- In this video I will show you how to make box from recycled newspaper with my own hands. In this diy I will craft and decorate with using newspaper and glue gun.

Cut newspapers into strips 10 cm wide.
Twisted into tubes using a wooden stick.
The tip was glued with white glue.
Twisted 2 circles and cut the edges.
For the walls I used newspaper sheets so that the walls were flat.
The lid was fixed in a half-round state using hot glue and a newspaper tube.
I tried to clearly demonstrate this process in the video.
To fix the lid and the main part, I used a straw and a wooden skewer.
Alternating glued the tubes in a checkerboard pattern to the lid and to the base.
It was painted with acrylic paint in two colors: black and yellow.

One of my favorite videos. I think I like it unpainted better.
Great project idea! I love the unpainted look especially, or perhaps just a light wash on the papers to antique them. I would especially seek out a variety of free sources of papers for colors and patterns.

I’d like to see how this looks with fabric instead of paper. Maybe a mismatch of various fabrics that coordinate with each other, so you get that same eclectic look as you did before painting the newspaper. I also agree with the other comments: I like the project better before it was painted. Or maybe add the pearls/beads to the box after it’s painted for some additional contrast. Neat project though, and you clearly have an amazing amount of patience!

@@debracarter7290 it would be too easy to ruin with wetness or with wet hands, because such paper easily absorbs any moisture, i think paint makes it more water resistant
I agree Dorothy Reis. And I think I'd paint it white....or maybe red on the inside.

The newsprint gave it a quilted look.

Bundles of newspaper tied with string and soaked in water are the best pesticide. I put such bundles all about my garden and the bugs lived and ate the newspapers and left my plants alone.
When they tried I through them in my burning barrel. Hundreds of earwigs and other things.
