To echo a previous comment, it does seem like the Bears/Queens think there's something magic in players that have come through the Green Bay system. There may be "some" truth in that. Problem both of those teams have NO IDEA what to do with any player with talent. Honestly, I was a little unsettled when they traded for K-Mack. I thought he was going to be a one man NFC wrecking crew. Never materialized. I know, he wasn't from GB but you get the idea. Chi-Town and the Sin Twitties haven't got a clue. How many decades have the Queens specialized in self-destruction? How many high draft choices or trades for top shelf player have the Bears squandered? I liked Bobby, best of luck to HIM. I rest my case. And thanks Luke (sub number's lookin' good)!
No big deal - both Kraft and Musgrave are better than Tonyan. Not trying to put Tonyan down, but it's not like the Vikes have somehow pried a critical player loose from the Packer!
he didn’t do anything with the Bears….Vikings want a camp body with an inside scoop on the pack. LOL. They’ll be Skolling away, all the way into the toilet 🤣
In the ongoing saga of NFC North rivalries, the Minnesota Vikings penchant for recruiting former Green Bay Packers players remains a notable trend, a storyline that never fails to stir the pot. The Vikings fondness for signing ex-Packers players, cited ostensibly as strategic moves, often appears to fans as a quest for sweet revenge or at the very least, as a provocative gesture to incite our Green Bay Packers rivals. This trend shows no signs of abating with their latest acquisition. The Vikings have officially added our former tight end Robert Tonyan to their roster. Robert Tonyan, well-known for his tenure with the Packers, has now donned the colors of all 4 NFC North teams- a career trajectory making him a seasoned veteran of the division’s intense rivalries. Initially signed as a free agent by the Detroit Lions, Robert Tonyan’s NFL journey began without him seeing game action for the Lions, but it was Green Bay that he made his mark. After a short stint with the Chicago Bears last year, Robert Tonyan finds himself in Minnesota, continuing the tradition of Packers-turned-Vikings. This movement, however, raises questions about its utility for the Vikings. Since his impressive 11-touchdown season in 2020 when he was a Packer, Robert Tonyan’s performance has witnessed a slump. Over his final 2 seasons with Green Bay, his contribution dwindled to 71 catches for 674 yards and just 4 touchdowns. His time in Chicago did little to reverse this declining trend, with a meager total of 11 catches for 112 yards in 2023. This decrease in productivity makes the Vikings decision to sign him somewhat perplexing, especially considering the existing talent within their squad. Adding Robert Tonyan might offer depth for the Vikings, possibly as a precautionary measure should T.J Hockenson’s availability be compromised at the season’s outset. Yet, Robert Tonyan’s recent record hardly makes him a guaranteed asset. His career highlights, including 6 touchdowns across 69 games apart from his standout 2020 season, paint the picture of a player who has struggled to consistently impact the scoreboard. The Vikings strategy of bringing in our former Packers players does ignite discussions and debates among fans, especially given the heated rivalry between the 2 franchises. While some moves may be driven by a strategic aim to fortify the team, others seem to be fueled by the dynamics of rivalry and the narrative of revenge. Whatever the motivation is, the tradition of ex-Packers players marching into Minnesota continues, and with Robert Tonyan’s signing, the saga adds yet another chapter. Whether this particular plot twist yields success on the field or merely adds to the lore of the NFC North drama, only time will tell. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
Let's talk about Packers that get us to the Super Bowl, it's been 14 years and getting old rehashing UFA' guys that got us what??!! Sissy boy Watson has to be on a very short leash!!
Tbh good for him though .. wish him the best even was a huge fan of him when we had him.. love our new TE duo now
Musgrave and Kraft are gonna take another step this year. Go Pack Go!
Rodgers made him look good
Vikings and bears both love taking former packers. Feels like it happens all the time.
Ya they think it will help them. But we know them more than anyone does so bring it on
Right, I'm sick of seeing it, go to the AFC!🤷🏾♂️
Nice update thanks.
Tonyon was dope af at first.
He never recovered from the injury
He still has an opportunity to go to the New York Packers next year.

Leave him alone. He's already with the Minnesota Packers
NOBODY WAS BETTER THAN FINLEY!
Too early to call but these rookies seem to be heading the right direction

Vikings are like yeah we are a last-place team and the Packers are better so lets just troll.
Except Jones and Tonyan don’t have as much tread left on the tires 🛞 at least compared to the Packers younger guys.

Love big bob tonyan
It's funny that a backup, maybe even a third string TE, is a conversation piece with you and the NFL. Seems like there's not a lot going on 🤷♂️
After his injury he couldn't get separation anymore
Who? Never heard of her.
Vikings - where former Packers careers die!
