Another lovely cruise, Julie! I l like how wide this part of the Grand Union Canal is especially for the scenic qualities, but it also means we get to see so many unusual boats. I find it kind of fascinating to see all the creativity people employ in crafting their boaty homes. Also, BIG congratulations on making it to 4,000 subscribers!
Hi Chris, yes the Grand Union canal is lovely and wide, almost river-like in places and some of the boats are fantastic! There are some really quirky boats and some really huge widebeam boats, bet they are like palaces inside! We love the diversity of the boating community too, we get to meet people from all walks of life, something we never would have if we had stayed in a house. Thank you so much for your continued support Chris, it really means so much to us xx
Such a wonderful blog - great relaxation at the end of a busy day at work. Rhapsody always looks so beautiful, thanks to all the work you two put in. Enjoy your cruise!
Hi guys, so lovely seeing some nice weather, beautiful blue sky's and green landscape. Martin did a great job on the front button, good idea using a go cart wheel, as my old dad used to say.........Just like a bought one.😂 Stay safe guys.👍🏻👍🏻
Nice music, really adds something to the lovely scenery. Tesco interferes with the poetry of the day but what we we to do. You have squeezed the very best out of your trip and I loved it. See you again.
Thanks Rikki, yes shame we had to do the shopping lol, but it was quite handy 👍 Glad you like the music, we try to keep it relaxing, as the canals really are. Thank you so much xx
I was so excited to see you go through Milton Keynes where I lived for 5 years when I was a Social Worker in Buckinghamshire. I used to take the train to London from Wolverton ! If you stop on your way back in Milton Keynes there is a fantastic Museum in Bletchley at Bletchley Park which is where the Enigma Code was broken. Also Central Milton Keynes is worth a visit. Always enjoy your Vlogs . Loved the Drone views. Make me a bit homesick for the UK ! Greetings from Pennsylvania! Congratulations on 4 K subscribers
Oh wow, Pennsylvania, thank you so much for watching! It’s lovely to see where people are from. Milton Keynes is lovely, we’ll definitely be back one day and thank you for the heads up on the museum! Thanks again xx
Yeaaahhh huge congrats on reaching 4,000, totally deserved, brilliant vlogs and this one showed such lovely scenery. We are really chuffed for you both, lots of love Jacqs, mark and woof from Thelma 😊❤❤❤xxx
The buildings are part of the Wolverton rail works. Wolverton was instrumental to the Industrial Revolution… and were the Royal train was built and is stored :)
The GU looked so wonderful in this video. Beautiful weather really helps too. Congratulations on reaching 4k subscribers - well deserved. Your vlogs are always relaxing, interesting and accompanied by lovely music. Have a wonderful week x 😊
What a lovely cruise with such stunning scenery.....the weather certainly helps. As new boaters we're near Fazeley Junction heading south, think we'll have to make our way along there next spring. Enjoy all your vlogs, hopefully one day our paths will cross & well done on reaching 4000.
Hi Sylvia, it’s a lovely canal and beautiful area, how nice to be able to walk it everyday. Thank you so much for your comment, we really appreciate it xx
Hi Julie and Martin, That horn of Martins makes me jump never mind you, seriously I love your vlogs, and your narration. Do you watch tv on a night especially now they are closing in. Did you have a diesel heater put in, I seem to remember Regards Bob
Hiya! Yes, we do watch TV, but often watch RUclips lol 😂 We did have a diesel stove, a Reflex stove, we did a video on it back in December, episode 17, we absolutely love it. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and apologies for Martin making you jump! xx 🤭
Aww thank you, lol re your boat. I was so conscious that I didn’t want to spoil your painted boat reveal, that I deleted the footage I had, so I didn’t have much to put in. Managed to give you a mention tho. Hope you’re both ok, oh and of course Erns! xx
Aww, we could have said hi 👋 We’re you in a boat, or walking by? We were in most of the day, just popped to the caravan park for some lunch and shopping xx
Hi Julie and Martin, what a lovely vlog the grand union looks simply stunning. Loving the drone footage, from the air everything looks so beautiful. I have the DJI mini 2 which is great but as a novice pilot I am still learning. Anyway guys congratulations on the 4000 subs you both really deserve it.....see you both on the next one.....😀😀😀😀
Do you ever have problems with the drone. I recently saw a clip on Lock Lomond where a drone was taken out by a Osprey.. and another clip where it was mobbed by 8 or 9 crows.
Hi Iain, we did have one incident in Springtime, where a couple of Oyster Catchers were swooping and making a lot of noise around the drone. I bought it straight back in, as it seemed that the drone was causing them stress, they perhaps had young in the nest. We are very respectful to nature, even in the boat, we keep a slow pace so as not to disturb the wildlife along the banks of the canal. Thank you so much for commenting, we really appreciate it xx
Hi, yes, we’re heading for the Leicester Line of the GU, we’ll spend winter along there, between Crick and Foxton and Market Harborough, we’re looking forward to it. Thank you! xx
Phew, thank goodness you are sorting that out. He needed a nose job but I didn't like to say because he is bigger than me. Oh!! You meant the boat. How do I delete this, is it this big blue button.
