors too. Not sure where I can upload some photos so you can see the process and finished product. I would like to get your opinion. Also.....WHERE'S THE NEW CONTENT? I want to see more cool stuff. I'm going to attempt the fountain after I move.
Oh yeah! Now we are going to have to do something like that. That's just awesome!! And congratulations on being a feature post on CTS Cement Mfg Corp/Rapid Set Facebook page. I was just amazed when they posted your concrete countertop on their October 10th facebook page. That's just totally fantastic!!!
I've rewatched all your videos, you need more. You're becoming my addiction I can't wait to start mine but I need to unpack in new house not watching RUclips but I can't get enough of you. And where is this Michael Builds merchandise. I want a t shirt. 👊👍
You are an inspiration to me Miguel!!! I wish you were close to share! Sadly you have not posted new videos lately, I wish to see much more you have to show us. Take care 🤗🙏🏻
I don't like using non-food grade chemicals so I used canola oil and it worked perfectly and doesn't smell as potent as WD-40. I love your channel and have learned so much. My first try didn't go so well but I'm getting ready to take a nother stab at countertops. Wish me luck!
Now that I'm totally confused not knowing which of those two I like most, I'll lose some sleep thinking about what I might want to do. Ah, but there's the weight of concrete. I'd like to try something, but concrete is pretty heavy. Might ignore some back pain and try anyways. Liking your videos a lot. You have another subscriber.
Michael great video as always. Hint: StoneCoat shows to use propane torch to remove bubbles from epoxy. Keep up the good work. Love your humor, and good videos. Thanks for your project ideas and how to make them.
Michael thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge. Great, inspiring ideas. Question; you mentioned the two part epoxy would not be appropriate for outdoors projects. Could you suggest an alternative epoxy which would be suitable for outdoor projects? Again thank you!
Oh Noooo! How did I miss this video? I lost my father at the time of this posting. Otherwise, you know I wouldn't miss your awesome videos. Thanks for the time you put into these videos for your loyal subscribers like me. 😊 ❤🙏
Ok... You made me do it... Resistance was futile... You are the first channel I have ever subscribed too, and I’ve watched 1,000’s of videos. The watchability (is that even a word? ...it is now) of your videos and the “make me wanna go build some sh*t!” factor is through the roof! Thank you, Sir; for making me do it.
Awesome job!!..Thank you so much for sharing this video. I have been looking for something like this for awhile, because I am planning to do a table with glass rocks.
I so want to do the two-part epoxy and river rocks in my bathroom! The countertop, and maybe even the tub-surround. That would be epic! Another great video and a great source of inspiration! Keep up the great work!
Can’t give this enough thumbs up. 👍🏻 absolutely love how the first one turned out. My project is going outside so I can’t use this for that but I’m definitely scheming where I can do it!!!
Wow! Your videos are inspiring, fun and creative. Your editing and humor make me look forward to your projects. Plus, you make it seem so easy. I haven't made anything, yet, but I definitely want to give it a shot! :)
Nice job Michael, I love the fact that even someone with experience make the kind of minor errors that I do! I would have "glued that top to the bench too! Keep up the great videos and the even greater sense of humor! DC
I love your channel. I enjoy working with concrete. Only small projects. You inspired me to try some of your projects. I had a thought about doing what you did with the river rock but run rope lighting through it. I have a channel too. Funny. I find yours more entertaining than mine. I could use a couple tips if we could chat sometime.
Michael - nice work, fun to watch!! Not sure if you've left things like that out in the sun for a long, long, looooooong time yet, BUT, if you have, please share your thoughts and experiences with how well the epoxy & glaze endure direct sunlight. Thanks again for the 'concrete' information and entertainment too.

The dislike mostly come from people that can't see over the fact that the sound is mono not stereo they just don't see his passion in the material or his hard work. I see it and he is totally great!!!
Maybe the dislike come from the sound problems? For me that doesn't matter I see the work and that's what matters.
@@sooboese3211 ...The sound was brutal at first, then I adjusted my Logitek sound device, and it was great !
@@coindesigner7477 like I said to me the sound didn't matter because I always need the subtitles. Fact is that the work is one hell of good quality and that is what I like.
@@sooboese3211 I totally agree Soo ;-) ..I just thought my comment might help you solve the audio problem :-)
This is worth seeing for the 2nd or 3rd Time, Years Later. Thanks Michael Builds !!
Awww! Thanks Dan!
@@MichaelBuilds Thx for your generous supply of Inspiration!

That is awesome, it looks as if I'm looking through water at those rocks, its so beautiful
You are awesome Michael! I love that you can make a mistake, then laugh at yourself and leave it in the video. So much better than coming across absolutely perfect in each project--leaving the rest of us feeling inferior. We are all human. Mistakes are how we learn. :)
Lol thank you so much Deb! Yes I laugh at myself A LOT HAHAHA 😂
U need your own show. There is just something about you. Just fabulous.
I like the fact that you glued them to the table! Rock on Michael!
Thanks for sharing these! Explaining what works, what doesn’t, the things we will encounter (like bonding to surface unwittingly). Epoxy being meant for indoor use. All super duper information. You are awesome!
THANKS BRAD! 😊👍🏻
I'd like to see a counter top like this one with the river rocks. So beautiful. Looks like being near a stream

Nice! The river would look great on a bar
Love your work and your sense of humour! Lots of fun while being so educational!
You are so creative, entertaining, honest and hardworking to watch!
Colored concrete, brilliantly colored river rocks, and a complimentary or contrasting epoxy color? I think I should try it.
Very Cool Project !!........Imagination is endless.......
