I remember when I first played this game and finally came face to face against Mysterio. With his health bar going up multiple times I expected some grand boss battle where he used his skills of effects and robotics to warp reality or something. When I finally ran up to him and took him down with one hit I just sat there in silent shock. Looking back I realized he had no money left to do any of his effects which is why he was robbing the store but at the time it was such a mind F that I didn't know what to say.
I love the design on that costume how it looks almost like in the movie, I have all the Spider-Man movie video games on PS2 since my childhood. Brings back memories looking at the cutscenes is a nostalgia act.
For a 20 year old game, incredible upscaling. Hope the mod community can keep at it with this game and one day make it look and feel exactly like a next gen title.

Something I love about this fan-remaster is that the main suit looks SOOO MUCH BETTER. The original suit on PS2 looked so muddy and muted. This mod fixes that issue by making it more vibrant and movie-accurate. Absolutely peak
Watching this after beating Marvel SM2 and it feels like this ancient game portrays everyday life as Peter Parker better than the newer games. For example Daily Bugle Missions where he can just walk around, get bullied by Jonah etc. These are not just cutscenes added to say “See?? He’s a superhero, but he is also a human being with problems!!” and 30 seconds after he jumps out of the window to stop some supervillain. In this game Peter-only moments feel like equal parts of the game.
I love how he don't touch the building as he swinging, uses different combo, and take out the goon before fighting the bosses. Make me feel like this Spider-Man playing himself
During my multiple rewatching of your playthroughs I also had another idea of a game you could play with mods. The Punisher game from 2005 it's a really good game with Thomas Jane voicing The Punisher himself and veteran Punisher writer Garth Ennis wrote the story. There are even comic book cameos from other Marvel characters.

This is supposed to match the xbox? I mean it looks nice, but it's a bit too shiny, glistens too much. I played the original xbox version and it was basically a smoother looking gamecube version with extra frills.

You know what would be a cool idea? They remaster all 3 games, but you stay the same Spiderman, as the story continues? You not only get stronger and have new techniques, but the villains get as strong as you. With new spider senses, new swinging moves, and fighting that must fit with each boss. Each time skip that goes on? The city becomes new and expansive.
