I have found that much like hive mother you can stand about 14 squares away and just tee off on this boss to farm ranged skill. He/she/it resets constantly to full health and will not come after you. Even if you don't have the legendary bow you can plop a repair bench next to you and repair when needed. A little off topic, but just stumbled on it and though I would share.
Do you have any information about the empty crystal? 3 item is needed to activate it, but I haven't found any of those (shutdown protocol, anomaly report and the transcript). I tried to farm those for hours in the new biome, where there were those titan-creatures, unsuccessfully. I don't even know what the crystal does so if you know anything about it please share :D

I have defeated the boss with only 500HP and I was always above 50%. I have used melee set with healing by doing damage. The key components are: octarine armor set for increased attack speed, 2 clot rings and rune song for healing on melee hit (although it can be replaced with dagger) and shield used exactly as @Serroh showed. I have eaten usual food for boss fight and that was easy fight.
I know you are doing your best, but this is a bad guide because you actually need really high stats for this to work. I have no idea how you maxed out all your levels without cheating, and your HP is way above what's normal without making multiple worlds and farming them. A better guide would be with weaker stats similar to the average player while keeping the same equipment.
Or he will upgrade like first boss slime just jump second jump and spawn slime and the third must jump spawn and make bubble but in video he just jump and don't spawn nothing. + Boss so easy ivy you must get special items to easy kill or be very careful to not get hit because you can't health your sale because of poison But this slime look so weak

I genuinely love that this bosses name is Morpha the Aquatic Mass. It's a reference to Morpha the Giant Aquatic Amoeba from Ocarina of Time.

quick correction. the 3 set bonus says it applies slippery when they attack you, not when you attack them.

you could just remove all the slime and make the area bigger and go around in a circle and not get hit once

How do you get that much health? I’m in the sunken sea bioma but only have 504 base health?
Well, first off, max out your vitality. Well fed buffs help as well; the one at 85 food gets you +10% max health.

man this is gonna suck on hard mode im gonna have to over prep so hard for all these bosses
How do i even get around 1k hp. I have 573 hp and i haven't found the golden amber larvae yet.
Manually finding max HP food in worlds or duping. Either way % max HP monsters will be added too

Just get bunch of healing pots and always use the shield. If really want it, best way is duping world until you find at least few big mushroom.

I very disappointed about this boss i hope he will dash to side i you must use dash to nat get hit not jumping
