- Is this the best budget smartphone gimbal available for your Android or iPhone? That's hard to say but the Feiyi Tech Vlog Pocket is definitely one of the smallest and the price is fair (under $100), as you'll see in this video where I give you my opinion on this small smart phone gimbal and show you some random video clips that I shot with it.

PROS:
The price is hard to beat. Very small and light weight. Excellent first gimbal. Easy to use once you figure out how it all works. Great battery life. It does what it is supposed to do, help you shoot smooth footage. Tracking feature works well. Perfect for travel.
CONS:
The app needs work. I wasn't able to do upside down shots where I would hang the gimbal and move it close to the ground. This could be user error but the gimbal didn't want to work right when I did that. This is for smaller phones. If you have a "Max" or large phone, it might not work. It also didn't work well with a wide angle lens on it, as it was too heavy.
GENERAL INFO:
Using a gimbal at first can be awkward. It might even seem like it doesn't work correctly. You'll want to make sure to read the instructions, watch some videos on it, and turn things on in the correct order. For the Vlog Pocket I had to first insert my phone (there is a correct UP to insert it), turn on the app or camera, then turn on the gimbal. Anything else would make the gimbal flop around. Learn how to use the gimbal and then it will be easy to work with.

It shoots good footage. I really had fun with the track feature using my iPhone. It was nice not asking anyone to help me record. I also had pairing difficulty with my iPhone but the Note 9 paired better. If the note haven’t been so heavy making it go wild it would have been perfect. The Zhiyun Smooth Q2 is smaller.
So it did not work on the Note 9? It was doing the wild crazy moving?
I always have large android phones so need something to hold w a case? Any suggestions?

Very informative video, I was looking at getting this gimble so I could shoot some b-roll footage for my channel, I'm not that big and limited on my budget for my equipment but this seems really good bang for the buck

Not sure about smaller but a good comparison in size and price would be the smooth q2 ... budget battle side by side for the audience to compare.. thank for the content , you are awesome!!!

I wish this works for. Handy cams too. But I would love to have something like this. My camera person skills would look pro. I'm not a huge fan of needing additional software, they could have inbuilt, but it is what it is. Awesome review Dee.

This looks like exactly what I need! I’m on the road a lot so small and compact is a must. And since either I, and my granddaughter who I record a lot, are in constant motion, it looks like it would absolutely help smooth out my footage!!

This pocket gimbal is worth buying, a thousand dollars is not bad. I want to have that. When you test it and just using you iPhone, it's smooth. I'm dying to have that. Lol. Mostly, i do travel vlogs. So, that thing is a must have.

You save me a lot of money just on the richt moment , Because i was just looking for a litlle smal one and i just can find the richt one,i already see a nice one but the price was a litlle to big .And i already give it up ,And i see you make a episode about Gimbals !! I have a smooth q, and love it. Downside is, no tripod feet, and I could really use that cause I use the gimbal alot

@@DeeNimmin found it after I commented, and yes have the hole at bottom, I've been putting it on my slider, and tripods, for boom shots and different level shots.

This gimbal can be easily folded into the pocket by folding it, which is very lightweight. I love it .

great video, i used the dji mobile and i absolutely hated it i dont recommend it at all.
I have the 2 and the 3. The 3 is so much better than the ones before it.
@@DeeNimmin I used the 2, I had older DJI products and thought it would match the brand but i was disappointed. Perhaps the 3 was the comeback for the mobile.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 5 is another great gimbal. Even the 3 and 4 series are good.
Sounds like it wouldnt work w the Note9 according to a commenter. Also you didnt mention if the app was available with the same usability as an Apple app.

Tomass Osmanis I’m always testing different apps. It’s how you edit that matters. Once you learn editing, you can use any app or software.

It’s lighter but I don’t know if it’s a deal breaker for the other one. You can find the exact weight for both of them on their websites. Happy to hear you enjoying the VS Stream!

Awesome. I could use some sort of stabilization for my vlogs.
This is an inexpensive way of doing it. They are a little awkward at first but once you’re over that they are good.
I was looking at the snoppa atom 3 which is another small folding gimbal. I was also looking at the Zhiyun Smooth 4 which isn't a small folding gimbal, but it has some nice features.
There are a lot of good options available now. I don’t have the others yet so I can’t compare them.

I think you should've use a phone with no EIS and OIS to really test the stabilazation quality of the gimbals and not the iphone because it was already very good in video stabilzation in a mobile phone.

I just bought the FeiyuTech Vlog Pocket gimbal, can't seem to figure out how you can have it tripoded on a table say, and slowly video pan the room 180 or 360 degrees. Nothing too complicated, just slowly spin like your microwave tray. Is this possible ?
