I made your recipe for marinara sauce with the crushed red pepper! It was delicious! The crushed pepper really gave it a good kick! We make a meatballs very similar. I’m gonna try the red pepper flakes again with the meatballs now. Love your channel.! ❤

It gave me goosebumps when Teresa was mixing the Meatball mixture with her hands and she mentioned how sometimes her mum would cook with her rings on and how she doesn't. In my Italian family it was the same ... I always saw my grandmothers, 1st and 2nd generation Aunties, and elderly family friends cook most of the times with their rings on. Whereas I am always taking off my rings when I'm cooking.
This is part of what I was missing from seasons ago on HW. It was never a focus, you cooking, but we saw so much of it while you raised the girls. I loved seeing your family making sauce! It's probably what made me a fan. Love that you're doing this! ❤

Dear Tre- I love how you talk about your family and especially your mom and dad! I lost my dad ( we are from Europe) when I was 30! My husband served in the army here in the states and I felt the grief very hard. I miss my mom and sister. And I miss European cooking! Your meatballs are just that- delish! I never thought about adding cheese! Really good idea! My mom included capers in hers! Also very delicious! My suggestion if you could introduce us to a easy recipe for freshmade salad dressing! I swear one thing about Italian cuisine especially when it comes from people who are actually Italian or even Italian-American, is that you can taste the authenticity and the fact that they make the food with love. My best friend is Italian and her Nonna always makes Ciambotta during the summer, and when I tell you…..I can taste that she truly makes hers with love, she really does and it just makes you feel all warm, and happy on the inside.
Ciambotta or Giambotta? I only ask bc I make my grandmothers Giambotta which is Italian sausage, sweet peppers, potatoes, onions and then you throw in a few eggs at the end that’s been whisked with pecorino Romano. I like learning new recipes tho so I’m curious!
I just had to ask bc it’s really not a common recipe like spaghetti etc. so it surprised me to hear it haha. And actually a lot of Italians pronounce C’s like G’s so I get it 🤗.
Tre I tired your meatballs and Sunday sauce tonight and it was amazing!! The family loved it. I did add my own touch to the sauce by adding green peppers and mushrooms cooked separately in garlic salt and Worcestershire sauce and then added to the Sunday sauce. If you want the best meatballs add sauce to the meat and drop them raw into your sauce. NO frying or baking yuk. They come out soft and perfect.
