In 2004 my wife of only 7 months went home to the Lord. This song is what raised me up to life again! I was sitting in my car alone and crying, asking God why! when this song started playing. WHAT CAN TAKE A DYING MAN AND RAISE HIM UP TO LIFE AGAIN! Powerfull words! Now instead of asking God why, I say Thank you lord for blessing me with such a wonderfull wife. Now I know that God placed her in my life so I could find him. I was holding her hand when I gave my life to the lord. Thank you Lord!
There is not a miracle more wonderful or powerful, not even the physical raising of a dead man than the spiritual raising of a dead man. That God would give grace to His enemy and allow such a one to understand what happened at the cross, that a dead sinner is made alive and imputed with Christ's righteousness! Hallelujah!

Beautiful song & movie,("The Gospel of John"). I don't know of anyone who idolizes the cross, thru it's work He defeated death & sin on our behalf. What He accomplished on the cross is fulfillment of all the Old Testament points to & promises. & the New Testament shows us what He had in mind for us since the beginning in the garden. He is so just/fair because He commands something must die for our sin, & so loving because then He steps in front of us to take that death so we can come freely.
Bless you dear one................He is the great healer - and you will see her again!!!!! The Lord will fill that place in your aching heart - and you will see His Hand in the middle of every trial - to see you through - to not forsake you - not ever.
It's simply amazing that a perfect, infallible God would take the form of man and pay the debt for our sins...for no other reason than agape love. Thank you so much Lord, that your grace and mercy still chase us when we fail you, and cleanse us perfectly although we are not perfect.
Pray that the power of the cross is on the jurors in "Florida v Anthony" today. Only the power of the cross can help the jurors fulfill "tzedek, tzedek tirdof".

But these people saying the cross is nothing special are causing me to remember what Scripture says about the cross. Paul boasted in it!!! So, why can't we sing about it? Praise the Lord for Chris Tomlin and others who are not afraid to boast in the cross of Christ along with Paul! I am sure Chris could be famous doing other music. But I am so glad He sings for the Lord only!!!

The Romans had a way of speeding up the execution by slamming the knees, so blood would flood out of their body faster. So they did with the two men, but not with Jesus. Jesus "died" faster than normal (could be of the beating/whiping before the crucifiction) but I think He laid His life in the hands of the Father Himself.
