FREE Camping at the largest lake in Arkansas. Lake Ouachita in Arkansas is the largest lake within the state of Arkansas! There are endless camping opportunities around the lake, but one of our favorites thus far is Big Fir National Park, or as we like to call it, windy point.

WHO ARE WE?
We're Zach and Ally. Life in a van is all we've known for the past six years.
In 2017 we left behind our tiny apartment and old lives in search of something new and inspiring. Our first attempt at being nomadic failed horribly. We planned a trip to the Australian Outback, where we would spend at least one year traveling, working, and exploring new terrain. Three days before we were to leave, our plans fell right through our fingertips. We were devastated.
Instead of returning to our lives as we knew them, we pushed forward and moved into our first van. With the money we got back from our failed Australia trip, we headed to South Florida for the winter, and, oh, how it completely changed our lives!
We've traveled from coast to coast and back again in our tiny home on wheels. Join us as we navigate through this ever-changing life of adventure!

It was lovely!!! The only complaint was how windy it was, haha. We called it windy point. But after talking to a few locals, we found out that’s how it always is there that time of year.

Sure! It was Big Fir Public Use Area! This was a couple years ago! So I’m not sure if they changed the rules or anything! But it was a beautiful place to camp!
