UPDATE: As requested, I've finally gotten around to uploading this with no music, just pure creepy ambience :) ruclips.net/video/QEQRt3N5kP0/видео.html
oh. my. god. THANK YOU so much!! this is incredible; it really feels as if i'm in those tunnels (and i cannot tell how many Bioshock's ambiences I've watched)! great great job!
Gotta say, this ambience was done better than some other ones I've listened to. The sounds are gentler and less intrusive. Makes it an easier listen, and doesn't distract you from thinking to yourself or working on something at the same time. Well done!
Thank you so much! And I agree, I started making videos like this because I think there's a real art to getting that balance right. I don't like them as much of they're too distracting but I don't like them boring either 😂 I'm so picky, so I thought I'd just make my own so they can be just as I like them ☺️
Funny I have been getting recommended out of nowhere, people are uploading Bioshock ambients more recently and old videos are getting new comments. Its almost like people in early 2021 yearn for a city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality, where the great would not be constrained by the small!
I couldn't agree more. This is exactly what people are wanting. But don't be fooled, as the Bible says, there's nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9). We see as far back as the garden with Eve, enticed by the serpent, wanting , just as Satan himself did (Isaiah 14:12-21), to be God (Genesis 3:5). We see it again in the forerunner to the city of Rapture in the plains of Shinar at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9). They don't want to be constrained by "petty morality". Morality is the finger print of God, His Law which is written on our hearts (Romans 2:15). We don't want to be constrained by it because we want, as Andrew Ryan says, to be god. Ryan is only echoing the Bible (John 3:19). Art imitates life, and there is a certain profoundness to the art and story of Bioshock. In their pursuit to "kill" God they actually achieve it in their own minds, which if you've played the game, doesn't go well. Their Godless society literally implodes on itself. Again, art imitates life. Jesus claims to be the "truth" when He says in John 14:6 "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” We live in a world that is systematically deconstructing Truth (current post-modernism), which in essence, is attempting to deconstruct God. As art imitated life in Bioshock so too does the world seem to be imploding before our very eyes. We can hear the creaking and crackling of rust covered walls and glass buckling under the pressure of our own vices; sin. All the while, just down the corridor, people are being drained of the very essence of life in their veins, yet we keep our masks on, sip our martinis and turn the music up to drown out the reality unfolding around us. But as the people of rapture said, if only something could be done about the stench. As an artist myself I believe that God speaks to us through art in subtle and sometimes not so subtle ways. A short video that communicates God's message to you through art, but more importantly through His Living Word, that addresses what Ryan said about the "the great [not being] constrained by the small". Am I "great" or am I "small"? www.livingwaters.com/are-you-a-good-person/ I hope I see you in Heaven one day my dear friend. Where you approach me and say, "Hello, you don't know me, but I'm here because you took the time to share a short video on RUclips...". What a day that will be. God bless... "Woe to them that are at ease in Zion..." (Amos 6:1) but "... believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved... (Acts 16:31)
I want a Bioshock game where you play as a Little Sister, I really enjoyed that Little Sister gameplay part in Bioshock 2 and wanna continue on that idea. Maybe you could customize how your Sister looks, which Protector you want, and after customizing you get to run around Rapture gathering ADAM while your Big Daddy protects you, then crawling around in the vents and hanging out with the other Sisters and Dr. Tenenbaum. Maybe you can also help out Eleanor Lamb and do tasks, there’s so much you could do! I’d enjoy that so much.
This is fantastic! Thank you so much! I really like the added effect of the Big Daddy in the distance :) Makes me feel like I'm sitting by one of the windows just listening to the city. I do have a question though. Every Rapture ambience I've seen includes lyrical music, as does yours. Would it be possible to do one with instrumentals? It's just that I'm working on a fanfic and it's so helpful to have something like this in the background for immersion, but I find myself skipping to the parts with no music or without lyrics since lyrics screw me up while writing... It's fine if not! Was just an idea.

When “if I didn’t care” by the ink spots came in my heart felt that deep nostalgic hit. Good job 👍
So glad you enjoyed it!
Rapture is perhaps the most unique place i have ever seen. The game is a masterpiece and so its never ending lore!
Agreed
The perfect blend of calmness, eerieness and nostalgia!
I wish we could get theme parks dedicated to all three Bioshock games...I'd make that a yearly tradition to go to those parks.
Arrgghh that would be amazing
This is actually an amazing idea, too bad it would probably fail horribly
Fell asleep to this last night. Never been so relaxed in my life. Not sure if this is that good or if psychopath 🤷🏽♂️
Haha either way so glad it helped!

Could definitely do with less of the Ayn Rand IRL as well tbh 🤣
@@grumble I'm here to enjoy the sounds of a post-Randian burial at sea ;)

@@glad8tor424 I feel like this game is probably more about highly unregulated capitalism and the likes of that than some sort of pro-religion message
