    I love how Catherine is very inconsiderate of Caleb's pet peeves. Of course, Caleb could've gotten some fast food, therefore avoiding the argument, but geez, at least be sympathetic to the idea that he has to see fires all the time and smell smoke. He's probably taken in so much of it that a simple scented candle's gonna annoy him.
    Also, Caleb's right about the whole "Catherine not leaving him some food" thing.

      My mother and step father saw this in the theaters already determined it would not change their mind about getting a divorce. It would suck to still have that step father just because Mike Seever anonymously donated large amounts to his mother in law.

    @hkitty182 I have to agree with you on that. In acting quality, it probably would have been better if it was a miniseries instead. However, it's times like this when you must look past the movie's short comings and value the message it leaves behind.

    I was forced to watch this movie in highschool, this scene in particular always baffled me - I still can't believe she ate the entire pizza, when it comes to pizza you should never assume. If this movie taught me anything, its that true love = saving the last slice of pizza for your significant other.

    This made her seem petty but she is dealing with a man who watches prrnographt and intimidates and threatens her. These are HUGE red flags of abuse. Typical for people to criticize HER for not "handling it well."

    Michael and John were both right in telling Caleb what they did. And Michael is a firefighter co-worker of his! I can't stand those high fights! 1:45 Now here is a retortion because I dislike that--I am not one to make that cornering in an argument! CALEB, YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID "KEEP TALKING! I LOVE YOU, YOU RESPECTFUL, GRATEFUL, SELFLESS WOMAN!" AND "THANK YOU FOR LOOKING OUT FOR ME. YOU CONSTANTLY NAG ME AND YOU DRAIN THE LIFE OUT OF ME! I APPRECIATE IT!" But WHY CORNER HER OUT OF ANGER AND ABUSE HER THAT WAY?! JUST BECAUSE SHE WAS UNFAIR WITH HER ACTIONS DOESN'T MAKE YOU BE FAIR WITH YOURS! PLEASE, HAVE RESPECT FOR YOUR SPOUSE IN A FIGHT, AND DO NOT CORNER HER! For anyone who triggers abusive behavior, NEVER corner your spouse! That will tell him or her you don't want him or her anymore.

    Of course it uses one scenario, and it's Christian-based because that's the kind of movie it is.

    This whole movie pretty much seemed to be directed at the guy - what HE was doing wrong, how HE needed to change. Don't get me wrong - I believe in what it's trying to teach about staying together in marriage, but as per usual in our anti-male culture (even in Christian circles), it's all about what the guy did wrong, how he needs to quit being so selfish, and love his wife, and cherish her. Hardly any emphasis on how she needed to change. In your average church, if you go into one on Mother's Day Sunday, you're going to hear all about how wonderful mothers are, but on Father's Day, you're going to hear all about all the deadbeat dads and how they're letting society down. Yeah, Caleb was wrong to snap and should have been kinder and gentler with her, but she should have been more respectful to him. She claimed he didn't communicate with her about dinner, so why didn't she call and text to ask instead of just assume he wasn't coming home to dinner. In my experience, if you don't say anything then, mom or the wife assumes you WILL be home for dinner. And Caleb was right earlier when she was saying that there were things around the house that needed to be fixed were preferences. Painting the door, "better landscaping," and more shelves in the closest are not needs.

    This scene had a few bad lines, acting could've never saved it.

    • @mihha92
      @mihha92 5 лет назад

      Disagree. Script is not so bad, but acting is kinda shit. The lines are not the problem here. You would be surpised what a good actor can do even without words
