My first truck was a 93 volvo mid roof. It was the Volvo/White GMC. It had a 435 mechanical cummins. I traded basically for the same truck but a 96 with a 3406E cat. After that, I bought a 96 Kenworth T600. It was the last truck that I owned.
There is no way that you are getting 5.5 since you are driving 55 MPH. Something is out of whack. I don't want a DD13 if that is the case. Are you idleing it since it is cold out?
I have one any time I have 40,000 in box and only get 6 and that’s at 62. So if you pull potato chips or Styrofoam you’ll get 7 to 12 other than that bullshit.

Need a extended roof on the day cab to get better fuel mileage
Sounds like driver error. I get 7-8 mpg without even trying hard. I drive a 2020 T680 with a X15. You should be beating me

What’s that truck Axle ratio and easy on the throttle keep it at 62
Should have rented a truck with a dd15
Maybe you need an overhead done on your truck.
How fast you driving?
Around 60 mostly on two lane
I drove a Werner truck for 4 months that had the 505 engine, the 12 speed tranny and 2.16 rears and it was getting 8 ~ 13 mpg at 68 miles per hour.
Personally i drive 55 and I avg 9.8 mpg
In my opinion that’s is a pretty decent fuel mileage, hauling 80000 pounds
@@relaxationstation7374what kind of truck was it?
