i love how you dispatch those iron guards and axewielders and how you abuse the fairy through doors. esp love the bgm n watching this kind of gameplay. idc wat ppl say about TAS runs, theyre fun
This game sucked ass. The game's probably fine in concept, but the simple fact that every single time you game over, you get sent back to the palace destroyed any sense of enjoyment I had with the game. It's one thing when a game's hard, but to put in stupid bullshit like that to pad out the game's length is unacceptable. I spend half my time with the game just walking back to where I last died.
2:00 imagine your in the basement and have to turn off all the lights and then run out (because you’re afraid of the dark) but instead of a basement it was a mansion filled with LEGO’s
Thinking about this lore makes me question the motives. I get that Link is supposed to be "the Hero", but think about this: The first game Link had to collect the pieces of the Triforce of Courage to fight against Gannon's Triforce of Power. In this one, Link is trying to collect the Triforce of Wisdom; and ultimately bestows it upon Princess Zelda. But... shouldn't Zeeeelda be the one to go get it? I mean... it's inherently supposed to be her mark. Granted, this was 1980, and god forbid we have a woman protagonist other than Samus, and most of what Zelda would go through would probably be puzzle related because... Triforce of WISDOM, and I doubt people would be ok with just a Zelda Puzzle Game (HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA) at this time and age. But even if she were to run around with a sword, the inherent thing about this game is placing mythical stones in several locations to drop a barrier, gathering spells and weapon enhancements -- but mostly magical artifacts and magical spells, which would be a great transition into Zelda learning how to use her magical abilities to combat and seal the darkness. And in order to get the Triforce, she'd have to combat the darkness within her own heart to prove that she's worthy of the Triforce. Instead, we get Link who just goes out shopping, and comes back with a Triforce for Zelda while she's still asleep.
I think you got the year wrong (1980). The NES didn't even come out until late 1985 and Legend of Zelda (The first one) didn't debut until 1986. The sequel which you brought up came out a year later, so unless they made a version of Zelda II for the Atari 2600, which I doubt because they'd have to make a prequel for timeline purposes, you're off by seven years :P
I'm shocked. 4 life bars??? Holy f... Also how did they not get pushed a block back after exiting a lvl after the spider?? I always got pushed back. I never could have skipped those parts... Also the one thing that this game annoyed me with was the ending... Zelda claimed link was a real hero.... O so he wasn't a hero when he saved her from Ganon a few years ago?? Poor link. What's a guy gotta do to get some recognition....

After all the shenanigans involving the Lost Woods, Link has decided to clear cut all forests in his way. With a hammer.
Link took a sidegig working for the Brazilian government it seems
Amazing run, funny glitches too!
I keep blinking at the wrong time and missing all the boss fights.

Nice; I actually like this game despite the hate it usually gets.
I honestly dont get why people hate on this game. It was a sequel to a game.
I like this game until I try playing it again
It gets a lot of hate because most people can’t beat it, probably.

What LMAO
All these years, I never knew you could destroy forests with the hammer. Wow!
*walks up to old woman* "..." *walks into her house* Towns people only trust Elves with Green Glowsticks
*Zelda II except Link can't stop time travelling.*
4:35 - This part scared me when I was five.
I cannot believe what he did to those Iron Knuckles
this epic but now i wanna see a speed run of the wand of gamelon
Omg, is this were the temple theme comes from, for the melee stage
Tried replaying this without looking up the secrets on Google, thought I was a pro player..
Enter TASbot
Long live the down-air
I still look at link and wonder.. Where is all his body . part of him is missing & he holds the shield as if it where a "will work for food" sigh..
30:07 - 30:12 music kicking in
9:06 lmao
Bravo! *slow clap*
How did you get to fight your shadow and not bother fighting thunderbird? Are the skipping the bridge scenes and similar possible without tools?
I liked this game but I would have loved a repel spell for attackers.
Dark link got owned
9:07 here comes the boss fight. 9:08, thats it?
amazing, no one in Hyrule knows how to make a damn candle, you have to get one from a dungeon.
So soon??

Why didn't they use the L+R trick?
This is a no-L+R run.
@@SeppelSquirrel no when you press left and right at the same time it freaks the game out and you can go at warp speed
@@danielhetrick3435 Correct. In the description they say this is a speedrun version that doesn't use the L+R trick.
Wouldn't that be impossible on real hardware? With an altered controller, sure, but it was never intended in the first place
