The Sussex Branch Trail, north of its intersection with Paulinkskill Valley Trail in NJ, runs shortly through a pile of big rocks standing on both sides. There are caves below those rocks, and the temperature on the trail drops almost to freezing levels, even in the middle of the summer. I used to bike this trail, and as you are coming in all sweat and hot, the sensation you experience is close to painful.
I really like that you give a little history of the area that you're in I look forward to your adventures everyday. If I lived closer I would go tag along with you :)
Have you spotted any Bald Eagles ? They have become quite common in the area......As a matter of fact I spotted one just last week hiking the area ( I'm a local ).....He was cruising low up stream along the river . I see them hunting the local farm fields as well.....
Thanks WW! Noisy indeed and perhaps it should be called painted windy cave. Spray paint should be used for your old bicycle and not rocks, trees and old foundations. We should invent something that sprays over top and dissolves the paint, biodegradable of course. See you on your next adventure! DaveyJO
We have collapsed lava tubes out here in New Mexico that get colder during the summer. They look a lot more stable than that pile of small boulders. Nice video.
It’s hard to believe that a cube that small attracted that many people that it was worth building a restaurant and I know the area I’ll go and visit sooner or later but that is a small cave
I noticed there is a roadway near the cave entrance!! For your next video you could dress up like Bigfoot and come running out of the entrance and across the road!!!
They used to sell ice cream in the cave back in the day before refrigeration.

Interesting. Thanks for taking me along
Thanks for sharing
Thank you Cliff, I appreciate all your videos.
I was waiting for Bigfoot to jump out of that cave, lol!!! You should have taken JP with you!!
I agree!!
I DO NOT KNOW HOW A RESTAURANT COULD FIT IN THAT CAVE. BUT IT WAS INTERESTING OF THE DIFFERERENT ROCK FORMATIONS. GREAT FIND.
Cool ;P😁 but small. Thanks for the look.
Thanks for the history tour, i look forward each day to see where you take us.
A very cool place, it would have been a brilliant hangout for Bigfoot if it was in the middle of the forest lol. Thanks for sharing. x
that trail you found leads to the climbing at the base of mt. minsi. pretty steep but not bad.
Interesting place.

I saw one in Morris county NJ the other week, sky high,
I haven't seen any recently, but have a number of times in the past.
One of these up Trevorton. They are pretty neat
Love your videos. We have a few abandoned tunnels here in Clearfield county. Friendship and Hoyt tunnels, sadly both have collapsed.
Cool history. Loved the shot you got when coming out of the cave at the entrance. Beautiful! Thanks. :)

Hope to get out that way someday...

It seems way to small to be a restaurant. A cool cave thou!!!
I HATE GRAFFITI. People RUIN things.
Yeah, especially like on the side of a beautiful mountain.
@@benfrankog6111 Yes, what is wrong with people?
Shut up that shit is awesome
There has been painting on cave walls since there have been caves and people!
Is there anything for you in either Pike or Wayne Counties
As i know. when cold air is coming out..even if it looks little there is much more going on there.
Maybe it is a old mine with some levels..
Just a boulder cave.
At some point will those rocks move around and potentially filled it in?
It's possible, not likely anytime soon though
The graffiti really pisses me off.

No way caves in the NE are 38°. 50° to 58° would be average temp for that area of the country.
What an awsome video i love that cave , shame about the graffiti tho why do that to natural beauty still a lovely cave thankyou😊👍

That is a really good idea!!!
That cave seems to have a lot of spray paint art at its opening....those darn cavemen hooligans sure ruined it for later evolutionary species!!!!!
Do a bigfoot video!!!
