Swedish health care is very safe especially delivery. I recently had a baby in hospital(now 2 months) but my experience was very positive that it makes me want a 3rd one.The care i got from midwives was out of this world. MAYA count your self Lucky that you are having a baby in Sweden

I would recommend the following podcasts: 1) "The Birth Hour" - women telling their birth stories - all kinds of births including home births 2) "Evidence based birth" - helpful info to know to advocate for the kind of birth you want
My preggo craving: canteloupe. No morning sickness. Did prenatal classes; forgot everything when he was popping out. Water didn't break so they had to manually pop it. Was in yoga class when I started labor; felt like poopy stomach pain. Delivered 2 hrs. after labor onset. In retrospect, my advice about pregnancy: wing it.
Travel while the child is young but when middle school comes that is when the child makes friends that they go to high school with. Travel from birth to end of elementary. I did that and the transition was good. Then every summer we travel for long periods as a family. Congrats again you will be wonderful parents!!! Mya I have been following you since New York days😀
That’s great advice. I want to travel and move overseas with my 20 month old starting next year but I wondered about moving overseas when he was 5 or 6. First grade. So I think I’ll go for it.

Had my baby in September of 2020 and you literally never stop worrying that something goes wrong. I still, with a 6 month old, have to force myself to not google every little thing. It’s always a chance something can go wrong even after birth but just live in the experience and trust the journey is exactly what you were supposed to go through. Congrats!!!!! 🧡
Maya & Max, I think y’all would get so much inspiration and grounding from The Bucket List Family. They have 3 children & all of them have grown up traveling with their parents. Their children’s level of education & mind-body connection is beautiful to see.
Congratulations! One of my friends who runs her own magazine and has been in the internet spotlight since...2006? does a great job of showing her babies without showing their faces. She'll show the cute shoes and them playing with their toys from behind, but unless you've seen her in person you have no idea what her kids look like and I love that. For keeping her own boundaries and for safety reasons. But if you choose to share your whole baby with the world I won't fault you either. We know y'all will find a great balance. 🎊

With all 5 of my pregnancies I never let the fear take over. I kept Happy Healthy thoughts and took advantage of All of the Special Attention that was shown to me. I pray that you can do the same and ENJOY the highs and the wonderful journey that you two are on. Peace and Blessings to you both.
Maya I think it's so lovely that you take Max in to consideration with your birth plans! I live in Holland and it's more common to give birth at home and I've heard great things. I've given birth in the hospital 3 times though which I positively look back at.
Congrats. It's so awesome that Max is reading as well....you guys are gonna rock this. My husband also read the book(the know how book on birth- there's a Kindle version)we used, there was a specific section that shows practical things for the partners to do...my midwives said he did great and worked harder than them lol....best Doula:). It was great to have him know exactly all the things to do per time especially in the heat of the moment, when my brain wasn't all together lol. We had 1 hospital birth with midwives, was awesome, like just renting a hospital room without the hospital hustle. And we've been blessed to be able to have another unplanned home birth. It was sooo awesome....our midwives in Ottawa were equipped with a level 1 hospital if needed and ability to transfer to hospital as needed....

This was wonderful to watch! Our daughter is 21 and I’m still the “bad” cop, and hubby is the “good cop”. Lol Regarding sharing your baby on socials (or being an influencer), there is a guy here on RUclips (he lives in Canada) who talks about this. If you want to check him out (my suggestion is watch his earlier vids): He has 2 channels, but the one that digs deep into this is called ‘The Dad Challenge Podcast”. He makes VERY valid points about this.

We traveled like crazy until our kid started first grade. Now we only vacation on holidays, summer, or spring break with the masses 😞I always preferred off season travel on MY terms . Best thing would be to plan for homeschooling in my opinion.

Congratulations guys!!! You're going to be super parents. I have 3 children (22, 15 & 12) & I'm 42. My husband and I agree that they were all born beautiful. The 1st thing we did was count their toes and fingers, listened to their heartbeats, held them closely, inhaled their sweet baby odor, rubbed their tender heads and marveled at how gorgeous they were. Now let me tell you something. I don't care who disagrees. Having children is the greatest gift of all. You better look at them and know that they are physically beautiful. God did not create the flowers and trees and mountains and beaches for us to say "oh, that's a smart looking tree". He created ALL for us admire and marvel at. That includes us and our offspring. Now I do understand what you mean by the billions of internet posts that these sweets babies did not sign up for. LOL That's an entirely different thing and a big problem. All 3 of my children were born healthy, strong and smart. They continue to be this way now. It's okay to want a beautiful child. As parents we want many things for our children and wanting good looks isn't shallow unless that's the ONLY thing you want. You don't have to focus on the physical aspect but you do need to encourage your children with physical compliments as well as doing and being compliments. I'm not saying it's balance. Balance is fiction. It's more like you're appealing to the "whole" person. Not just part of them.
If you're in a good place financially, you can always have a child on your own. When the right person comes along they can just join your family. I just turned 30 and that's my plan for this year.

Congratulations to you both. You and Max are already doing great as expectant parents. The fact that you're both reading and so open is great. Also, prenatal massages are so awesome. I definitely recommend it. Showing your little one on social media is a touchy subject. As much a they are cute and adorable, I just remember that my child is till her own person. I'd say be selective about what you share. Not every moment with your child should be for public consumption. Some moments should be for your little family. All the best to you. My mom gave birth to 5 of her children at home with a midwife, in the Caribbean. The 6th was born in a hospital. We are all good ... decades later. 🤗

For me, bringing a child into the world without their consent would be a much more overwhelming decision than vlogging them without their consent.

Congratulations to you both. You and Max are already doing great as expectant parents. The fact that you're both reading and so open is great. Also, prenatal massages are so awesome. I definitely recommend it. Showing your little one on social media is a touchy subject. As much a they are cute and adorable, I just remember that my child is till her own person. I'd say be selective about what you share. Not every moment with your child should be for public consumption. Some moments should be for your little family. All the best to you. I feel a little crazy bc I commented on the Instagram post first then I saw it on Facebook and got excited again then saw it on the shameless channel and now we’re here. It’s just crazy bc I’ve been watching since before you cut your hair and I was idk 14-15 and now I’m 24. It doesn’t seem like it’s been this long. #Growth there has been so much growth. Birthing center is another option, it's one l used..I had a midwife to deliver my baby in NYC in a birthing center.

I would suggest the book Having a Baby, Naturally by Peggy O'Mara of Mothering Magazine or similar book on doing things the natural and holistic way during pregnancy and child birth.
I'm late looking at this vlog since I've been busy. Those are some great books, Maya and Max, that I'm going to have to check out when I get pregnant with my future husband & I's child.
