    Hello again!! so first i want to say thanks to you and your recipes, ive finally had a lot of success with my homemade cosmetics! i followed your eyeliner recipe and it came out perfect!!! lasted all day long chasing my children, running errands, & my night time run! ive also made a concealer from this recipe and of course it came out perfect! i had a couple more questions and i hope im not being a pest, but i was wondering if you could give me some advice on how to add my powder foundation that i made to a moisturizer? i know you made a video on adding your mineral one and i tried that with mine, but there were little specks through out it even after mixing forever and then mixing in my fp. i was thinking maybe its because theres something in my mineral powder or maybe the lotion im using?(which is homemade olive oil and jojoba oil and beeswaxs). also, for my final question, can you pleease do a homemade mascara recipe? mine just doesnt have a good smear proof quality to it:(. its thickening and lengthening, but thats the only good about it.lol but when i try other recipes i read/see online, (charcoal & aloe Vera gel, Vaseline etc..) dont really make much difference and i dont use Vaseline:(. and when i try to experiment with my own ideas, i waste so much of my products:(. i feel like im on the right track, and feel like theres just one thing missing or that needs to go.lol anyways, so sorry for the book.lol and thank you again!!!

      Hi Kat!
      I'm very glad you're enjoying my recipes! :D
      I'm sorry your liquid foundation is not coming out right. Let's go through it and check a few things.
      1) Is your lotion oil based or water based?
      I wouldn't use a water based one (or aloe vera based one) as that may cause some weird reactions.
      So I would suggest you to use an oil based one and also make sure it doesn't contain any alcohol, because it's very bad for your eye area.
      If you're using a homemade one, maybe there's an issue with the chemical composition. I would suggest you to try buy a natural one from a store and try adding the mineral powder in that one.
      Also I wouldn't go for a lotion, because they are very liquid and normally water based and with alcohol, so I would go for a face cream. Preferably fragrance free.
      2) Yes! I will certainly do a mascara recipe in the next couple of weeks! ;) Don't you worry!
      Thank you for asking Kat! Have a good one! x

    thank you so much! i just tried using an oil based one and came out perfect! idk why i never thought to use oil based. i was just trying to see what best fit the consistency of my liquid foundation i used to use and rushed into things without thinking. i was so stuck until now. thank you again for being so wonderful and helping me once again. i hope im not being a pain. im just so passionate about getting my home all natural and make up was one of the hardest things for my personal use to give up because i couldnt get a few recipes to work. you have been a real blessing through my journey becoming natural. thank you again! i am so excited for the mascara video!!! ive made sure my notification is on and will be watching for it!! lol

    oh and if I may ask, where did you get your melter pot from??? it's the perfect size for me!! I only make small batches as I need for the most part and I have been using a little wax warmer that has been working great for the most part, however, for some of the things I make, it is just a bit too small, but anything else ove found has been too big. this one is seriously exactly the size I need.

    What an amazing recipe! Just wanted to know if I can swap shea butter with beeswax?? Also for how many days could I store this diy foundation and do i need to refrigerate this??

    • @lorenaxavier995
      @lorenaxavier995 5 лет назад

      No. Shea butter is a lot softer. It has a different texture. Shea butter needs a not so high temperature to melt while you need a looot higher temperature to melt the wax. It needs to melt with the temperature of your skin to look good on it.

    • @lorenaxavier995
      @lorenaxavier995 5 лет назад

      You need to refrigerate only if you live in a really hot place otherwise it will melt on the room temperature.

    Thanks for this video....Its so easy to understand. How do I get achieve a darker shade, I am very dark as in cocoa shade. Will I add more of Red iron oxide and Yellow Iron Oxide? Love ya😍

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  7 лет назад +5

      Hi there! If your shade is close to cocoa I would suggest to leave out completely the red and the yellow iron oxides, and add instead a combination of brown and black iron oxides. It seems a bit extreme, but trust me it works.
      For the quantities though you'll have to go by trial and error, since I've never made one.
      Just start with a pinch of each mixed with the zinc oxide, and then add more as you go, by trying it every time you add more, until you'll reach the desired shade.

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  7 лет назад +1

      You just have to reduce the amount of Yellow and Red Iron Oxides. Start with just the Zinc Oxide and add pinches of the other two little by little. Adding a little more of them until you're satisfied.

  • @lilian4901

    Hello there! Your recipe looks great, but I 'm wondering if it has enough coverage for dark circles, since you don't have any and I can't tell if it would really work.. Also, does it last without turning all oily during the day- with the powder on top of course? And lastly, what is the purpose of vitamin E oil? Is it a preservative? Can I use something else instead? I 'm asking because I don't have any of the oxides, neither jojoba and vit. E oils so I need to buy those, but they are a bit expensive. I guess I can replace jojoba with almond or coconut oil, or if I choose to buy it at least I can still use it as it is just like the rest of my oils, but I don't want to buy vitamin E just for the 1 drop I 'll use for this recipe.. I have orange and rosemary essential oils, which as I read are natural preservatives, so if vit E is for preservation, can I use those instead?

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  6 лет назад

      Hello There! The coverage depends on the quantity of Zinc Oxide you'll use, since the more you use the more it will be covering, but then if you use too much it'll be cakey. So finding the right balance is very important.
      It will last without turning oily, if you use foundation powder on top.
      Vitamin E is an antioxidant and its main purpose is to prevent your oil based products from turning rancid. It's not really a preservative. You can try to use essential oils that have antioxidant properties. Of course you can use Rosemary e.o. if you don't mind the smell. I like the rosemary scent in my food, but I'm not too sure about my makeup.
      Yes, of course, you can use almond oil instead of jojoba oil. I'm not sure about coconut oil. First of all cause it goes solid at certain temperatures and also cause it's very dry and I don't know if it would work in a makeup recipe. But you are free to experiment, of course.

      Yes, you definitely can!! I've chosen Jojoba because it's really good for regulating sebum production, which is kind of what you need in a concealer, but you can use whatever liquid oil you want.

      Hey lovely! There's no need to keep it in the fridge. The important is to keep it in a cool spot, away from heat and sunlight. If you store it that way it should last minimum 3 months, but mine last for a lot more than that.

    I tried this recipe but it still has an orange/reddish tint to it. How did you get yours to match you skin tone?

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Leah! I've had the same problem at the beginning. The trick is: add the red for last, and while you're adding it try it on your skin. What I mean is ad a tiny bit in (less than the recommended dose), then mix it up and try it on your skin straightaway (before letting it set). And keep adding it bits by bits and mixing it up until you're happy with it. Don't add it all at once. The red is a tricky one! It's super pigmented and it can make or break a recipe.
      Another trick is: always try it on your face skin, never on the back of your hand. The rest of the body has a different skin colour from your face one.
      Hope this helps! Good Luck!

    What is the purpose of using zinc oxide? Is it just a base? Is there something else you can use? Using zinc concerns me as it is a possible immune system toxin. Just curious. Thanks!

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  7 лет назад +3

      Hi Aurianna!
      This is a good question.
      Here the purpose of using zinc is to use it as a white base for your concealer.
      But of course, if zinc concerns you, you can use any other mineral white colour in the same quantity as a substitute. Hope this helps!

    I liked and subscribed and have been watching and enjoying your tutorials. Thanks! But I haven't heard you mention titanium dioxide yet and I was wondering if there were a specific reason?

      Yes, there is a specific reason for not using titanium dioxide. It's because it is very dangerous if inhaled, and can cause serious health problems. If it's already in a liquid foundation it's fine, but the powder is quite difficult to handle. I prefer not to risk it, and I don't want people at home to risk it either.

    how would you make it darker? would you add cocoa powder?

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  7 лет назад +3

      Yes, you can use cocoa powder. Or you can use black and brown oxide powder.

    I’d be careful using zinc and iron oxide because they are basically metals that the body doesn’t utilize and can build up. Body absorbs it and its not bioavailable. Can cause a huge mineral imbalance. Maybe try natural pigments like beet root, cacao powder. Thanks for sharing your recipe

    The safety of oxides seem to be a gray area tho...

    is this fully natural with ingredients that would not need to be testing prior to product selling?

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  7 лет назад

      It all depends on the provenience of the ingredients you're using Kerry. The one I've made is made with natural ingredients. But if you're gonna be selling a product you'll need to submit it to testing anyway, in order to get a certification.

      Even if it's made of all natural ingredients and no chemicals?

    • @allaorganics2365
      @allaorganics2365  7 лет назад

      Positive. Even if it's all natural, you still need permission to sell a product. Especially something people are gonna use on their bodies.

    The cream you applied is lighter colored than the one that was prepared. You're also more fair-skinned than the person who made the cream
