Moodys did an analysis of Trump's economic policies and determined that they would plunge America into a depression (not a recession, a depression) whereas the policies Harris has put forth would actually strengthen our economy AND help to reduce the deficit (Trump and co added $8Trillion in 4 years...). I have seen and heard many, many conventions in my nearly 7 decades of living in America as a native son of 8 generations who came here some 300 years ago. My 4th great grandfather fought against The British Crown in North Carolina's Battle of Alamance as a "regulator" long before the "first shot" of The Revolutionary War. My 2nd great grandfather left North Carolina and went to Indiana looking for new possibilities for his growing family as a Blacksmith in the new westward frontier. He would defend equality for ALL people and end slavery in America by fighting the secessionist Southern traitors of our Constitution by joining the The Indiana 79th Infantry of the Union Army. My grandpa would be a Marine in World War One, an original "Devil Dog" of the fighting 6th Regiment, 97th company. He understood that aggression by ANY country was aggression to ALL countries. I would never get to meet him as he succumbed to his injuries to his lungs when he was gassed by the Germans. My mother, his only child, made sure I knew and told his story which I do now as a proud volunteer at the National World War One Museum and Memorial. My father joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Medusa for 4 years in nearly every major sea battle in the Pacific Ocean. Father would be be stopped loss, called back to duty from civilian life, to the Navy for another 4 years during the Korean War serving as Quarter Master 3. I share all this because Kamala Harris's speech is one the the BEST speeches I have ever heard from a Convention Floor for a Presidential candidate.
She makes me PROUD, again, of my own military service (10 years in Navy and USAF ANG) and BEING an American. I am so sick and tired of the clown, Trump, who has denigrated this nation of service, courage and sacrifice. He has said outrageous and despicable things about our military and, especially, those who were wounded or gave their lives. His statements about the late Sen. John McCain and his service were totally against EVERYTHING this nation stands for and represents in our military's code of honor. Trump doesn't know (or experienced) one thing about SERVICE to others and our nation. NOT ONE DAMN THING! All he wants to serve is his OWN frail ego, his status as a man of money (which he was BORN into and didn't work one day for it!!!) and, of course, taking advantage of women...a RAPIST. Trump is the ugliest thing I have EVER witnessed in this countries government. I would vote for Nixon 100 times before considering this con artist. SHAME on those who voted for him...SHAME on those who support him today. Let's bring back DIGNITY, CHARACTER, HONESTY, COURAGE, SACRIFICE, SERVICE, COMPASSION, LAW, RESPECT this November.
