Very nice video. Informative and well presented. Your line; "Mad Men"-inspired design gone mad beautifully sums up the Johnson Wax Bldg. As a sight to behold, it is surely a masterwork. A functional office bldg it is not. Enjoyed your narration and connection made between Larkin Bldg in Buffalo, NY and Johnson Bldg in Racine, WI. Both of which are spectacular as Wright designs -- neither of which I would have probably wanted to work in. The built-in furniture, columns and tubes used for roof are all mad ideas. Nutty and impractical. Wright's ability to execute such a bizarre bldg idea is quite an achievement. Makes me want to go to Racine and see it.

Retrofuturistic minimalism with a big warm human touch. I like te vision of the future they had in that era. Very functional and open space, with good natural lighting and warm atmosphere.

It's worth the trip / pilgrimage to Racine, Wisconsin to experience this awe inspiring building.

I'd heard this building leaked like a spaghetti strainer.

I saw the ad featuring Fibber Magee and Molly, I wonder if they have a section just for that show. Johnson's Wax sponsored the show for about 15 years.

I really enjoyed the tour of the building very much. However, can you let me know the exact link for the beautiful piano melody in the background? I'd like to hear the complete composition. Thank you.

I was just watching a pod cast about the Persian Empire and Persepolis in particular. I couldn't help drawing a comparison between the Johnson Wax building and the great hall of Persepolis. Is it possible that FLW drew some inspiration from these ancient buildings?

I'd say it's very possible as you can see ancient architecture referenced in some of his other works like the ziggurat for the Guggenheim Museum and Mayan temples for the Ennis House.

Exactement. Ce serait un bel espace pour travailler dans des inondés de lumière naturelle d'en haut. Je pense que c'est le plus grand bâtiment de Wight. Merci d'avoir commenté.

Natural light from clerestory windows, a favorite feature of Mr. Wright.
