how stupid are some people to accuse someone of faking an injury to the knee, goodness 😭
I'm not saying that is the case for S. Coups (I know he has an injury) but it has happened before where people have intentionally injured themselves to avoid service.
@@crystalsnow1138oh i didnt know about that, but thats so crazy omg ?? 😭
I think it's completely unfair in the case of S.Coups because it's been documented that he had the injury and had been on hiatus. It's a serious injury.
But yeah. Ravi formerly from VIXX paid someone off to fake an epilepsy diagnosis so he could avoid active military service, and be a public service worker instead.
There was also an idol in the 1st gen IIRC he was really popular, until he got American citizenship specifically to avoid the mandatory military service.
But then Baekhyun got unwarranted hate for getting a public service job instead of active duty. Taemin got hate when he had to take up a public service job part way through his service due to his severe mental health issues, after being in active duty.
So yeah, just like with everything else, idols get hate for ridiculous reasons. While there are idols like Ravi who faked their way out of service, there's a lot more idols who legitimately have health conditions. @@suniibuni
VIXXs Ravi faked having epilepsy to avoid serving
Lmao I made a long comment but I can't see it now so I guess it disappeared into the void.
Sometimes idols get public service work instead of active military service due to medical conditions. People will bash them even if it's legit. Baekhyun got backlash when he was assigned a public service role, it was due to a condition that up until then he'd kept private. I think it was his back, I can't remember the exact condition off the top of my head. Taemin got backlash when he was reassigned a public service role part way through his service. He had been in active duty, but his mental health had deteriorated. There were reports of other soldiers following him into the shower and stuff prior to this, and after some of the soldiers he served with came forward to defend him from the things people were saying online, stating that he was on a lot of medication for his mental health, and that he kind to his colleagues.
I did mention Ravi. But there was also a 1st gen idol who was very successful, until he got American citizenship specifically to avoid the mandatory military service.
For S.Coups to not even be given a public service role his injury must be really serious. A torn ACL is no joke. In sports that can keep you sidelined for a year.
But yeah, this is one of those things that people are always going to be negative about online, and say it's fake, or privilege. It's usually not. But people, including idols and others in the entertainment industry do sometimes do extreme things to get out of it, whether it's deliberately hurting themselves or by fraud.
With Le sserafim, I think harsh CRITICISM is deserved, not hate. Yes, it wasn't a big event like a concert or festival, but that doesn't fully excuse it. They desperately need more training, and their fans can't keep babying them. The consent defense of "you couldn't do any better" is such a bad argument. The entertainment industry is a job. You can't expect a construction worker to perform open heart surgery, but that sugen better be good. If some idols can't do live vocals, which is a part of the job, then they are lacking and need training.
Exactly like of course they don't deserve all the hate and death threats they get but the criticism is definitely needed so they can improve
"Encore stages are about having fun" You can have fun while also giving a good performance, no one wants to watch whatever that was

@crealkiller woah there buddy I'm not one of them

Min Yoongi's case is different from S.Coups'. The later is a more recent injury where Yoongi's is a few years back if I remember correctly. So Yoongi was placed where he wouldn't hurt his shoulder again. Time plays a factor in deciding also.
I guarantee yall that S.Coups would rather serve in the military than to be exempted because he has a serious injury.
Yall guys, for someone to have full exemption from SK's conscription due to health reasons means that the injury/illness/disease is actually serious. He wasn't even assigned to do social service work, which wouldn't require a lot of physical training. That just sucks.
Health is the most important thing for idols. They dance, they sing, they perform like crazy and their health must be in perfect shape.
I believe for social work there is still the mandated 5 week training which is probably why he was also exempt for that. But I read on Twitter that for all ACL injuries, even if surgery is successful, the individual is placed at Grade 5 and exempted. This is due to the injury being severe (ACL tears are no joke) and the possibility of re-injuring is very high.
Yeah with how crazy the culture is there is a decent chance he feels guilt about this for the rest of his life. With how integral he is to the group, I wonder what effect this will have on them as a whole, too.
I tore my acl during boot camp and still recovered and did my training. Soo
@@TheRealKaylee_loljk so what?

Imagine getting consistently bullied for not being able to sing live, do nothing to improve, and go on stage looking terrified just to show your lack of improvement and get bullied once again. The girlies need stop being so timid and improve themselves to prove everyone wrong.
It's the opposite. Improving themselves is literally proving them right. It shows that they acknowledge they lack in skills and needed to train to become better
@@salembejaoui1880but they do lack skills…
I think Sakura’s voice is legit damaged from singing the wrong way too long. The same happened to Britney Spears. I don’t think Sakura can improve, she is too old and used wrong vocal technique for too long.

They should simply stop trying to live up to people's expectations and simply ignore it, people that make such a big deal out of stupid things can NEVER be satisfied, even if she worked hard and dramatically improved to the point some people praised her other people would find something else to whine about.. The worst mistake a person can do is give in to people who think you need to change yourself to please them.

Where was all the morality when Yoongi was being dragged all over the place for doing alternative service due to his shoulder injury being called all types of names. Or how Jin and the other boys were harassed since 2018 regarding the military services. How about all the hate their got from every fandom for the gov simply considering an exemption? Armys are not hatting for no reason, they are simply calling out the hypocrisy and returning the energy
I don't think army r hating on scoup. Theyr r hating on carats because carats troll the hell out of yoongi for his shoulder injury. Carats trolled the hell out of BTS but now it's came to their idol
Y’all acting like scoups got his injury just in time for his military enlistment . He’s literally being on hiatus for this injury for months- maybe even a year.
after doing some research, apparently, even if he got his acl torn few years ago instead of in 2023 he still would've been exempt. there's just too great of risk of getting injured again

@@smolpeen2282 LOL did you read the comment before you responded?!
Encore stages are fun for groups who can sing. They can goof off and not take themselves too seriously, because being asked to sing their OWN SONG live is not very difficult.
For vocally mediocre groups, encore stages are terrifying. They don’t have the luxury of a loud backtrack, vocal smoothing, or pre-recorded audio tracks to save them. They can’t rely on other idol skills, such as dancing or charisma, to save them.
I believe idols should be well-rounded. If you’re making music, you should be able to sing decently well.
I’m gravitating these days towards second gen girl groups, such as Brown Eyed Girls, T-ARA, Sistar, and KARA. I’m tired of the narrative that because fourth gen choreos are so intense, idols shouldn’t be expected to sing. These groups *also* had incredibly difficult, intricate choreographies, yet they were still able to sing live a decent amount of the time. If they weren’t dancing and just doing an encore stage, they were able to sing live 100%. Because no shit, you should be able to sing your own song.
Sakura not being able to hold a note while standing still is seriously embarrassing. I wonder what the recording process in the studio looks like - I imagine they direct her towards every single note, and perhaps smooth her vocals in post-production.
Being able to sing live still matters, and encore stages are one of the few places fans can go to see their idols do that. So it’s always going to be disappointing hearing mediocre vocals from your favourite artist.
10000% agree it’s not even shade it’s truly disappointing and I feel bad for not only the fans but for Sakura as well :/ but you’re completely right.
I wonder if it also has something to do with that idols get (overall I think, but don’t take my word for it) less training years?
I might have this completely wrong, but I thought that in the earlier kpop days it was normal to train for 4-6 years or something? And now you often hear 2 years.
Can someone tell me if this is actually true? I feel like I’ve picked this info up here and there but can’t confirm it.
(Also I’m not saying that the training time for learning to sing means that the problem is ONLY training time, more like it probably doesn’t help to have less time when one is also learning dancing etc at the same time.)
Yeah and you don't even have to be the best in the world technically, say what you want about Itzy but they have proved themselves multiple times to be stable and comfortable in singing their song.
Absolutely! Encore stages are meant to be fun BUT they also reveal the real vocal capabilities of a group. It is honestly the fault of these kpop companies for debuting unprepared idols. Nowadays, idols are more like influencers than singers/dancers.
@@Stella-tv7pw Yea I can see that as a clear possibility because I feel u should only debut an idol with not a lot of years to train is if they have like raw talent. I feel that should be the only exception but you know , and in case of Sakura I wanted to say it is concerning for someone or anyone to be an idol or in the entertainer/singer career and don’t have the sufficient vocal training (IM NOT SAYING SHE ISNT TRYING) but it does make u think you’d be really skilled by now at-least in the basics.
Let’s address the elephant in the room: S.Coups didn’t just sprain an ankle or pull a muscle-he tore his ACL, a serious injury that requires extensive rehabilitation and can take up to nine months to fully heal. For those unfamiliar, the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) is one of the major ligaments in the knee, crucial for stability and mobility. A tear in the ACL is no joke-it’s a debilitating injury that can impact daily life, let alone a career that demands rigorous physical activity like dancing. Imagine the pain and frustration he’s enduring, not just from the injury itself, but also from the setback it poses to his passion and livelihood. So before you jump to conclusions and criticize him, take a moment to educate yourself. And let’s get one thing straight: it’s not up to S.Coups, Plato, or Aesop to decide on military exemption-it’s the government’s call. So why the hate? Get real. You’re targeting someone who has no say in the matter. And for those singling out ARMYs as the sole haters, wake up. Every fandom has its toxic side. Just because ARMYs are vocal in defending their idols doesn’t mean they’re haters. Let’s stop with the baseless accusations. As for S.Coups, I wish him a speedy and full recovery. He’s an incredible talent, and I can’t wait to see him back doing what he loves.
As someone who got the same injury as S. Coups ten years ago and who's knee has never been the same since I 100% support this decision by the military. I love when common sense prevails.
groups not singing live is the exact reason why people focus so much on encore stages, because it's the only way for us to hear how the groups actually sound like when they sing live. and for me, a person who can't stand lipsyncing and stans groups who sound amazing live (ateez, dreamcatcher, mamamoo, nmixx, etc.) or at least decent, le sserafim's encores are always a disaster
Do these groups come to your room and sing you to sleep? or sing live to you everyday? If the answer is no and like how they sound otherwise then why is it even a issue? People really do find reasons to cry over anything... If people focus on a encore stage and can't deal with the way they sound then that person better not listen to them at all period. otherwise they need to get a life.
@@TheRyno525saying it’s “crying over everything” to expect a group of singers to be able to sing is so chronically online 😂
Encore is not important. You don't pay to watch an encore. You can complain if it is an concert.
They need to bring Garam back to balance out the vocals. Or give Chaewon and Yunjin 70% of the lines and distribute the remaining 30% to the other 3 members. Their lack of vocal talent is really damaging their credibility as a group. In another 2 years time people wont put up with it anymore.
@@anistardibro you are everywhere saying same things the people who go to watch music bank they legit pay lmao you think it's free😂😂😂

I dont understand some fandoms hating on S.Coups, man literally has an ACL rupture?? That injury can end a sportman's career, and usually take a min of 6-8months to recover after surgery
He got that injury last year, of coz he wont be able to return to full recovery within this year😢
That fandom comparing it to Yoongi's shoulder injury that happened over a decade ago?
I dont know which fandoms has been dragging BTS over them enlisting late, but i know its not their fellow idol peers
You think a proud and healthy Korean man wont prefer to do enlistment instead of suffering an injury?
Some people are wack for thinking someone gonna fake an injury that serius😮
Just a little clarification. Yes Suga's shoulder injury was a long time ago, but over time it got worse to where he decided to get surgery for it at the end of 2020 because his shoulder would freeze during performances. And then he went on hiatus for a few months to do physical therapy and recover. I even remember HYBE put out a statement saying Suga was also getting the surgery so he could serve in the military.
bro do u even have proper info about yoongi shoulder injury? He's been enduring it for more than 7 years but he did his shoulder surgery in 2020 cuz it got worsen it wasn't just a mere injury and still he always tried to give his best when we'all have seen him going through pain plz get a proper about his issue first

@@divvsiYoongi recovered enough to pass the physical health exam while scoups couldn't, even if he wait for longer to take the exam he still wouldn't make it as ACL is listed as an automatic injury that would put people in grade 5 (exempted from military until wartime), famous example would be SHINHWA (gen 2 group) Hyesung ACL injury in 2001 should've enlisted in 2008 but got classified as grade 5, tho still joining group comebacks his knees condition was never the same even got multiple surgeries later on
why are some people hating on scoups? he didn’t decide to be exempted but his injury was quite serious, I’m sure he would rather be serving in the military rather than having an injury.

He injured his collarbone, that's why in this part he's hand is only in his pocket+ subtle movements. Mind you, Minghao is the member that can do flips and tricks, they utilize this in comebacks.
Most likely that will happen to scoups.... here's the catch - it'll be difficult to stand. Yes Sakura was struggling the most, but really the rest weren’t that far off. This is at least not as bad as the unforgiven encore, but since the song was relatively easy to sing, it was still shocking to hear.
Yunjin also did great, she is one of the better main vocals in 4th gen. Not the best, but decent enough.
Yes the whole group is off when its comes to live.Even Yunjin and Chaewon sounds soo different from studio version made me think how hard hybe working behind to make that so different(maybe for hearable)lol.
It is because Sakura is almost always horrible, like she sounds tone deaf. Each time she gets roasted. Not her fault she really has no talent in that department but she still should try learning. The rest of the members aren’t great but they also almost always do ok.
The auto tune version sounds completely different from the live
Everyone's getting criticism except chaewon and Yunjin. But sakura is getting the most hate because she's the oldest + an idol for over a decade. This wasn't expected from her in particular.
Armys showing their true selves by hating on a guy for getting exemption by GOVERNMENT. They're so so delusional that they think now that their idols are gone everyone else should enlist asap too.
They dont realize how Scoup been missing on so many activitues, he couldnt performe in their concerts, in their music vidoes and activities, he even wasnt able to go on Nana Tour with his group and he looked so utterly upset about it because he was the one being so excited about it. He will have a great toll in his idol career because of his Acl injury, but i think those so called bts fans are blind to that fact.
True, i gave them the benefit of the doubt but when i saw their replies on the top comment....I was like dem all the basic information are being said but they don't read. They are too caught up on their self, calling out hypocrisy on Carats when fans/ the idols don't make the decision on weather korean men should enlist or not. Its the Policy for all Korean men and they act as if these laws was just made yesterday.
wow I didn't realize S.Coups had to have so much surgery. his injury must have been very serious. :(
It's just so freaking annoying how Armys (Not all but lots of them) hating S.Coups and saying rude and ridiculous things... Why can't y'all see the reality... Y'all are dragging Yoongi's injury to everything and use it to hate on another idol... Don't you guys think it's super disrespectful to both idols...
Plz stop childishly arguing abt which one had the most serious injury cuz those things shouldn't be taken as something you casually joke around...
Plus, Yoongi got his surgery done around November of 2020 and he already completed his rehab process as well... He had almost three years to focus on his recovery before going to military... But here, S.Coups got his surgery done around August last year... It's still only been few months and if you guys don't know, ACL injuries takes a long time to completely recover... And the fact that Korean gov didn't let him serve in military means his injury is wayyyy worse than we thought... If the gov thought it will get better with time, they would have give S.Coups Grade 7 which recommend them to get a physical examination again within two years... But they didn't... They didn't gave him Grade 6 either, which makes someone exempted from military service... He got Grade 5, which means he is INCAPABLE OF ENTERING ACTIVE OR SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICE, BUT CAPABLE OF ENTERING THE SECOND CITIZEN SERVICE... Not something like he is disabled for life or his whole career must end now... Got it??
I saw lots of Armys saying things like why he got the exemption when Suga didn't... First of all, BE REAL girlss.. Incase y'all didn't know, Suga got Grade 4 from his military examination... That's why he was chosen to do social service not wartime labor... Second of all, stop spreading groundless rumours like S.Coups is faking his injury to be exempt from military... Yess, I get that Suga intentionally got his surgery so he will be able to go and serve for his country.. But you can't campare these two situations... I don't remember the exact source, but S.Coups is one of the Seventeen members that really wanted to go to military... He once even said he wanted to join Marine corps.. But unfortunately he couldn't even reach the physical requirements that needs to be a social service agent...
Why can't you guys see how serious this whole situation is... Why are y'all only super focusing on creating unnecessary fanwars and saying he should just die in a time like this instead of wishing him a fast recovery... I'm honestly curious if there's any humanity left in you people..
(I'm not just rambling out of rage guys... I responded to few of the mostly commented hate massages I saw here... As you can see, I'm a Carat.. But I've been an Army for seven years now as well.. So I don't need your lectures about how great BTS are or how much they money they bring to Korea's economy compare to SVT or anything like that cuz I already know it well enough..)
Lastly,
Thank you for patiently reading this whole thing...

Whenever I hear that an idol has an ACL injury I always feel for them. It's an extremely painful injury to have and the knees are what help people with jumping, running, walking, etc. I know Junghoon from Xikers also tore his ACL and has been on hiatus for a year or so due to it.
I hope S.Coups can rest and rehabilitate at a good pace. ❤
If people think Coups is faking his knee injury then they have never had one. I had an ACL tear and a torn meniscus injury and it is the worst pain I've ever felt in my entire life. He had ACL and ALL ruptures at the same time which are very important for mobility-- his injury is worse than mine. After surgery you have to force your traumatized ligament to figure out how to work again. It makes you rethink the entire way that you move around and if the quad muscles are weak then you are at a major risk of falling and reinjury. To even be dancing at SVT level choreo is baffling to me because it has not even been a year since he had surgery. People who have never had a knee injury do not understand how much pain you go through to get back to being able to walk. I wish him a speedy recovery and I hope he does not overdo it during SVT activities.
I can’t imagine the both of you felt. Gosh, it sounds horrible. I’m definitely not good at handling pain.

S.coups has a ruptured ligament. Knee injuries are the worst but ligament is a even worse. S.Coups is not going into the battlefield. If S.Coups isn't going into the military what will he do? I hope he gets better soon.
he's going to focus on recovery and that only, apparently he's still in rehab to be able to go back to his daily activities and it will definitely take years to be fully healed. he'd be called to service when the time of war does come (which hopefully will be never! because we definitely do not want to see thousands of people dying!) but for now he really just has to focus on healing.
it's unfortunate that the lesserafim girlies are getting hate but it would be a lie to say that they can sing. like except for yunjin and chaewon they struggle so much when singing live and it's actually painful to hear. sakura looks TERRIFIED in that clip, and it's absurd for a singer to be terrified of singing!
sakura is an interesting case because despite of the many years of training in the kpop industry, she still hasn't improved and ver vocals are seriously lacking, however i don't think that she actually CAN improve. it's probably due to unhealthy techniques she learned in the jpop industry (since it's not vocal focused and idols in japan recieve little to no training).
i think that despite everything eunchae and kazuha can improve, but hybe needs to put in the work and they dont seem to have that intention since none of the idols they trained are good vocalists (except people that were actually good before joining the company).

It was pretty obvious she can’t really sing bc she barely had lines in the song or any songs and that might be why. It’s also why I think she’s more at the back and so I can understand bitter Sakura fans realizing why she’s always in the back it’s bc she was used once more for fans

Yes, encores are supposed to be fun but you can have fun and sound good at the same time! If the performers look like they’re having fun then the audience will too. But if they look scared out their minds, the audience is gonna be anxious too! Professional singers sound amazing even if they’re goofing off. I’m worried… if they can’t sing one song live with no editing or backing track then how are they going to perform an entire set at coachella? The bar for 4th gen vocals is in hell and I blame lipsync for this. Idols don’t practice singing live enough, so when the mic is on with no backing track all their confidence disappears!
They'll just do the same as Blackpink did.
i think lip syncing is fine in certain performances, like for natty’s sugarcoat stages i think they would have benefitted a lot from being purely lip synced rather than the weird backing track they made for the performances and her occasionally trying to sing but being clearly out of breath from the difficult choreography. she proved she can sing live in kiss of life stages, she can show off her dancing with her solo
i agree, i hink it will be too taxing on idols if they sang live and at full power every time, esp when they're on tour. their idol life is too demanding for that. however, they should be able to sing/rap decently when they have to because above everything else they are singers
Lesserafim are always gonna get hate for their encores just like twice 2020-2022 it’s unfortunate but negative eyes are watching them at all times. I know they want them to improve but it’s clear they are frightened to sing live now bc people are so critical

sakura has been idol for 10 years, yet she hasn't improved a bit
when she has mic she looks like she's about to cry, sad to say, but she's the definition of idol who just got into industry only because of her pretty face
@@ga33333I agree their vocals are very weak and I’ve known that since their debut. The only notable vocalists are Chaewon and Yunjin and I don’t even think sometimes they can save their group…I hope they can improve if that’s what is possible
As singers the should know how to sing.
@@ga33333 uhm... the way sakura was known as the "funny" one in her group while in HKT and never considered pretty in her early stage is kinda hilarious. She wasn't considered ugly, but she definitely wasn't considered pretty, especially not when HKT had one of the prettiest idols in all of AKB at the time (she didn't get attention for her looks until she was already halfway through her career). The way you dismiss everything else it takes to be an idol to only focus on merely two aspects, is well... shallow of you.
I think people have such high expectations for encores because of how much lip-synching has increased. For many, these are some of the few times they can hear their idols actually singing live.
I love the new dark hair it looks so nice and frames your face really well! ❤
I like Spotify and think it’s super fun to have Spotify Wrapped so I’d say you should switch back!
About lessera encore backlash, they literally roasted sakura for being a bad singer AGAIN... The aforementioned video on twitter already reacher 30m+ views but one thing i noticed is that most comments are from SM group stans.. The narrative they're pushing now is that all members cant sing and used that one performance in MCountdown to judge them.. I guess they really are getting more famous since they are receiving more nonsensical hate lately..
I feel like it's a tradition for every year we always get that one gg to hate on. Like, aespa when they debut, then wonyoung with the strawberry, itzy with "flop comeback". And now it's Lessera
It's not just "that one" encore. They always sound terrible on their encores. And yes Sakura, Kazuha and Eunchae simply can't sing AT ALL and it's okay to admit that
be fr this girls can’t sing at all except chaewon and maybe yunjin
Well Sakura is a BAD SINGER.
SHE CANNOT SING. Also Sakura wasn’t the only one, Kazuha and Eunchae definitely got a lot of criticism even Yunjin a little bit cuz ppl really expected better from her.
Also you’re the only one here pushing the narrative that Le Sserafim are being judge on only one encore. You know damn well that’s not true. Stop lying just to protect Le Ssearfim.
There’s plenty of stages of the members being unable to sing live properly and yes sadly it is almost all the members! This is just the one video that’s gone viral but doesn’t mean they are only being judged on that one stage fool 🙄
Chaewon and Yunjin are legit the only ones who can sing well enough.

Le sserafim can sing Sakura is just a weak singer she knows this and we all know this like in all kpop groups each member has their own Kane not saying there aren’t idols who can do it all but most kpop idols are the best at their perceived role and okay at everything or weak at everything else. This is why I'm happy that Ateez is performing at Coachella this year. They will nail it with their live performances and stage presence. They sound so good. Le Sserafilm should take notes from them.
The problem is LSFM has proven again and again they cannot sing live. Yunjin is the only decent vocalist, the others are mediocre to below average. Your hair looks amazing! and its heartbreaking to hear people hate on Coups, he is already physically hurt don't tire him mentally too
It has been only 6 months ever since SCoups got an ACL tear, an injury that is known to end careers in sports and dance fields. A particular fandom has been disgustingly ableist and misogynist towards him, going to the extent of labeling his injury as fake and calling him an evader when he was fairly examined by the korean military and then exempted. As a person who has seen some of her close ones give up on their career path due to injuries, it has been heartbreaking to see comments like 'lazy' 'skill issue' 'weak' 'not a man' comments coz no one would be suffering more than SCoups rn, whether it be physically or mentally. People are giving excuses of him joining the next comeback to drag him when it's not even sure how involved he will be in the promotions and all. That man has been on hiatus since August of last year. All you know he might just be recording songs for the next album and not participating in the performances at all. You dont get that kind of grace in military coz they are not going to adjust their schedules and activities around you.
my least favorite type of comment is "you should support the idols for working hard, not criticizing them" as if criticism isn't totally valid for a public figure and essentially the face of a product (the song).
also, why do some fans act like you're either a Taeyeon-level singer or tone deaf with no in between? When people say that Sakura and Kazuha should improve, it's not like they need to be the main vocal by tomorrow. It would just be nice if the product they're selling matched reality (being able to sing without autotune). My favorite example of this standard would be Yeri and Irene from Red Velvet because they're really nothing spectacular in terms of vocal technique, but they can hold a tune. They can do their parts, with personal style/flair and have fun with it.
I love your hair! The colour really makes your face pop
Love the hair , suits you a lot more
Nmixx has harder choreography and better vocals. Lsf has the resources to improve their vocals or do range-friendly tunes like how Momo could sing better in Scientist after more and more. TBH the recorder thing is just a publicity fix, they are dodging instead of learning.
I'm sorry but this was an especially egregious case because, even though they were just standing and obviously not having fun while focusing only on the vocals... those vocals were bad... for a really vocally easy song. It's one of the few cases where there's hardly any excuse

The encore wasn't that bad tbh I feel like people are overreacting. Was it great? No. But it wasn't that bad. Most of them sounded okay. However I hope they train more with live singing without playback and get more confident and get better! ❤️
Also if hybe is gonna keep making them sing in low registers then train them to do so or just don't give them such songs. They clearly struggle to sing deeper 😭❤️
Also I just listened to their music bank encore and imo they sound better there! Probably because they weren't as nervous with the fun atmosphere ❤️

I also commented on the short:
I'm a med student and we learned about it. Many athletes suffer from this or damage to their shoulders. If you have an operation the time to recover is around 4-12 months. That means after 12 months you can do intensive sports again and are often seen as "fully recovered". For professional athletes, this can be a crucial period. One year without their regular training can throw you "years" behind.
Of course, every case is different, but most people, I think around 90 % (of younger healthy people) recover completely. So it would technically be possible to wait a year and go then. But of course, like I said, everyone is different and it depends on your overall health and everything. The only thing I want to mention (and I'm looking at Pledis here) is, that if the injury is that bad, that he can't perform intensive training, the daily routine of an idol (dancing, and performing on stage) would be impossible for him. So they really need to let him rest and do his rehabilitation program. There is also the risk of Athrosis, but that would be a different disease with different therapy programs.

He's not serving in the military, he was exempted. I think some ARMY are mad because when the discussion about BTS being exempted was happening a lot of people were hating on BTS for trying to dodge their service even though BTS never asked to be exempted. Plus some people hate on idols who do public service instead of active duty. I am an army and I wish nothing but the best for S. Coups and his recovery.
He got ACL, athletes worst nightmare, no matter how many times he apply for the military they would never let him in, its the KR military rule that ALC is an automatic injury that would put people in Grade 5 (Exempted until wartime). If you want to know more you can search SHINHWA Hyesung, he got ACL in 2001, should've enlisted in 2008 but got classified as Grade 5, still struggling with bad knees till this day.
I feel bad for scoups His injury must be really bad for him to have been exempted
so i have a question and before any of the crazy kpop stans come at me sideways, no im not asking this to be shady or hateful, i just genuinely want to know. can someone explain to me why scoups gets to be exempted for his injury yet yoongi literally got hit by a car and basically had a broken shoulder for like 14 years yet he was still forced to complete his service? i thought if it wasn’t a life threatening injury then the requirement was they’d at least have to do civil service. aka the 9-5 desk job which is what yoongi is currently doing. so can someone tell me what’s the difference and why one gets an exemption and the other doesn’t?
It’s a valid question so no one should be offended or upset at you for asking. Idk the definite answer ofc, only the SK government knows that, but I would assume that Scoups was exempt because an ACL injury is not just an average injury. For an ACL to heal the person would have to go through a lot of physical therapy and it usually can take up to 6-8 months, sometimes even up to a full year depending on the severity of the injury. In Yoongi’s case, yes he did get hit by a car and had a shoulder injury for over a decade, but once he had his surgery it didn’t take as long for it to heal as it would an ACL. And ofc they still had to take into consideration that his shoulder wasn’t as functional as most of the others which is why he’s doing civil service and not the regular required service. By the time Scoups is done with rehab, he’d be over the age required to enlist and even then he still wouldn’t be able to do much so they most likely decided to go ahead and exempt him.
@@joonsoneandonly ahh ok that makes sense. but i still don’t get why doesn’t the government just give scoups extended time to enlist like what bts had? even though he injured his acl he can still work behind the desk or do like kitchen duties or something like that that some idols do right?
also thanks for the explanation!
@@truth_teller00From what I saw in other comments, they said idols with acl injury are exempted & coups is not the first idol who’s been on the list!! And desk job too needs some typical physical training of course not as typical as other jobs! Hope this helps.

HYBE buying all Lee So Man's share on SM is okay but HYBE being the new standard of best vocal would be a nightmare. They actually have great groups doing great encore, especially boy groups but girl groups are disappointing. A lot of groups now are lip syncing so encore stage is something we are always excited about because we can hear them singing live. If we're talking about groups groups who sing live most of their performances, example Mamamoo, ITZY, SKZ, NMIXX, ATEEZ, TXT, SVT and even BTS and Enhypen, watching them singing poorly on encores while doing silly stuff is okay because they always sing live and we knew how good they are vocally.
On the knetz issue. A lot of kpop stans feel superior to knetz for not being as open to certain things forgetting that a lot of them get agitated at the littlest things as well. I've seen this a lot over the internet just this year
i havent been paying a ton of attention to kpop for a bit but the look of terror on sakuras face during that encore was so jarring like i remember winning stages being goofy and fun, the chance to prove vocals was more of a flex than a necessity.
I did know what knet meant but I have also been around in the kpop sphere since gen 2. I looked it up myself back then because I hadn't even heard of netizen before but I am curious if others even look things up like this anymore or if they just guess at thigs, idk
when i first got into kpop was around the time i was getting more into the internet in general and began hearing the terms knetz and netizens and i did take a while to understand the difference so i do think its possible some people dont know.
I think sakura is doing her best to not sound nasally, that's why she looks like that.
i think i read this somewhere but companies need to give them positions... majority markets them like all rounders - without the need of positions that's why the consumer's expectation is there too.
all the companies should be dragged down too for debuting ppl who clearly lack skills.
People need to stop using Having Fun as an excuse to sound horrible during encores. For example, queencard encores have always been ten times better and stable than any of serafims encores, and those stages were hundred times more chaotic and ‘fun’ than lesserafims.
Korean citizens just wished Seungcheol to heal well, stay happy, and wished the best for his career as an idol (some were even shocked he’s Korean LOL). So I've been scrolling thru the comments and JESUS you guys seem agitated, so I'm just gonna share my POV as a Carat.
Yes, Carats (ofc not all) have dragged Suga around because of his shoulder and that wasn't appropriate. Now Coups is being hated on for a similar reason. It's not okay from either sides, or from any side at all, to hate them because of an injury and the actions taken to guarantee a good recovery. I'd like to mention that some Armys pull the 'but you did it first' card here and there and that this is no reason to hate on idols, no matter what group they're from. It doesn't make anything better, no, it'll just end up happening over and over again
For the Giselle beauty brand thing I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an algorithm problem. Like nowadays companies collects lots of data on users and I wouldn’t be surprised if the website had multiple options for the same product (one picture of the product for each member) and it’s only that the algorithm show you more of X member because of your IP address or your user habits on the website : for example, they analyzed that if the product feature Karina there is 80% chances of buying against if it’s let’s say Winter there is 60%… or they analyzed that other users that buys the same products as you have bought if it was Karina and not if it was Giselle so the website will feature Karina when you’ll go on the website.

It’s been almost three years, le sserafim has had time to improve they just don’t want to at this point.
I know some people get a little irked when others claim encore stages are supposed to be fun but... are they not? Like every single group i've followed would either spend that time interacting w the crowd, do goofy shit or sing in a way where it's clear there are no stakes at all. The "infamous Momo encore" really did a number on people bc even that was never that serious to begin with? Momo's voice cracked, she laughed in surprise, they were all cracking up and everyone swiftly moved on but then it was picked up to shit on them and was never put back down - mind you i still see people use it *to this day* and it obviously has made encore stages into a weirdly tense thing. *What happened to fun ?*

I honestly expect all kpop idols to have great live vocals. Not because I think they are less worthy if they don't have great live vocals, but because if I want to go to their concert someday, I want to hear them sing live, and dance, of course. I know that this is hard, but for me it is not the same if I hear an idol lip syncing, or having poor live vocals. I know that it is hard to have great live vocals and do a hard choreography, but I think that these days more effort goes into having great dancing skills, than having great vocal skills. I will always admire NMIXX for having amazing encore stages because those stages are the proof that I would have a great time during their concert in the future. If I were to go to a concert and hear idols lip syncing, I might as well watch their MV at home
Instantly I noticed a changed. And it looks AMAZING. You look so good. The hair ? Literally perfect.
