Nixxiom, you should read "The Legend of the Ice People" series by Margit Sandemo. It’s right up your alley. 47 (!) books, set in Scandinavia, huge folk fantasy influence, but with historical events happening in the background. It spans across a few centuries, and multiple generations of a family, so you should be prepared for the main character changing every few books.
It could also serve as an inspiration for your own book.

I had problems with audio years ago. Think around wod. Had no audio, ended up being addon related. Updated and restarted abd it fixed it.
