I’m 72, and have had it for 2 1/2 years, in my left inside calf. I was only told to go to a vein specialist, I guess because I have varicose veins in both legs and it must be related? After listening to you all, I’m thinking of asking my PCP to send me to a Dermatologist or Rheumatologist, now. Thank you!

Seeing a rheumatologist or a dermatologist might definitely be helpful. You had commented on some of our urticarial vasculitis videos as well. If you suspect you might have a type of vasculitis that impacts the skin you can find out more about different types of vasculitis on our website. Here's more info on urticarial vasculitis: www.vasculitisfoundation.org/education/vasculitis-types/urticarial-vasculitis/ And you can find info on cutaneous small-vessel vasculitis, another type of vasculitis that effects the skin, here www.vasculitisfoundation.org/education/vasculitis-types/cutaneous-small-vessel-vasculitis/

Have you seen a rheumatologist? They have the most training in autoimmune diseases. We hope you find an explanation for the symptoms you are experiencing.

Are you saying, your doctor didn’t try to cure it?

@@gloriagold9742they finally discovered the cause of the high crp years later incidentally which was vasculitis and then did steroids and steroids sparing meds finally. But initially it was ignored
