The title of this video is ridiculous is it beyond our budget I don’t know try asking the Thai people is it because I know dam well they cannot afford it.The Thai people cannot afford most of this new development bullshit that there doing I don’t like any of it because it’s pushing out the local people and all of these property owners are becoming nothing but profit driven. And so these rent prices are now all inflated.Thailand doesn’t have strong passport still what will this do to the local people foreigners need to stop being self centered stop only thinking about yall selves just because we can afford it doesn’t mean the Thai people can because they can’t.And if everyone cannot afford it then it’s not right yes although for the Thai people to afford it that mean things will be more cheaper for us foreigners but at least in that sense we both can afford it.I really don’t like what there doing at all it’s not right.
Thank you for your thoughts and comments. However, don't you think it's a bit condescending to assume that Thai people cannot afford this condo? Indeed, many cannot, but the same is true for many Westerners. Isn't this similar to London, where many average English people cannot afford to rent? Additionally, who do you think owns the majority of the units in this building?
Plenty of Thais live in these buildings. Equally as many own them and the market presents them opportunity to make money in the rental market. It's how an economy grows in this world. I'm not really sure who you mean by "they" either - Thais own most of the property so its them that set the rental rate for their property. Yes, prices are increasing, but that's a worldwide occurrence - it's called inflation. Prices go up across the board, even as far as a kg of mangoes being 50bht instead of 40bht last year - as the price the consumer pays increases as does the seller's income to pay for it, and therein is the economic cycle.. There are also plenty of Westerners for whom this is out of their budget. Being a foreigner or a Thai does not dictate their wealth. I am from the UK and their are far more foreigners living in the UK proportionately than in Thailand, and are one of the main reasons the prices are higher to live - at least in London. If you want to live in a free-ish society then you have to accept that opportunity brings people and that brings a cost. Happy to have a chat about it someday.
@@timthecopyguy Sorry mate, but thai average monthly income is about 390 dollars, dont believe fairing price about 560 in a small cubicle. I found better deals for 280, its smaller, but has ocean view, pool with view, gym and sauna. Aples to aples, i know anyone can charge as much as they want for their product, but anyways, dont blame me for crossing the street to buy it cheaper, when there absollutelly are. Thats called deflation.
@@snapshotanimefun4097 I think you've strayed off subject a little, but yes it is the same in any country. There are accommodation options for every budget and every city has different market values. I know this building as a friend used to live there, and looked at a condo for myself, and it is in much better condition than a lot of similarly priced tbf and the condos feel more spacious than expected. Glad you found something you like in your budget, but you must have a terrific telescope if you can see the ocean from a Chiang Mai condo....
Haha, Lena sure has a way of making an impression! 🥰😍 While you're here, don’t forget to explore the amazing properties and enjoy everything Chiang Mai has to offer-it’s such a charming and vibrant city. 😊

Glad you like it! 😊 It’s definitely a solid choice for the price-comfortable and with great value for living in Chiang Mai. Rightly or wrongly, USD is generally considered the universal curccency so makes perfect sense to be in USD. Most Thais have Ive spoken to know how much baht they can get for USD.
I’m from the United States, but I’m also not lazy and know how to do the current conversion for any currency. My wife and I will be retiring to Thailand ourselves in a few years and will definitely ring you up since Chiang Mai is on our list of potential areas we want to move to. Mahalo and take care!!!

I paid $300 a month in Tokyo for a parking space $300 more for condo maintenance and sinkinv fund Mortgage over $1000 $1600 before electric and internet
At the end, you mention the rent and it doesn't seem to be the same as in the title. The description has the rent at $560 US but when you described it at the end of the video she says 13,000THB per month, and you said around $257 US dollars, but all three of those figures cannot be correct. My guess is that the rent is 13,000 THB or $351 US dollars.

$560 too small one room unfurnished about 25% too expensive
Great place, but, it’s probably best to keep the prices in baht and we can do the conversion ourselves. Again, great place and mahalo for the tour.
