I still can't believe George Barris got this car for only $1 dollar! AMAZING! George Barris is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS he is credited with building many custom TV show and celebrity cars, a lifelong passion indeed!❤🚗⭐
To drive a Batmobile so well built that it drives like a brand new Lincoln would be a dream come true. Very cool that someone is actually building them that well.
Wow! What a great video. Mark is a dear friend of my family and I (he was my dad's college roommate) and we love visiting the shop and seeing the cars. If you ever are near the shop, stop in and I'm sure he would give a tour to anyone that stops in. Thanks for the video with all the cool and interesting info about the shop!
You have an awsome business building Batmobiles for a living, watching this video is like touring in person seeing the workd you do and showing all the Batman toys and models are impresive. Keep up the good work!!
These iconic cars are beautiful, and I would love to see someone build a Batcave in their shop or have the cave a working shop. Ever since the show came out I've always wanted a Batcave with my own Batmobile.
This is an awesome evidence and it seems like this guy and shop is a really, honest and genuine group. I love that he has the Batman Shag print on his shelves. So great to see! As a huge Classic Batman fan And classic car collector, I’ve also thought about a Batmobile. I’ll have to check them out! Thanks for sharing!
I place no value on cars and if i won a lottery i would be happy with a brand new Honda Civic. However, one car I have always dreamt about is this one and I could not resist buying one. These look beautiful and congratulations on the fine work these people are doing!
I owned a bodyshop, and this guy's work is very STRAIGHT! He looks like the comic book nerd on The Simpsons but w/a sweet attitude. And by the way, a "Lambo" (Lamboghini) is not "American muscle", it's Italian. Thanks for the video.
Cool video thanks for sharing I loved watching the Batman Tv show I grew on it. When it came out in 66 I was three. There was only one real Batman that was Adam West he is sadly missed. Hard to believe he has been gone since 2017
Yes, I love your mom and I love you and miss your love you have always been my favorite and I love you so very deeply and thank God. ❤ I love you. 🌎 ❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Too bad we can't combine our experiences. I'm from Detroit, worked at the Ford Rouge plant, moved to California, lived right up the road from George Barris's garage and showroom in North Hollywood, worked at Burbank Studios and I DID get to meet Cesar Romero. So I imagine the two of us would have a lot of stories to share.
I remember that the original "lead sled" Batmobile/Futura had a 368 c.i. Turnpike Cruiser V8. The 4 other Batmobiles Barris made were fiberglass, made from molds created from the original. These other Batmobiles were considerably lighter and had 289 or 302 small-block Ford V8's.
I would love to have the money to get one of these built. This would be such a dream.. ONE day If I get the blessings from above I would love to drive one of these around the block in my neighborhood.
I wish I could afford one. (sigh). Was wondering where you stuck the speedometer if it has a speedometer? I know the original had it in the center of the steering wheel.
Oh my god! AWESOME! Keep it up! I love you guys! And dont thank me, let me thank YOU for taking the time to make these videos without asking for anything back! :)
They costumes, and Batmobile interior, are aerosol sprayed with a variant of the Bat Shark Repellent to keep them from getting wet in the rain. See The Batman Movie for details.
Columbus, GA Honda motorcycle and Allison boat dealer, the late Tommy Wages, drove the (modified Allison) BatBoat during the shooting of the original Batman movie...just in case you needed that small amount of trivia.
BATMAN, swinging from a rubber band, BATMAN, eating from a garbage can, BATMAN, screwing every one he can . . . . . It's what we sang back when the campy Batman show was on two evenings per week. (I usually just watched Lost in Space, which was not quite as campy.)
My brothers and I would have a field day with the Batmobiles! We grew up on the "60's "Batman" AND "The Green Hornet". By the way, the "60's Batman was my First Contact with Batman.
Do you have any info or a link, I remember seeing a Batmobile with a 427 Ford fender emblem. I've seen some Batmobiles with the blue oval Ford emblem, but I could swear that I saw a youtube video where there was a Batmobile with a 427 Ford emblem on the front fenders. It may have been on one of the ones that Barris refurbished?
Hey mark this is greg hawkins you cousin how you doing that’s cool your still doing that might have to take a trip there to check you shop out take it easy all doing ok here later
Wow the car is perfect, well done, it’s now on my list of kids electric cars to make once my 1989 Batmobile is finished. It seems I am a nerd...... mmmm. Know Expert.
That scene where they show the bat mobile turn 180 degrees is right down the block from 20th Century Fox studios where the series was filmed. That street is in Century City and named Avenue of the Stars. I use to work in Century City and I can't believe the number of buildings that are NOT yet built in 1966, Wow, the city looks empty.
I understand they're experts and DC Licensed but, to my eye, that red pinstriping looks about twice as wide as it should be. My sister had the Batmobile and boat shown at 13:40. That's geared wheel next to the exhaust stacks - it came with little plastic things, almost like grains of rice, you could drop in the exhausts, then you'd turn the wheel, which had a spring somewhere on it, and the plastic things would shoot out. A battering ram blade thing would pop out the center front of the car, too. Batman (and Robin) was always in a seated position so, if she took him out, she always called him "Paralyzed Sister."
Dis dude has no idea how MUCH of a RUclips legend of legends he can be
I still can't believe George Barris got this car for only $1 dollar! AMAZING! George Barris is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS he is credited with building many custom TV show and celebrity cars, a lifelong passion indeed!❤🚗⭐
I am a child of the 50's 60's etc. As soon as I seen the Bat Mobile I fell in love and still have that same childhood love for that car.
To drive a Batmobile so well built that it drives like a brand new Lincoln would be a dream come true. Very cool that someone is actually building them that well.
I love your work, truly amazing
Thank you for the work to keep our childhood alive
They are amazing

What a beautiful work of authentic automotive art!
These iconic cars are beautiful, and I would love to see someone build a Batcave in their shop or have the cave a working shop. Ever since the show came out I've always wanted a Batcave with my own Batmobile.
Labor of love. One of our favorite shows to watch!👍
Not only an amazing car but truly one amazing person!
I think I saw this car today driving up New Hampshire Avenue in Ashton, Maryland around 5:15. I was very intrigued!
Wow! Outstanding job on this icon Mark. George Barris would be very proud.

Wow… that is so kool. It grew up watching that in action. Loved those memorable times🤩
i grew up watching batman and the batmobile is still the greatest custom car ever built

Holy fiberglass Batman
Bucket list car. That was cool.
Good on ya’ shooting during the noisiest possible conditions rendering the audio unlistenable.
Nice place to work, nice guy to work for, fun car to build
Look! It's 'Bald-man'!😁👍

Awesome as always guys
Thanks erik :)
Guys, that was an awesome video to watch! Besides it just being "cool", I learned a lot of interesting bat-stuff. :Excellent! :)
Haha well good! The more batman knowledge the better :)
The batmobile from the tv series lives on from our hearts which is cause of the great actor Adam West.💖
I wish I could afford one. (sigh). Was wondering where you stuck the speedometer if it has a speedometer? I know the original had it in the center of the steering wheel.
Really cool... I got some of original megos... awesome cars and collection.✌👽 Great video👍👍👍
Not all heros wear capes
dynaguy! what a great loo.....
NO CAPES!!!!
True,my dad was a hero, he didn't wear a cape, he just had a growth on his back....stunk like Cheetos
There goes my hero, watch him as he goes!
Oh my god! AWESOME! Keep it up! I love you guys! And dont thank me, let me thank YOU for taking the time to make these videos without asking for anything back! :)
Federico Pelayo haha well thank you for your kind words how about that? :)
See? That's why i love you guys :D
Awesome! Fiberglass Freaks rock!
I’ve always wanted to own a Batmobile ❤❤😊
When Batmobile goes out in the rain , Batman and Robin must be drenched.
It's "Batman," not "Blade Runner!" Never rained in Gotham City in the '60s.
They costumes, and Batmobile interior, are aerosol sprayed with a variant of the Bat Shark Repellent to keep them from getting wet in the rain. See The Batman Movie for details.
This guy seems so nice
"Not the Cadillac Eldorado? Should I throw away my back pack before lunch?!" 🗨🤣🥪🎒💫 "I was a kid too, I'm really missing that red line..." ☎️🚨🔇
Hi you do great work on the batmobile but answer me a question did it have disc brakes or drums the original brakes
Thank you.
The 66 is the coolest, the Tumbler is the baddest. I want both.
redeyetrucker67 , I have a beautiful Metal Model of The 66 Batmobile from the TV show and it lights up 👍
Best youtubers ever
Columbus, GA Honda motorcycle and Allison boat dealer, the late Tommy Wages, drove the (modified Allison) BatBoat during the shooting of the original Batman movie...just in case you needed that small amount of trivia.
the Batboat was built by Glastron
It was driven by stuntman Hubie Kerns
I wouldn't dare drive this beauty on the road. Defeats the point of a car I know but no way I'd risk it haha.
This is so Awesome! Thank you for Sharing!!
Np thank you for watching
You can see the joy
Interesting video. It's too bad the audio isn't better.
I think awesomeness just went into a 20 minute video!

I've got two of them on order. One for in town and one for up at the cabin.
Wow the car is perfect, well done, it’s now on my list of kids electric cars to make once my 1989 Batmobile is finished. It seems I am a nerd...... mmmm. Know Expert.

Funny if you drove this car about,i imagine it’s instantly recognizable anywhere and by everyone, every age worldwide.
My Bucket List
C'mon Mega Millions
Daddy needs a Batmobile
These are built in Logansport, IN?
They should raffle one of these off. Sell 1000 tickets for $100 each, so that an average fan could try and win .
Its funny you mention raffle. In the movie "It started with a kiss" Debbie Reynolds wins the Futura in a raffle.
Or 2000 tickets at $50.
I'd be in at that.
I told my dad to raffle off the growth on his back, in 1977 it smelled like Cheetos
The. good model costs over $200k, so they’d have to sell like 2500 tickets.
Ide buy several tickets
Bat turn moonshiners would love that concept
Ur my favourite youtube ur keep up the good videos
geek stop thank you for the support :)
Wow this is cool how are you guys and can u pls do a Q an A its really fun to do it is my birthday today :)

Our cat is good. Shes just a lazy normal cat lol
I drove the original Batmobile in Houston or Dallas Car Show in the 60's. Jeff
I understand they're experts and DC Licensed but, to my eye, that red pinstriping looks about twice as wide as it should be.
