I've been on the biggest Macklemore binge lately and have come to realise that the man has provided the soundtrack to the happiest years of my life. He has a wonderful ability to somehow tie lightheartedness in with vulnerability and real honesty and wrap it up into dancefloor hits. Each song is a total bop. I think a lot of people are definitely unhealthily obsessive over artists and other famous figures, but that isn’t this. That’s why I put “share you” in quotes, because it’s a sentiment that I no longer hold because I grew up and value his success and the exposure of his messages over whatever weird innate desire I had to feel original/ hipster/ whatever word you want to use.
You have a timeless way of making relatable music. The positivity in your music is vibrant, almost like a peek into past. I felt like a kid again. Thank you for expressing yourself and the team did a fantastic job with the video.

I LOVE Macklemore! He makes me laugh and cry. I hope he never stops! I love this kid! I say kid cause he's a year younger than my oldest. I know that I have watched this video at least twice a day since it was in my recommendations. I admit that I never understood rap music until my son told me about it. I like a lot of the older stuff as it's all new to me. It's poetry with a beat. It's so pure and if you listen it will lift you up or break your heart. I have a feeling that Macklemore can sing but it's not his gift. He's a poet. I appreciate all the great singers that are in his music. They are all great! I love this young man!
