I had a lot of fun with Support Orianna, maxing e. People keep underestimating your tankiness, because no Ori ever maxes e first or second and the extra resistances from ball carrying can create a lot of fun plays. Queing support with it aswell, giving +30 armor and mr to frontline or adc can do a lot.

It makes sense that some people really hate this. When you train on a meta for years of your life that has 2 people in bot lane it makes it very difficult to shift to solo 1v2 effectively. As more roaming supports came into the mix like Pyke and Bard, adc's needed to learn how to not feed when they are left alone. Most never learned though, so there you go.
Lately I've been playing Braum top and I've won 12 out of 15 games, albeit my CS is like >3 a minute. Surprising fun and really rewarding when the laning phase is over and I get to use my bulk and damage from sunfire cape to help the entire team.

Hey Tilt, since you gather so many support recommendations, here is mine.
I play tons of different supporters and I found out that J4 is absolutely insane. He can technically not lose a single lane.
Vs. very squishy supports, you can go Electrocute and Shieldbash.
Vs. long range and poke lanes, that rely on first strike and the like, go first strike yourself and poke them with your E. E is instant and long range. If you know the range, you are quaranteed to always deny first strike.
I also went a few times with green tree, but if you do, enemies most likely will ignore you. If you practice his E-Q-Flash Combo, your botlane enemies will have a hard time. Imagine J4 being a Rell, but with a better focus on damage instead of CC. (Also E gives AS to your ADC.)

Shaco support is a ton of fun. Can go ap, bruiser, tank, ad and roam like crazy, can double jg etc. Hail of blades level 1 q start shaco can 1vs1 almost any champ
New sake we has crazy engage, tankinnes and a good enough clear, currently testing him in top and he goes crazy, I am yet to try it in supp or double-jungle(btw Max W but first point in q for better slow and survival, for clearing maxQ)

Ive been spamming Camille and ad Shaco supp with similar tech, always trying to stay out of vision staying botside mostly. Warding enemy jngl and ganking mid. Shaco might not be ur style but definitely try out Camille! For both i rush sundered then steraks and last 2 items full tank (usually frozen heart and kaenic).
I was the first person to use Camille support when she was released 😂

maybe try Nunu&Willump as a double jungle pick. You got good engage with the W for the botlane and can steal camps as well as heal with your Q. With your E you can also get some space between you and your enemy.
First champion that comes to mind is Poppy. Huge playmaking potential, stuffing potential and damage.

What better roam support than River Shen? Taunt invades are really strong at level 1. Ult means you can roam and then ult back to your ADC when they try to dive them or vice versa.
A lot of people have suggested Shaco support, and I agree. But I could also see Nunu or LeBlanc working for you. If you don't mind playing conventional picks then Blitz or Kench.
