I'm noticing that sometimes you're spinning the camera around/looking down during some holds, does spinning the camera itself also give you momentum for the crampon jumps? Or does it manipulate the player character somehow to impart momentum?
Whenever you come straight down on a hold it's better to try and come at it from an angle and whip around and fly off the other side to help give yourself extra momentum, the camera whipping is just to try and help maintain that momentum.
acually my game runs on 1.3.smth version so its probably added in later version i havent got around updating it since i like cramp jumping the whole mountain in free time

its a mode you unluck after beating the first expert map which in you cant use pipe,chalk,coffee,rope
